We loved the Chacchobben ruins in Costa Maya. We couldnt believe how big the ruins were. Very impressive, and my kids love history so it was a great tour. Be sure to bring bug spray!

We are going on our first trip there in May. We are staying in Akumal which is known for snorkeling. (which we have never done yet!)

Locogringo is great and has lots of info on their boards and USAtransfers is recommended highly by everyone.

I love that area. I actually love it more than Disney, the beaches are great, food is yummy, nice people.
