MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Your Magic Kingdom day looks great! I love the opening show! I can't wait to hear about the Wishes dessert party! That may be one of our 2013 fun things!!

And can I just say, I LOVE that balloon pic!!

Michelle, your plans for MK sound great (did I miss Haunted Manlsion on your list?). I love all of the things on your list (well, except COP ;)).

Oh my gosh, because of all the 7 am openings we went to on our trip 9:00 seems so late (Epcot was the only one we never went to earlier than that!). I really hope you get to the MK to see the opening show. It is so great. If walking through the gates makes you smile, then the opening show will probably bring tears to your eyes. It really is magical!

Anyway, your list of Must-dos looks great. And yes, it is called the People Mover again. ;)

Day 3- DHS

What a full, fantastic, Fantasmic day you have planned here!

Love that photopass photo of you all in front of the hat. If that woman who is in the shot was just one step closer, she would look like she was part of your family, with the sunglasses and all. Photobomb!

I have only seen Beauty & the Beast once. Same with Little Mermaid. I am the victim of being female in a family of all boys. I had to see these two shows solo, while the boys were at Indiana Jones, so it has been a couple of years since I have seen that show. Also have not done the Animation Academy, but it looks like so much fun. Maybe if I told the guys it was a contest...

I'm so glad your guys are making their first trip to Sci Fi!

Now back to read about Day 4.

Goodness gracious! We are planning on MK on the 30th as well.

My goal is to get Dumbo and the Barnstormer done first, then Fantasyland. We have to say good-bye to Snow White.

Good luck on making the show! We love it!

I'm still trying to figure out our full schedule for the day. We have DH's birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare that evening, so I'm not sure if we are going to want to trek all the way back to BC or not in the afternoon.

I guess we'll try to get our "must-do's" done and see how we feel and what time it is.

By the way, my co-workers laugh at me because I told them once that every time I see the castle for the first time, I tear up a little bit. I love it!

Day 4- MK

What a great vantage point you had for the Wishes photos from your past trip. Can't wait to see the ones from the dessert party!

I love your late morning breakfast plans!

We always ride/FP Peter Pan first thing.

My family are also FP hoarders and I will be interested in hearing how the experience goes for you. My trip in a few weeks won't offer the opportunity to maximize FPs- the kids will be in classes two of the mornings, so we won't be able to collect FPs unless they have afternoon return times.

UGH on the possiblity BTMRR may not be open in time! That is my favorite ride.

I'm liking your MK plans. I, too, hope that we can ride Snow White before it closes and that the rumors that the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurb are just that...rumors.

I can hardly wait to hear what you thought about the Wishes Dessert Party. This is something that we've thought about doing but since we are on the dining plan and have desserts with our dinner, I am not sure we'd get out money's worth. We used to watch the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Noodle Station back when it was called something else. It's a great place to watch the fireworks and you can even see Tinkerbell flying overhead.

Great pictures once again! Sounds like an amazing day and I love your list of must do's...I always find that helps us keep on track! I do have a tendancy to veer off every now and then:rolleyes1

Your list of must dos look oddly familiar :rotfl: I think we may have to have someone go grab fps for pp while Minnie gets her first haircut at 9:30 a.m. Looks like a great day, and great plans. . .love the pictures!
Maybe we'll see you sometime during the day, and def during the dessert party--and those pictures of the desserts do look soooo yummy :)

What a fun (and packed!) first MK day! I can't believe you haven't seen the opening ceremony yet. You all are going to love it. I got to watch it with DS on Friday and, as usual, it brought tears to my eyes. Luckily DH didn't make fun of me this time; he knew better. ;)

PP is typically our first ride of the morning when we’re in MK, but I think we will all want to ride the “new” Dumbo. We are definitely going to try to get through the Snow White ride, since it will close after this day. I’m sure while we’re near, we will ride IASW---a classic, even though it is a little cheesy! ;)

Ok so, I've read it closes on the 31st. Does this means its last day open is the 30th or will the 31st be its last day open and then its closed after that?? Your MK day sounds fantastic!!

I hope you make it to Rope drop. It's one thing we definitely have to do every trip and my daughter and I are looking forward to it again this year!

Can't help but get excited about all those Magic Kingdom plans and a ticker that is showing less than three weeks! :dance3:

I discovered this weekend through some FB pictures that relatives of friends that used to go to our church go to your school. She was showing pictures of her niece's field day. I knew the relatives lived in AL, but I didn't know what part until I saw the pictures.

I call it the PeopleMover, too... and that's what it will always be, LOL!

Y'all will enjoy the dessert party! My mom loved loved loved it (for her, it was more so for the fact we had a place to sit and watch the fireworks - without having to stake our claim an hour in advance - than for the desserts) In fact, she's put it on the "wish list" for our next trip :thumbsup2

Having being previously a fastpass hoarder, this park is going to require some thinking on my part about where we go first. Right now I’m thinking the plan will be to go to the new Fantasy Land and ride Dumbo first. Then it will be back through FL to grab a fastpass for Peter Pan.

I just read this article on EasyWDW regarding how to tour with the new FP enforcements... thought you might find it useful:

I need to keep this in mind. I have always said there is no way we could get anywhere near our money's worth out of doing this, because I can only eat a few sweet bites at a time and I'm done. Maybe I should put more consideration into the good seating than the food. I do think it would be much more appealing to me if they added some salty into the sweet mix, though. If they had sweets and assorted non-sweet nibbles, like chips, pretzels, maybe mini-corn dogs or finger sandwiches, I could definitely go for that!

I am glad you brought this point up. Something for me to reconsider for reasons other than the ungodly amounts of sugar. :)

I too only know about the Animation Academy from Dis!!

Your MK day sounds great too. I am going to eagerly await your trip report to read about the dessert party as I love desserts and fireworks so really think we should do this next year!

I should also mention that having a place to sit and watch Wishes was great because it POURED BUCKETS about an hour before it was time to check-in for the party. So being in the terrace restaurant was also a huge plus, as it was covered and kept dry.

I like your idea of adding some salty snacks to the mix! I do have a sweet tooth, but I also like salty.

What a fun, fun day you have planned. Ohana & the dessert party all in one day?!? How yummy is that? Sounds like a wonderful plan!
'Ohana is early---before 11 a.m., then the dessert party is not until 9 p.m.. Hoping I'll be a little hungry! ;)

I can't wait to hear about the Wishes dessert party! That may be one of our 2013 fun things!!

I will definitely let you know what I think about the dessert party! :thumbsup2

Thanks on the balloon pic! :)

Michelle, your plans for MK sound great (did I miss Haunted Manlsion on your list?). I love all of the things on your list (well, except COP ;)).

You originally did miss HM! Good eyes! Of course I intend to ride HM! I went back and edited and added it to our list. :thumbsup2

I really hope you get to the MK to see the opening show. It is so great. If walking through the gates makes you smile, then the opening show will probably bring tears to your eyes. It really is magical!

I know that I would love it---just got to get over there early enough! :hyper:

The opening show is super cute -- all of you will love it!

Hopefully I'll be able to compare notes with you after this trip! ::yes::

 I had to go back to see what you were talking about! I had not even noticed her before, but you're right!
