Maybe it has already been posted here - BTMRR rehab official

Ooops..... we are going to miss it too :( our first day in the MK is August 26th.

Oh well - an excuse to come back again :p

>>^..^<<

Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of rehabs? Thanks!

The only two I know of is at MGM. On September 1, the Magic of Disney Animation will close for at least a month for a revamping tour. No details of what will be updated or when it may re-open, but it will be at least a month and may be closed for as much as 3 months.

Also, on September 17th, the Tower of Terror will be closed through the rest of the month and possibly into October. The reason for the rehab is to get a whole new Tower console for the ride.

Bump......

Specifically, do rehab generally run on-time, finish early, or finish late. Perhaps one of the CM, like Safari Steve, can provide some insight. We will be there till 11/15 and are wondering about our chances for BTMRR being back in operation.

Thanks!

nrose101 - Are those "official" and where did you get your info?
Thanks!
We'll be bummed too. My cousin will be big enough to ride BTMRR as a first "big ride" and Animation is my favorite. :(

When the rehab is finished, the mountain will be clean and freshly painted in bright orange and rust colors, looking just a beautiful as a real desert canyon out West.

But what I really wanted to know if there was a chance of it being done and operating before 11/16 or is that just hoping too much! What's the trends on rehabs?

Thanks!

I finally was going to get up the nerve and ride (total ride wimp) this year, and DS would most likely be tall enough and wanted to ride with me! Darn!!!!!!! Oh well, looks like it's Goofy's Barnstormer for us - and maybe, if I can get up the nerve, Space Mountain?!?!?

The aim is always to finish ahead of schedule, but never ever ever plan on it happening. It all depends on individual circumstances. Some rehabs have finished ahead of schedule, some have finished behind schedule, but they're usually close to the projection. Don't hold your breath and don't plan your vacation around it.

Pretty much what I expected! Hoping for an early return of the mountain, planning a GREAT time regardless!

Maybe we'll run into you!

Count us in with those mourning for the little guys excited to ride one of their first "big" rides! We've been looking at the maps and pictures for weeks and my DS and DD (both 5) had BTMR at the top of their list! DARN! Well, I guess I can't say we won't still have the time of our lives! No Lion King for us either! Glad we'll be there for the animation though before it closes!

Guess we will need to get over there and ride it before it goes down--- it is one of my favorites. That seems to be a right lengthy rehab time. They must really have some extensive work to do. Usually rehabs don't last 3 months! It is good that it will be back up for the Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds, though!
