May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

40 minutes walking on Saturday.
30 minutes elliptical this morning.
35 minutes C25K this afternoon.

Today was W3D1. Today's session was the 5 minute warm up walk then a 90 second jog, 90 second walk, 3 minute jog, 3 minute walk, repeat finishing with the 5 minute cool down walk. I was nervous about today. It's been about a year since I have jogged/ran. My last 6 months in the military I was on a running waver.
Well, I shocked myself with how well today went! At first I had the sound down on my phone so we didn't hear it tell us to start the first jog, I quickly turning it up and restarted the timer. The first three minute jog was like nothing to me but I don't think my DH relised we were going for 3 minutes and asked if the sound was off again. I checked and nope, we only had 15 seconds left! :cool1:
The last 3 minute jog was a little harder. I checked the time and we still had 1:07 to go! :( But as it always happens, it was over before I knew it.

Bring me to
510/1000 :hyper:

Walks on the beach this weekend, not as intense as "regular" exercise but it counts for something, right???

Unfortunately I also ate two bowls of ice cream every day... :(

I just wanted to agree with you about Level 2 of 30DS!! Holy Cow, it is a killer!! haha!! I've only done it twice so far, but am so proud after finishing. Good luck!
Did you find it hard on the wrists? That's the worst part for me! LOL!

Today I got caught up a little. I felt really good so I kept going.

30 minutes: 30DS level 2, day 2. As I mentioned above, I like that it's an intense workout, but I'm finding it hard on my wrists! Lots of plank type exercises.
30 minutes: Recumbent bike
20 minutes: Gazelle glider

New total:

665/1400

Another good day

25 minutes of running (2.1 miles)
45 minutes of taekwondo

Total for month: 749/1600

I should pass 50% with my run tomorrow morning.

Ended up taking 3 days off last week, just not feeling great, plus sore from yard work last weekend.

5/8 - 0
5/9 - 56 - sculpt & legs
5/10 - 0
5/11 - 0
5/12 - 35 - abs/core, arms, yoga stretch
5/13 - 70- walk, then stretch
5/13 - 60 - yardwork, (several hours each day, but counting 10 min for each wheelbarrel of mulch I loaded, hauled across the yard, and spread - my triceps are feeling it still! And after two weekends work, I am only halfway through that mulch :worried:)
5/14 - 39 - cardio w/sculpt

New total - 513/1200

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Its so interesting to hear what everyone is doing!

Everyone's doing a great job! Keep it up!:cheer2:

Did 40 minutes wt machines and 40 minutes cardio. It's getting nicer here, so I'll be adding an evening walk pretty soon. Maybe. :lmao:

I think I have everyone updated to here. Great job!! :woohoo: Keep moving, everyone!!

Today and tomorrow will kick up my total to date by a lot since I intend to row tonight and then to bike for at least an hour while I read my new Bob Harper book that arrived from Amazon today - "The Skinny Rules". Tomorrow morning I work out with my personal trainer and then tomorrow night is my deep water aerobics class. I think I'll have over 200 more minutes by tomorrow night. I may end up bumping up my goal a bit more. :)

60 more for me today.
20 on the elliptical, 22 minutes strength training on Wii Fit, 18 minutes yoga on Wii Fit.

It's true what they say about exercise being addictive!!

570/1000

93 minutes for me today I did about 5.5 miles. I walk/run trying to train for the ToT10K at the end of Sept.
Gosh, I'm soooo sloww. I'm trying to be patient with myself.

966/1200

Tonight I did 45 minutes at the track, walking a lap, jogging a lap. I used to not be able to jog even one time, so I'm improving!! Who knew seeing my number go up on here would be so inspiring? I'm within reach of my halfway point and tomorrow I'm going to make it a point to make it!! Exciting!!

450/1200 5 minutes of crunches and 50 minutes of elliptical

Finally got back on the elliptical! I will probably come close to completing all of my time during the Relay for Life! I walk for an hour or two at a time. Hoping to get in another 50 minutes on the elliptical sometime tomorrow.

It's Ashleigh's 12th birthday so I'll have to watch out on my food tomorrow!

For me I did in total 70 minutes of cleaning in the garage, really worked up a sweat, hope that counts as exercise.

Squeezed a C25K session in just before DS' baseball game! 300/800

Thanks!

I just found this thread and would like to get in on it too. Since we are half way through the mouth I will set my goal at half.

600

Great job, everyone!

-----------------

I had a good workout this morning but am really hating my personal trainer right now. In a very loving, appreciative way of course! LOL! OMG! He trained me on the TRX apparatus and when I tell you I worked my butt off, I am not exaggerating. That is so much harder than it looks, especially if you have someone to guide you on good form so that you are really working the right muscle groups. I literally feel the workout in every bit of my body. I am going to be so hurting for a couple days. I hope my deepwater aerobics class tonight will relieve some of the muscle soreness.

Last night:
30 minutes rowing
30 minutes bike (while reading Bob Harper's "The Skinny Rules" - love it!)

This morning:
10 minutes rowing
45 minutes TRX and core
35 minutes elliptical

Additional minutes for last night through now = 150, bringing my total to 1015.

Hello all!! Went to the gym this morning and did 65 minutes on the elliptical. I had planned to then go work on the weight machines but I was literally dripping by the time I was done so I came home and showered instead! oops! haha!! But I think I JUST hit my half way point, so I'm happy ;)

552/1100

Thanks!!
