May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

May 6 - 70 minutes on the Gazelle.

Great job, everyone! Happy Monday! Keep moving. :cool1:

I am looking forward to my deepwater aerobics class tonight since I didn't get to either session last week. Wednesday morning will be my first workout with a personal trainer in 2 years. On the one hand, I'm hoping he will kick my butt. On the other hand, I'm feeling so old and achy today that I am already dreading getting up early for that workout. Ugh!

320/1100

Half marathon (and hours of walking to and from) counted as 240, then I did 30 day shred 2 times last week. Oh, and I went on a 20 min walk through the neighborhood the evening after the half to keep loose. I'm looking forward to another walk tonight.

Working out might be put off for a few days - I have a wicked sunburn on my shoulders from the half marathon. It hurts to raise my arms because the skin on my shoulders gets all bunchy. I WILL be investing in some good athletic sunblock tonight that won't sweat off like the stuff I put on on Saturday.

05/07 - 10 minutes kettlebell :upsidedow

May Total: 160/600

No treadmill for me today. Worked in the yard all weekend long, weeding and trimming trees and bushes. If I counted all that time, I definitely would blow my total minutes out for this month. :p

Have a great week, everyone! :yay:

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm back to my workouts, so I added 40 minutes wt machines and 40 minutes cardio this morning. Love being back in the groove!

Cam, if you're feeling old, I must be ancient!:rotfl: (and some days I FEEL it!)

225/1200

Would love to join with 1200 mins:dance3:

:welcome: Be sure to figure out and post any minutes you may have already exercised in May.

Congrats on your half-marathon! :thumbsup2 Which one did you do? Sorry about the sunburn.

Kettlebells look so intriguing! I don't know if our Y has them yet. I'll have to look around.

Nice going. LOL! Had to laugh about the age thing. I've noticed that I'm older than most people here, so chances are I am older than you. If what they say is true and you really are only as old as you feel, today I may be about 70. Or maybe 72 ;)

walked 40 minutes today-which sounds great except it was to the pub for lunch:rotfl: Still I'd have eaten anyway so at least I earned it:rotfl2:

Congrats on your half-marathon! :thumbsup2 Which one did you do? Sorry about the sunburn.

THANKS!!! It was my 3rd half marathon. :goodvibes I did the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini Marathon - the country's largest half marathon. I did it with 34,999 of my closest friends! ;) The course is "To the Track & back!" which means the start and finish are in downtown Indianapolis, and it goes out to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the Indy 500 is run at the end of the month, and back to downtown. The middle point is a 2.5 loop ON the racetrack, and you can stop to "kiss the bricks," which is the yard of bricks that's the finishline for the Indy 500.

It's a nice flat course, but man, I was not prepared for that sun! Going out to get a Mission Enduracool towel to put on my burn (cool product, google it!) and Mission Skincare sunscreen today!!!

DO! I love them. Usually I do 20 minutes, 3 days a week but have been slacking lately with all the yardwork and being so sore already. :scared:

Been doing lots of walking with the puppy. My update for this week 180/1000.

Staying on track so far!!

60 min. of walk/jog (back in the car seconds before the rain started too!!) and squats today.

182/1100

I took my dog for an hour long walk this morning and then did the 30DS this afternoon. I learned that I should be doing the 30DS FIRST! Hahaha, after walking up the hills around my house, my legs were a little weak for the shred, but I got through it!

New total:

360/1400

Took yesterday off and it was nice.
35 minutes today. C25K W2D1.
Today was just ok. It's so hot here. 91 right now. I am making sure to stay hydrated though. Today was 6 90 second jogs with 2 minutes walk in-between. A great step from last week and I was really looking forward to today. The first jog SUCKED, the next three were pretty good and the last two were no fun at all. lol After the first jog I was worried but I felt better right away. But I know Wednesday will be much better!

So I'm right on track for the month

250/1000:cool1:

Walked 30 minutes at the office tonight. Completed 17 laps. Woo who. Brings me to

We have friends in Indianapolis and do this race, they love it! Congratulations!
