Well, it has been a very long time (8 years!) since we've been there, but we loved it. Maya Grill has a remarkably different menu, great food, and a pleasantly uncrowded atmosphere.

Robbie had a pumpkin-seed encrusted red snapper and I had a mixed seafood grill, with lobster, shrimp and other goodies. Both were excellently prepared, with a good amount of ethnicness. I found the yuca fries a bit bland, and there was no salt nor pepper on the table to remedy this. Robbie's basil mashed potatoes were much better.
If anything, I regret ordering the seafood; It seemed to me that the chicken, though on the less expensive side of the menu, would be the best choice, as they type of spicing they use at the Maya Grill would tend to go best with Chicken. (Not to mention the fact that it sits in that marinade for hours!)
If you're worried about finding a great place to have a very nice, interesting meal on short notice without priority seating reservations, Maya Grill is it.
