May vs June 2015

Hi all,

I'm conspiring with my family and in laws to take my husband away to DLP for his 40th next year. We can't go over his actual birthday because of childcare issues so I'm comparing May & June. Getting good prices at the Kyriad & via Eurostar, basically I'm looking at a £20 difference between the months which is really neither here not there.

Is there one month that is better than the other? I looked at historic park hours and there didn't seem to be much difference. Obviously June should theoretically be warmer but is there any other differences? Are there fireworks at any point or French school holidays I should take into consideration?

Hi Queenie,
Spring into spring season will be on until 31st May, so if you want to see Marys and Burts dancing down main street, choose May.
There are zone B and C French hold at the very beginning of May, zone C go back after the 1st weekend, zone B not til after the 10th.
UK has a half term the last week of May too.
June looks pretty clear for holidays, but won't have the spring festival.

Actually, I would avoid the last week in June too, as the Spanish will start their summer holidays.

Right now we're looking at May 15-17th or June 5-7th.

Weekends are much busier than weekdays, if job permits, try to go then.
I'm going 18-22 May (Mon to Fri) and hopefully it will be quiet but warm and full of the joys of spring lol

No way we can do midweek, I'm gonna have enough trouble getting the Friday booked as annual leave behind his back.

One last question. I'm booking Eurostar direct and the train gets in at 2pm. The return train leaves DLP at 5pm so we need to be at the station around 4pm correct?

Do those times make it worth buying a 3-day ticket? The parks seem to be open until 10/11pm, we're staying at the Kyriad so we could be in the park for say 4pm. It's an extra £48 to get 3 day tickets over 2 days right now, not sure whether to bother or just spend the night at the Village/in the hotel?
