First let me say I hate this war. I hate people have to lose their lives over something that is personal.

I can't say I know how you feel or what your going thru. I do know as parents we worry constantly and not knowing is like carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders.

I just wanted to let you know you and your family members are in my prayers. I pray they return home safely. I pray that God keep his holy angels all around them each second of their lives. I pray that this war is dissolved and all will return home safely.

I must add though that I do not agree with your assertion that they may lose their lives for something that is personal. I do not believe this war is ongoing for personal reasons.

Keli we don't have to agree why this war was started. This is somewhat a free country where we are entitled to believe and think what we want to. That said my prayers are still with the families.

This war is personal to me.... I personally find Saddam Hussein an evil like Hitler.... I personally have cried as I see the Iraqi citizens hugging and kissing our soldiers... I personally think the world will be safer for YOU, me, and EVERYONE else when Saddam sits at the knee of Satan in hell where he belongs. Yep it's personal alright.

What is funny, is I don't see any of them complaining. They see it is their job, and accept it. God bless them and their families.

Now as far as everyone else who disagree with me as I said before we are allowed to feel and think whichever way we choose to do so.

I am not here to persuade you that war is bad, I only stated how I feel about war and Bush. I think both are wrong.

People who seem to have a thirst for death and blood shed may think it's ok to kill innocent people just to get to SH. Since I don't have that GI JOe kill kill mentality, it bothers me to see people lose their lives over something that I think could have been prevented.

It's easy for a person to say they are for war when their families are safe and sound at home.
For the families who already lost love ones, I'm sure they wish they had their son,daughter,husband,wife,sister,brother, mother or father here with them.

I'm thinking for myself. IF YOU find that statement hit home with you than thats your problem.
I didn't label anyone here, but then I do know it's common for people to turn something around, point fingers and jump to conclusions easily.

GLO, as I stated before I did not label anyone here. I was speaking in general. People are going to interpret things wrong or right regardless of what is said.

Even though I support our troops, I still hate this war and what Bush is doing.

I have a nephew that is NOT safe and sound at home. He is in Kuwait fighting in this war. We miss him and think about him everyday. I wish it did not come to war BUT it has. I am not into war and violence but I am glad our President has stood his ground. As I have seen Iraqi people surrender and help tear down pictures of Saddam, I think the Iraqi people are gld our President has chosen to force Saddam's hand too.

And people who think we should leave SH in power because innocents MAY die....(if he is left in power 60,000 children under the age of 5 WILL die this year)........ have no credibility in my eyes.

Sorry you lost me with this sentiment. I know soldiers who are over there and some who are still in the US and want to be over there. They do not have a "GI Joe kill kill mentality." They have a deep abiding love for their country and truly believe that this war is in defense of this country. They don't want to see innocents get hurt, in fact, they feel that innocents will be saved in the long run. I pray for our troops over there, in other parts of the world, and here in the US every day.
