May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

Hi -

I'd like to join this month. Please put me down for 1200 minutes.

Just got back from a 3-mile walk, so I'm already at 50/1200. :cool1:

50/1200 did 40 on the elliptical and I've done about 10 minutes of ab work today!

Howdy. My goal for this month is going to be 1000. I was so close last month. Hopefully I'll blow this month out of the water. :)

I went for an evening walk around the apartment complex and the pools looked so tempting I had to hop in for a few quick laps. :)
 
I squeezed in a quickie 13 minute walk this morning before work, then walked to/from work. It's not anywhere near my usual, but it is certainly a start!

I have to weigh in every week for a competition I'm in and I gained 1/2lb. It's the first time in 10 weeks I've had a gain and I'm pretty disappointed BUT it's motivation to work harder this week. I only have a couple weeks to go so if anyone has any tips on how I can lose as much as possible before my final weigh-in (yes, overall I'm doing this healthy, but I have a shot at placing) let me know! :wizard:

Good luck on your competition! I have two friends who have recently won biggest loser competitions. One got cash ($10 per participant) and an entire year of health insurance premiums paid. I'd love to hear more about the one you are in.

Jilian Michales kicked my butt again this morning! Day 2 of the 30 DS. I lost 1.1lbs since yesterday! :woohoo:

I am going away this weekend on a mini trip and just found out our hotel has a fitness center and indoor pool :thumbsup2 I am hoping to be a good girl while I'm away!
 
I decided to push my goal up to 1500. I hit 1200 too easily last month and I figure that, being my competitive self, if I set it too low, it's not really a challenge. So, I am very intimidated by the 1500 number, but am hoping it will really push me to work out more.

My half-marathon training plan starts on May 27 and I am determined to start the training program much stronger than I am now. I also started the process to work with a personal trainer and am waiting to hear back about the suggested PT's availability to take on a new client. Oh, and I also asked at the Y about whether there is a nutritionist on-staff. Trying to attack these last 45-50 pounds from all angles.

I am unhappy that I missed my deepwater aerobics class Monday night to take my husband to pick up his new car and I am missing it again tonight for a Special Olympics meeting. So, I dragged myself out of bed and went to the gym and did 60 minutes on the elliptical. :) I need to get back into the routine of morning workouts in addition to the 2 nights/week of time in the water (better for my knee).

I am now at 60/1500.
