May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

It has been a busy start to the month, but I am logging in for 120/800 so far.

May 10 - 26 minutes strength and abs
10 minutes Bob Harper Ripped Core Quick Bonus

Nursing a sprained foot. Watch out for those cheap $2 flip flops. Mine all went to the trash after the left one I was wearing broke and sent me flailing down the garage steps. The doc at urgent care told me to take it easy until the weekend so hopefully I'll be back to running on Sunday.

ok I'm really gonna have to start moving if I'm ever gonna make it so heading out for a walk in the rain ugh. BBL to log those minutes in:)

You never realize how much you need your big toe until you injure it. ;) I almost fell on some uneven pavers last night and ended up hyperextending my right big toe. Wow, does it hurt! Since I am hoping to do a long walk tomorrow morning, I am babying it today. I did 20 minutes on the stationary rower and 45 on the bike this morning, bringing my total to 715.

I'll be back later to update everyone's totals & colors! :grouphug:

Cam, I hope your big toe starts to feel better soon. :)

I'm adding 75 minutes...two nights ago, I did 15 minutes on the eliptical machine and last night I did 60 minutes of run/walk on the treadmill. Woo who!!! This brings my total to

205/1200

350/1200 elliptical and my crunches

Waiting for my parents to arrive so I did one last hurrah on the elliptical! Hoping the weather is ok in the morning so I can go out for a walk!

TTFN :tigger:

I read this as "crutches" at first!:rotfl2: I thought, Wow, doing an elliptical on crutches is real dedication.::yes::

Woot! Thanks for hosting us again, Cam! :thumbsup2

I have a very busy month in May but I'm going to put myself down for 1,200 because I'm pushing myself to 100% run a 5K in June on the night before my 50th birthday. :cake:

This is what I have so far:

5/5 127 minutes - :cool1: Expedition Everest 5K & Scavenger Hunt (net time)
5/10 70 minutes - strength and cardio

Just so happens that DH and I will be in WDW over the Tower of Terror 10-Miler weekend. The 10-Miler is full - plus, I was worried about running a longer race after being in the parks for 5 days beforehand - so I signed up for the 5k Haunted Fun Run in the morning and got tickets to the Villians Bash for me and DH! :woohoo:

Oh my gosh, the Haunted Fun Run sounds...well...FUN! As does the Villians Bash! When is it held? You find the best ways to stay in shape!

Oh, OUCH! I know it's hard not to, but try not to push yourself too hard. Hope you're up and at it soon!:goodvibes

Isn't that the truth. Sounds miserable. Hope you're feeling better soon, fearless leader!::yes::

As for me, I did 35 minutes wt. machines and 45 cardio adding 80 to my total.

460/1200

Sorry to hear about your toe, Cam ... hope you are feeling better soon!

05/11 - 45 minutes treadmill :cool1:

May Total: 325/600

The plan is to go hiking at the local state park tomorrow. We'll see if the plan actually comes to fruition

Early Happy Mother's Day to all of you ... I probably won't be back to log minutes again until Monday. :flower3:

For 5/10 - DH and I did a bike ride, and he headed home before I did!
40 minutes/ 7 miles!

380/875 for the month.

Hoping to hit 8 miles tonight...we'll see if the weather cooperates.

Hello everyone! Today we did another 40 minutes on what I am now referring to as the "trail of death"...It's so hard. :( But I feel proud to finish!!

382/1100

Thanks! Lynda

30 today. C25K W2D3. We've finished two weeks!
I didn't look at the timer at all today! I was only tempted to look once, on the last jog. I'm really surprised at how much I am loving the whole process.

405/1000

Just got home from being in the hospital, so I have some time to make up. Doing ok. Just need to get busy with the exercise.

My house is needing some love and attention, but I did get 110 mins at the gym today! (Running, stairs, leg weight machines, core and elliptical)

I just can't seem to get it all in with work (part time), my kids' schedules, housework and time for myself. Soemthing's got to give and right now it's my house. DH is ok with it because he's glad I'm finally working out for myself. Everything always comes before me, but I'm trying to change that!

I love reading everyone's updates daily :)

ETA: I forgot to tally my minutes: was at 444, add 110 mins. from today, new total:
554/1200

Quoting my post because I forgot to tally the minutes.
I did another 34 minutes last night with a walk after dinner, it was so beautiful!

Today: Gym again~ 120 minutes. 2 mile run, stairs, abs/core, upper body weights and elliptical. I'm really sore tonight :)

709/1200

Dismom55, I hope all is ok for you!

33 minutes of running
45 minutes of taekwondo

Total for month: 567/1600

I had a busy couple of days, spring cleaning my house! lol.

May 10 - 30 minutes (30 Day Shred) -- that's all I had time for! I gutted my whole bedroom and scrubbed everything so I was still working pretty hard.
May 11 - 30 Day Shred (Last day on level 1!)
--- 10 minute walk - VERY slow. I took both dogs and one is just recovering from knee surgery about a month and a half ago. As per vet's orders we're starting some slow, short leash walks now! Can't wait until I can take them both like I used to!
--- 30 minutes Wii Fit free step.

Yesterday was only the second day so far this month that I weighed myself and was a little bit up. I was pretty disappointed by that, the other day was when I got back from my weekend away. So I'm going to have to work a little harder!

New total:

540/1400

Dismom-- I hope you are okay.

Great range of activities here, everyone! Just keep sweating!

This morning I was at the y for an hour and forty minutes. Here are my net workout minutes:
20 rowing
25 bike
30 weight machines

New total: 790

90 minute easy hike with DH and DD.

Uh-oh, I'm running behind. Going to have to push it over the next week or so, but I've been super busy trying to get caught up at work. I'm almost ready to take another vacation!

Cam - the Haunted Fun Run is the morning of the ToT 10-Miler. It's run over at the ESPN Sports complex. Thank goodness it starts early because that place is HOT with all that concrete.

I almost wish I had signed up for the 10-Miler, even though I don't think I'd be quite ready. The medal is super cool! :thumbsup2
