We would like to use a table service credit at the Maya Grill-which is the better meal: breakfast or dinner? Thanks!!

Dinner is amazing! As a fan of southwestern/mexican style cuisine, I found the menu to be more diverse and original than San Angel in Epcot. Excellent preparation. An excellent value.

Never tried breakfast. However dinner is VERY good. Really a do not miss place to dine.

I also have to say dinner there is very good. Value wise, dinner is a much better deal on the DDP. Enjoy Maya Grill!

Really???
I have seen so many not so good reviews. I am staying at CSR for our upcoming trip.. maybe I should see if I could get in.:confused3

Well, I like it but that's just me. Actually, there are not so good reviews of every place in WDW. If you only dine at the ones that get great reviews, you will be dining nowhere! Check out the menu on allearsnet.com and see if anything appeals to you. We enjoyed our meal there and being able to dine at your resort is very convenient.

You are absolutely right.. and I have a rule generally to try things first before judging. I guess it just doesn't get the hoopla that some other places do. The menu looks just fine to us. We aren't big seafood eaters.. but just about anything else is fine with us. I think I will try to see if their are any openings. It may be nice to come back for a mid afternoon nap/swim and have a nice dinner before heading back out for the evening.

I kinda think all three moderate resort restaurants are best kept secrets kind of places. I have enjoyed Shutters, Boatrights and Maya Grill. They aren't O'Hana or one of the other "must do" resort restaurants, but I have had very good meals at all three. They are generally easy to get into which is another nice thing. Its not like you have to call months in advance, you can plan closer in and still get a decent adr time.

I had the ribeye at Maya Grill and it was amazing. We had done a full day at Blizzard Beach, my inlaws had done a full day at the Kennedy Space Center and coming back to our resort to rest and then just walk over for a good dinner was perfect-o! Then strolling back all nice and full around the lake was the perfect ending.

I can't imagine going wrong with the Maya Grill.
Their chicken is the best on property (that I have had). I also have had their beef tips.
Their specials are always very good choices. One time DH had trout topped with crab. He did everything but lick his plate clean.

Took your advice and booked it for September. I snagged a 5:30 ressie which was perfect.
I am actually looking forward to it.
It will be nice to not have to rush off and ride a bus to get to dinner.
We have character meals.. we have our "must do" meals. This will be a nice break from the craziness.
And.. there were still several times open for the 16th of September if anyone is still looking:)

Thanks for the great replies-I have to admit that the dinner menu is REALLY tempting! Now, I just have to wait for the dining system to come back up for our travel dates....:surfweb:
