May crowds

We have been here since Saturday. Schools across the South end 3rd Friday of May. Many folks went to Disney. There are also many non English speaking people here as well.

It's been crowded. Busier than I expected.Wait times of over an hour on popular rides. People in every park.

We've done everything we've wanted with Fast Passes, flexibility and patience.

Ds met up with some friends who are cast members in the college program. They said this is the first busy week they've seen for the summer. And definitely agree it's busy! Evening magic hours haven't thinned the crowds that much and lots of families with small children in the A.M. magic hours.

Got home today and had been there since 17th. It's been busier this week but manageable. We got everything done, sometimes twice.

We've been pretty much every part of May right up to the Friday before Memorial Day. And that is the day the crowds seem to get busy. Aside from that it's low to average crowd levels.

We were there May 22-28 and were able to do everything we wanted and more. Most days we had no issue make up to 6 fp+, granted they weren't always for headliners but they were for something we wanted to do or we didn't bother making them. There were definitely crowds, don't get me wrong, but it was very doable especially in the evenings. Our first evening on the 22nd we stayed in MK until 11 - after 10 pretty much everything was a 5-10 minute walk on except 7dmt. Our entire stay I think the most we waited for anything was 35 minutes and that was Everest when the kids wanted to ride it more than once.

Thanks everyone :) I actually just moved out trip forward a couple of weeks so that we'd hit the first week of May. Can't wait!

We've been 4 times during the last week of May/first of June and while the crowds are a little heavier than the first weeks of May, it is doable. Our last trip we couldn't go until after Memorial Day and we could tell a difference in the crowds getting larger each day. We plan to go again May 2017 weekend before Memorial Day through that week after MD and our first stay at the Polynesian! I'm so ready for our next trip. I'm a teacher, so we can't go until school is out.

We were there May 15-25. Crowds were gernerally heavy but not overwhelming except we found Studios to be particularly more problematic than usual with seemingly very large street crowds, but that was most likely due to a large portion of the park being closed due to the construction. Weather was somewhat hotter than usual for time of year but still not like you get June through part of Sep when even the evenings and nights are stifling, and we had a few consecutive days where thunderstorms were a real problem -- three or more in the afternoon and evening and each was a downpour that lasted an hour or more, much longer than usual.

Oh awesome! I love the Polynesian - you'll have a great time, I'm sure :)
