so DCL called me today because we dont have ground transfers booked in Barcelona too and from the ship. Disney offers transfer from the ship the airport for $30 pp. There are 8 in our group. Does anyone ahve suggetsions for how to get back to the airport. Anyone do this back in 07' or hae anything booked?? Any help would be great. Thanks so Much.

Hey Jon,

Up on the web page are links to a couple of companies being used by cruisers in other Med threads. You might check them out. Your other option would be two taxis.

No, you're not too late. PM ebony (Jan) on the number of lanyards you want and the first names and DIS name(s). I need to put in the order Friday but I'll get some extras just in case.

Just send a PM to ebony who's gathering the list of people. As for paying for it, I'll pay for them. Later, if folks want to chip in a dollar or two that's fine...if not, that's fine too. Believe me, I won't sweat it.

I thought it was cool and funny that auntlynne posted on the East Bound Transatlantic Cruise thread that other cruisers were jealous that they didn't get a cool DIS lanyard.

I am a little worry about the short connection time at Heathrow, since we only have 1 hour to navigate at Heathrow between terminal 5 & 3. Anyone have experience with connecting at Heathrow?

Just so happen that I am in London for business this week flying with BA, and it seems that moving from terminal 5 to terminal 3 would be challenging especially trying to move quickly with an 11 month old. I just hope that if we miss our connection from London to Barcelona, BA will take care of us and put us on a later flight.

FOUR WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!!!

We leave four weeks from today for Barcelona, via Madrid on AA, connecting to Iberia. We arrive around 1pm on Thursday, and we plan to use the HOHO bus for our sightseeing. We are staying at Hotel Regina at Plaza Catalunya right off the Las Ramblas. We are also staying two extra nights on the back end of the trip at the same hotel, and we plan a train ride out to the monestary.

My huband leaves for two weeks in Bavaria on Friday, and it's KILLING ME to not go with him. But, he will be working long hours, so that's why we decided on this trip for the two of us to enjoy! And, I've spent my fair share of $$ in Germany on past trips! But, still........I hate missing any opportunity to visit Europe. If only my company would let me leave without pay!!

Can't wait to meet everyone and enjoy this fabulous cruise!

Are you going to Montserrat? I just went there last week, it is amazing. Wear very comfortable shoes, lots of uphill walking and if you go hiking some of it is dirt and rock trails no cement. But, it is beautiful, I took 350 pictures in one day up there.

Ok, so I'm trying to do a little trip planning today...

For those wanting to go "deeper" into Rome...here's a neat link to the necropolis under St. Peter's Basilica. The tomb of St. Peter is said to lie here.

If you want to see it first hand, you'll need to send an email requesting permission to visit in advance as they only allow 200-250 visitors per day. The cost is 12 Euro per person. We just got our confirmation.

Got it. I also have K8e and peterpanstout but haven't sent official updates to the concierge yet until a couple more days. She wants to to send them in bulk to keep up with them. Jeff, next week I will send you a PM with the boardnames and numbers to add to the web site for everyone.

I was off a half day yesterday and met with the TA. We are looking at a five hour layover in Atlanta before flying to Barcelona and I am pretty sure that will be miserable with a seven and nine year old. We were thinking of buying passes to the Crown Room (or whatever its called for Delta). Has anyone been there, done that? Is it worth the expense (I have no idea what it costs). Is it suitable for kids?

We started working on our fish extender today!!! Going to make it from scratch and by that I mean... my wife is going to make it by scratch
I finally got part of my fish extender gifts in. I suppose we will get a number next week when the sign up closes.
