May day weekend

Just wondering if anyones been on mayday weekend before (29th-1st May). What were the crowds like, and if the hotels were busy?

French schools are not off and Mayday in the UK is 5th May so you may be lucky and parks not to busy

Matt I think that 1st May is a bank holiday for France too
Labour Day or Fête du premier mai, so I would say expect "busy".
