May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

Wow! Great job, Cam! :thumbsup2 You are inspiring me to pick up the pace.

I think I have everyone updated to here. Great job!! :woohoo: Keep moving, everyone!!

Today and tomorrow will kick up my total to date by a lot since I intend to row tonight and then to bike for at least an hour while I read my new Bob Harper book that arrived from Amazon today - "The Skinny Rules". Tomorrow morning I work out with my personal trainer and then tomorrow night is my deep water aerobics class. I think I'll have over 200 more minutes by tomorrow night. I may end up bumping up my goal a bit more. :)

TRX is tough!! Did he ask you to do the push ups with your feet in the handles? :scared1: Good Lord! I asked my trainer "Who invented this stuff??" :rotfl:

I had a good workout this morning but am really hating my personal trainer right now. In a very loving, appreciative way of course! LOL! OMG! He trained me on the TRX apparatus and when I tell you I worked my butt off, I am not exaggerating. That is so much harder than it looks, especially if you have someone to guide you on good form so that you are really working the right muscle groups. I literally feel the workout in every bit of my body. I am going to be so hurting for a couple days. I hope my deepwater aerobics class tonight will relieve some of the muscle soreness.

Last night:
30 minutes rowing
30 minutes bike (while reading Bob Harper's "The Skinny Rules" - love it!)

This morning:
10 minutes rowing
45 minutes TRX and core
35 minutes elliptical

Additional minutes for last night through now = 150, bringing my total to 1015.

Hello all!! Went to the gym this morning and did 65 minutes on the elliptical. I had planned to then go work on the weight machines but I was literally dripping by the time I was done so I came home and showered instead! oops! haha!! But I think I JUST hit my half way point, so I'm happy ;)

Thanks!!

Great job, and congrats on being PURPLE!

Wow! Great job, Cam! :thumbsup2 You are inspiring me to pick up the pace.

That is really sweet. Thank you. I am sincerely flattered. I am really trying to shake things up a bit and truly challenge myself. I'd definitely fallen into a workout "rut" doing elliptical 4 or 5x/week, bike once in a while, and deepwater aerobics 1 or 2 nights. I can tell my body is liking the increased intensity and the variety of the workouts.

TRX is tough!! Did he ask you to do the push ups with your feet in the handles? :scared1: Good Lord! I asked my trainer "Who invented this stuff??" :rotfl:

You know, I worried the whole time that he was going to ask me to do that and I'd end up hurting my knee. Fortunately, he didn't have me try it, and I am hoping that he won't for a while. We are doing all sorts of leg and core and upper body and arm stuff, so I am hoping that is enough to keep him happy for a while. :rotfl:

I am completely intimidated about trying anything with my knee completely extended until we really strengthen the quad and hamstring and lower leg muscles to support the knee from top and bottom. Fortunately, this guy has lots of clients rehabilitating injuries and is very conscientious about how my knee is feeling through the workouts. :cloud9:

Ugh- I signed up, got sick, kids got sick, lost my motivation and am no where near being able to hit my goal for the month. RATS! I was back to the gym though, and hopefully I will be able to push through the rest of the month. I spent 50 minutes on the treadmill today and I feel better than I have all month!!

From the looks of it, the rest of you are doing great! Keep it up!

Only 30 minutes today. I did C25K. I did it alone since DH has to workout after work with the Navy today. I know his workout is going to be kinda hard today and he wasn't sure when he was going to get home so I just went this morning. I really missed having someone to jog with! I'll be on my own again on Friday. It wasn't too bad today. Same workout as Monday. I almost rolled my ankle walking because I wan't paying attention. :sad2:

I forgot to report yesterday, oops!
Yesterday I did 30 minutes, the 30 Day Shred level two.

Today I took a day off from the shred as my wrists are absolutely killing me! I can't wash dishes or brush my hair or anything involving wrist movement. Too much plank pose! Bah, I'll just have to suck it up tomorrow.

40 minutes on the recumbent bike
10 minutes on the Gazelle glider
50 minutes of yoga

Hey, that happens to all of us at times, so don't let it discourage you. The fact that you're making the most of the rest of the month says a lot. Go for it! And take good care of yourself!:flower3:

This morning I did 45 minutes on the wt machines and 50 minutes cardio. The bad news is, I gained 7 pounds!!!!:faint: I know I said I don't weigh myself, but I was feeling really fat and decided to see where I stood. This is why I don't weigh very often because it makes me so frustrated to be going backward. :sad2: But this time I'm NOT going to let it get me down. I'm doing the work, I'm watching what I eat for the most part and it is what it is. I won't stop working hard or give up. Not this time! I've got you guys to help get me through it, so I'm good to go!:thumbsup2
