So I am looking to rent DVC points and hopefully staying at the Animal kingdon lodge in the delux studio my question is can you put a single size air mattress for a peson to sleep on? It will be my two 16 year olds and my best friend also i was just wondering if that would fit ...

You can not exceed the capacity of a room. If you are in compliance with the capacity, you are okay to bring an air mattress to accommodate your party's need for separate sleeping surfaces.

Particularly if you are renting points, you need to follow the rules of the resort. You can cause significant trouble for the owner and yourself if you are caught breaking a life safety rule (capacity.)

Just a quick note of warning... This is not in the same category as using your refillable mug from 8 trips ago... Violating the capacity is a major deal and they will require you to get an additional room at the full rack rate. If you refuse, you would be asked to leave the resort.

As long as you are not looking at the value studio you should find somewhere to put the air mattress although it may be in the hallway near the bathroom and make going to the bathroom by everyone else during the night impossible. You will need to bring the bedding for the air mattress as it will not be provided by AKL.

It should probably fit, but it could be tight. If you book the one bedroom (not value villa), you would get one king bed, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sized sleeper chair.

It would be a tight squeeze in a value studio- but you could *probably* make it fit

I read it the same way.... OP, friend and 2 kids to = 4.

It'll be tight but doable. I do suggest a 1 bedroom non value though as mentioned above. If you can do it at Kidani you will get 2 bathrooms which may be a godsend with 4 people getting ready in the morning.

Hi, We did exactly this for our trip last year! We bought our DD best friend who happens to be a boy and at 15 they would NOT be sleeping in the same bed!

We packed the air mattress and purchased a small pump to make it easier. It was put between the bed and the balcony door at night and during the day we just propped it up against the wall. Lenghwise.

We paid for the extra linens since we were also renting DVC points. It was a wonderful solution and we left the mattress and pump when we left.
