Maybe a silly question but I do not remember...

We fly out on Tuesday. I can check in online on Monday (NWA). At this time, do I print out everyone's individual E ticket for our tirp, and they take that at the gate?
If I print out our return tickets now, do I just check in online at the resort the day before, and same procedure, just take our printed-at-home tickets to the gate?
I know it's basic, but we haven't flown in a while!

I believe you can only check in 24hours prior to your departure. So, your return would have to be the day before you leave.

When you print your boarding passes then all you have to do is take them to the gate if you aren't checking luggage but if you are checking luggage then you need to check with the ticket counter or a skycap.

Have fun!

As the other poster mentioned you can only check in for your return flight 24 hours in advance.

But I can do that at the resort the day before we leave, right? I think I've read they offer this service. Luckily we will have ME so before we leave the resort we will be leaving our luggage with them.

There's a lot of discussion on this board about checking in online. That's primarily because many people fly Southwest, one of the few airlines without seat assignments. By checking in online Southwest passengers can get into an earlier boarding group, and thus have more seats to choose from when boarding the aircraft.

However, if you're flying on a legacy carrier, and you have seat assignments and checked luggage, there's really no benefit to checking in online. When you check your bags at the airport (at the counter of with a skycap), you'll also get boarding passes.

I always have my e-ticket receipt with me, just in case there's any sort of problem at the airport. But I've never had to show it. The e-ticket receipt is not a boarding pass. It's what you get at the time of purchase, through e-mail or snail mail, depending on how you purchsed your tickets.

Yes, Northwest Airlines participates in Resort Airline Check-in.

You would use Resort Airline Check-in on the day of your flight, 3-12 hours before your flight. The remote skycap at the Resort Airline Check-in counter will check your photo IDs, issue boarding passes, tag your luggage for your final destination, and send your luggage to a secure luggage truck.

There's nothing to do the day before your flight except to look for a DME envelope on your room's doorknob or under the door. The envelope will contain your motorcoach pick-up time and instructions for Resort Airline Check-in.

Has this been added recently? Because when we flew NWA in Jan, they did not allow us to do check-in at the hotel(we stayed at POR). Even though I had paperwork and from the DME video on the bus saying NWA was a participating resort check-in airline, they said they were in fact NOT a participating airline. The concierge tried to print out our boarding passes for us as a courtesy, so we would only have to check our luggage at the airport, but one member of our party was prevented from online checkin so we had to wait till we got to the airport anyway.

Yes. Northwest has finally been added. See the first question under "RESORT AIRLINE CHECK-IN SERVICE FOR DOMESTIC DEPARTURES" in Disney's Magical Express FAQ.

If one member of your party could not check in online, then that person may also not be able to use Resort Airline Check-in. If it was only a random security check, then the problem should not repeat. If the person has the same name as someone on the no-fly list, then the person will have to check in at the airport.

Thanks for the info on NWA..we are using them in January and I was wondering if we couldc checkin at the resorts! Thanks!

If you're on an overbooked flight (on a legacy) that has to resort to bumping, those who checked in last may have the greatest chance of being bumped. So I wonder if this might be a benefit of doing OLCI in advance? We have a very early morning flight in a couple of weeks and even tho we'll be checking bags I'm planning to get our boarding passes the day before just in case ... while we'll be leaving home in plenty of time to make the flight, United check in lines at Dulles are notorious for their unpredictability (much like the TSA lines  ) and I'd hate to be one of the last to check in on an over booked flight!

If you have a rental car the resort check-in for NWA is way cool. No hassles with luggage while trying to return the rental car. We were thrilled when NWA was added.
Also, I was able to check-in for both DH and myself at BWV. Thought this was kind of a breach in security...
