Whats with the lime green ribbons? Does it mean something? Or is it just a way for all DIS'ers to know each other at disney?

From what I have been told its a way to identify ourselves to each other...If you have read some of the other posts on the resorts board, you will see that some people are not wearing them in WDW. ,
For what its worth...if anyone wants...i did get some really cool green ribbons from home depot. if you PM me i will be happy to mail them out to anyone.

Tinks--Thanks for the May 24-31 hours. We've got a group of 9 going as well as other friends, all staying at POFQ. Let the planning begin. I know Sunday the 25th will be a busy day at MK but I'm thinking off doing the EE that day and staying until noonish and then monorailing to Epcot for the remainder. We usually do parks the day after EE at rope drop which would put us at Studios but DD wants to start at MK because the two previous trips started with Studios and she'd like a change in routine..

I'm simply amazed that there is no Spectromagic at all in May. In our numerous trips, I think we've only caught it once. Do you think it's being rehabbed, or is it going away? Diana

I'm sorry but those park hours for May just suck.

7:00 pm closing for the Magic Kingdom is ridiculous, if attendance is that bad, reducing
park hours and limiting the Spectro parade (or not
showing it at all) is NOT the way to entice tourists to spend their money at Disney.

We're going in July/August, and if things don't
drastically change for the better, my vacation
dollars are going elsewhere.

I'm with you MUDHEN - DH and I going first week of May and extremely disappointed with Disney. 7 pm as a close for MK and in addition, there are no e-ride nights until the end of May. I have heard (from these posts) that the attendance has been pretty good so I'd like to hear what excuse they are using to get away with treating loyal customers this way. I sent an e-mail to Disney (as did many others on another post "Early May Park Hours") and I informed Disney that perhaps they should take a look at these posts on this forum and other Disney-related forums b/c people are not happy. We'll see what response we get. . .

Well, for what its worth - I'm not happy with the MK hours either.

But, I can understand closing MK early for Grad Night and don't have a problem with it.

However, why don't they alternate park hours between MK and the studios - the studios are open til 830/900 during the first two weeks of May i.e. have the studios open til 9 on Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon and MK open til 7 and then on Tues, Wed, Thurs have MK open til 9 with fireworks/spectro and the studios close early at 6 or 7.

At least that way everyone gets to enjoy their favorite park in the evening which ever it may be - and if they can't do that - throw in an Enight or two each week at the MK.

At least that is a compromise and seems to be a win win situation.
