I did a search and couldn't find many reviews. :confused3 Please tell me about your experiences. Thanks!!:thumbsup2

We ate at Maya Grill back in April of 2007. Originally, we'd had dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare with friends to meet Cinderella. Unfortunately, they're DD got horribly sick so we had to cancel. This was SPring Break, so almost every where was booked solid! I was initially disappointed at missing the character dinner, but our Concierge got us reservations at the Maya Grill. My disappointment turned into delight.

The food & service was simply marvelous. The interior was tastfully decorated and where we sat seemed almost private. Our appetizers were a mixed green salad and shrimp cocktail with spicy aioli. For dinner we each ordered the filet and were very pleased. For dessert I had the flan and my husband's choice was either something chocolate or cheesecake, I can't remember. Whatever it was, he was pleased.

Given the choice, I'd pick somewhere just as nice in or near a park: Le Cellier, Concourse, etc. If you aren't stay ing at CSR, then have have to go from your resort to a park and then catch another bus to CSR. If you want somewhere away from the parks, the Turf Club would also be a great choice.

Thanks Mom2Evie! I'm glad you liked the Maya Grill. Thanks for the very detailed review.:thumbsup2 It doesn't seem like too many people go there. We're staying at CSR, so it would be convenient.

Funny you should mention Le Cellier and Concourse, those are our 2 favorite restaurants!

Where is The Turf Club?

The Turf Club is at Saratoga Springs, not far from Downtown Disney. I found some reviews that you might find helpful., many people give it a 10.

Of course, this made me look up reviews to Maya Grill and they aren't as flattering.

My husband and I honeymooned at CSR & just love it. We've stayed at the All Star Resorts since then. It allows us to spend more days at WDW with our daughter or multiple trips per year. We'll celebrate our 10th anniversary next August and I'd like to go back, just the two of us. I can't wait!!

Maya Grill does have a fabulous breakfast buffet. Wow!!

Mom2Evie-Thanks for the links. The Turf Club sounds great!!! I don't know how I missed it on the Disboards.:confused3 I think I'll make an ADR there for our Downtown Disney night. Thanks for the great suggestion.:cool1:

Enjoy your Sept trip and I hope you have a Happy 10th Anniversary at CSR! :cloud9:

We have been there a few times and at this point, won't be rushing back. Our last visit there...8 months or so ago was not good. Mostly a problem with the service as the waitress messed up 2 of our 3 orders and she messed up mine twice. She was inattentive and uncaring. Even management did not really give us any satisfaction when we discussed our experience with them. The food we had....steaks and sides were pretty good; once they got the order right but the service far overshadowed the food and in a negative way.

Food wise, the place is ok to good...not great. Service poor...and the last time sealed the deal there for us as service has never been good there.

We are trying Maya Grill for the first time in almost 2 weeks. buffalogirl: I will post a review when we return. I, too, did not find many reviews on it, but we are on the DDP and will have a rental car, so we were judging by menus. The Maya Grill had steak, which both DH and my unadventurous (eating wise) 14.5 year old DS will eat, so I thought we would give it a try and check out CS while we are there.

GolfCrazy: I am sorry to hear about the service there being below par. I hope we have a better experience (fingers crossed, of course).

buffalowgirl: Hope your trip is wonderful! :)

Hi disgirl!

Enjoy your upcoming trip. :goodvibes

I look forward to your Maya Grill review, I hope you and your family have great meal there. :thumbsup2

We ended up going to Maya in May after our DS (2) was having a bad day and we knew he would not make it to our 8:45 adr at the Concourse...it did take a long time to get there (and back), but the food quality and taste was very good. All three adults in our group had the combo platter with ribs, fish, and filet...great food! Not as "Themed" as most disney resorts but a great place for good food.
