May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

I had such a long, full weekend! Lots of outdoor activities I'm happy to say, not a lot of scheduled exercise but I was on the move non-stop.

Today I did the 30 day shred, level two.

New total:

This may sound ridiculous, but I did it power walking so I'm counting my grocery shopping adventures today. I'm only counting it as 30 minutes even though I probably spent more like 60 in the 3 different stores. That's also not counting all the bending and moving I did to put 3 grocery stores worth of groceries away when I got home. Also, 30 minutes I forgot earlier in the week bringing me to 200/900 minutes. Thanks Cam!

IMHO, that is not ridiculous at all - grocery shopping is an exercise of the body and brain, all at the same time! Especially when you forget stuff like I do and have to retrace your steps again - blek!

75 minutes today. 30 on the elliptical, 10 on the bike and 35 C25K. C25K was was so hard today! We had 2 three minute jugs and 2 five minute jogs.
I need to bump up my goal otherwise I will hit 100% by the end of the week! I'm going for 1400 minutes.

Congratulations on the C2K. It IS hard! To be honest, I kinda gave up, especially as the weather has gotten hotter. Now, when I 'run' [more like walking in a very animated fashion and while sweating profusely], I do one minute intervals of running then walking. I'm thinking of starting back once the weather gets cooler. Keep up the great work!
 
My previous total, through May 2, was 194/2000.

I got back from a wonderful trip to WDW over a week ago and spent last week just trying to acclimate myself to reality. *sigh* I'd rather be back at WDW - oh well...

So here goes my long overdue exercise update:

May 4-11 at WDW -- 800 total mins, including a very fun EEC and a jog around the Boardwalk one morning [meant to go more but was too pooped]
May 14 - 120 mins power walking
May 16 - 52 min run/ 41 min power walking with pup
May 17 - 39 min power walking with pup/ 45 min yardwork
May 18 - 47 min run [until I fell face first into the dust - everything except pride was thankfully unhurt]; 21 mins power walking with pup
May 19 - 53 min power walk
May 20 - 119 min power walk; 31 min power walk with pup

This adds up to 1368, bringing my current total to 1562/2000.

I haven't caught up completely with the thread but 39 participants - wow! Good job everyone - y'all are inspiring me!!!!
 

I did 60 minutes WATP today.

Took Friday off as a planned rest day
Sat 5/19 - 55min (AM: 20 tai chi; PM: 13 core, 12 arms, 10 yoga stretch)
Sun 5/20 - 50 min walk
Mon - unplanned rest day :( allergies are awful today (sneezing all day) & its inducing my asthma, just by walking around the house tonight.
Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

Had to rest yesterday because Jillian shredded my quads. :(
 
Walked 60 minutes yesterday at work.

410/1200...don't think I'm going to make my goal this month. Maybe next month!

Last night:
40 minutes bike
60 minutes deep water aerobics

Today:
20 minutes walking (to and from courthouse in heels with a briefcase ;) )

That brings my total to 1425. I've decided to bump my goal from 1500 to 1800 since there are still plenty of days in the month. Reaching my goal by the end of my personal training session tomorrow morning would be no fun. :goodvibes:
 
I'm back from a long weekend trip to VA to celebrate DGD's 5th birthday. I did some walking while there, but not much. So much going on! Glad to see most everyone keeping up the work!

5/20 - 30 mins

i haven't updated, but i have been doing my minutes.

5/17 - 8.3 mile bike ride - 45 minutes
5/20 - 8.5 mile bike ride - 47 minutes
5/21 - 11.4 mile bike ride - 64 minutes

My personal trainer totally kicked my butt this morning. He had me doing a series of 6 exercises where you go from one to the next really quickly, taking a break only after you do all 6. :scared1: I did 5 sets of the following sequence:
jumping jacks
squats
pushups
Y squats
mountain climbing (on the floor on disks)
30 seconds jogging

Edited to add: forgot we did ab work on the balance ball, too, including 20 crunches with arms extended and a "lurch up" at the end. Today, I realized why my abs are tender. LOL!

Then we did weight assisted pull ups and dips, lots of free weight arm work and then 5 10-second planks. :faint:

Before and after my time with him, I did elliptical and bike. I am totally wiped out and need a nap. :rotfl:

With this morning's workout, I am at 1515 minutes.
 
Did another big running improvement last night. It was tough but I dug in. Also did a walk at work with my walking buddy! 60 min in yesterday.
