Not exactly sure why...but I've been so close to tears for most of the day.

DH isn't here to hug me. He has guards (regular drill) this weekend. Seems like they've called him in every weekend lately...in addition to his regular weekly days off.

Don't know if this is why....but he just hasn't been around. And when we do make any plans....they always seem to have to be cancelled.

Last night I was so excited after making hotel reservations for RiddleCon - Cedar Point. Today, all excitement is gone. I'm expecting he'll come home & tell me something like he can't get the time off in August. Trying not to get excited --- so I won't get disappointed again.

I should be happy & glad he's even home. So many of his friends (in other units) have already been deployed. I guess I don't make a good military wife. :( Too selfish, I guess.

:(

{{{HUGS}}} sweetie. These are scary times, especially for those who have loved ones in the military.

Hope the day gets easier for you.

{{{{{HUGE HUGS!}}}}}

Being a military wife/husband is not easy for anyone. You have unique challenges that a lot of other people do not understand.

I always felt my most important role as a Navy wife was to never let DH see me crying on the pier. He had a very dangerous job to do and a lot of shipmates whose lives were in his hands and vice versa. I did not want DH to be worried about things at home and not have his mind on what he was doing putting his life and the lives of other in danger. That does not mean that I did not cry my eyes out when he wasn’t around! I did!

Are there any military spouse support groups in your area? Maybe you could start one if there is not? It really helps to have someone close by who is going through the same thing.

{{{hugs}}} It's tough times right now.

My future son-in-law is with the INS up on the Canadian border and they have been working LONG hours and it's been stressful with all the stuff going on. They are supposed to go on vacation next week, but they don't know if it's going to happen or not.

{{{{HUGS}}}} for you Splsh! I hope that thigs work out for you and that you feel better soon. I have days when I feel like that and don't know why too.

Consider yourself hugged!

I am sending you a great big hug as well.

{ { H U G S } }

We all get days now and then when we don't know why we feel this way. I hope you feel better soon.

Awwww. :( I'm sure thats at least part of what is making you feel down. {{{Hugs}}}

I hope you all can make it to Riddle Con. That will help put a smile back on your face. :)

A big hug for you, Joanne. You have a lot on your plate and sometimes, even with less, we ALL feel as you do now. Anytime you feel the need, make sure to ask, just like now. Again. a big {hug} for you.

Blondie - that is great! Where did you find that at?

{{HUGS}} hon. my cousins husband is in the national guard full time. they had a family support unit. she was the president. about 8 months after they got married he was sent to Honduras. they were a big help to her then. check into it. the other wives will be able to listen in a way that non-military wives just dont understand. {{HUGS}} some more. i hope you BOTH get to go to riddlecon.

Here's a BIG {HUG} for you Joanne. It's not that you don't make a good military wife. I think it's more that we didn't expect something like this to be going on in our day and age. Everything has been so good for us and hasn't really hit home up to this point.

Sorry your down, hope all the hugs help.
