Short answer is Yes.

Going back to the OTUP you already bought on 2025, sounds like those are for a trip in your 2025 UY.

So if you were to buy another MMB for 2026, you’d be able to purchase another set of bogo OTUP for your 2026 UY (Dec 1, 2026 - Nov 30, 2027).

It doesn't matter what UY you're in when you buy the OTUP, it matters what UY the reservation falls in.

2025 CY MMB OTUP promo could have been used on 2024, 2025, and 2026 UY reservations.
2026 CY MMB OTUP promo can be used on 2025, 2026, and 2027 UY reservations.

I'm guessing your 2026 reservation falls between Jan and July since that's the current 7-month window. That would mean your 2025 CY MMB promo was used in your Dec 2025 UY. You can use the 2026 CY MMB program benefit in your Dec 2026 UY.

I have a two week Disney trip planned. It should cover photos taken for 30 straight days correct?

Yes.

I have had a long discussion with CM management about the OTUP and MMB ( I needed other help this was not the reason I spoke with them). Anyway MMB follows the calendar year EXCEPT OTUP. They follow your USE YEAR.

You can use 2025 OTUP for a reservation that is in 2026 as long as that reservation is using points from your 2025 UY. So you must buy those points in 2025.

Then you can purchase 2026 points BUT they follow your 2026 UY. All other MMB benefits end Dec 31, 2026.

One aspect of this that’s kind of funky is for a member who visits less than annually, like every 18-24 months for example. Like we bought 2025 MMB and purchased the bogo OTUP for April 2026 trip. Now if that was the only trip we took between 2025/2026, I’d need to pay another year of MMB to get any other benefits that trip. 2 years of MMB to cover one trip.

I’m very interested to see what is learned in the second year of MMB program.

Yes. Specifically, each photo remains in your account for 45 days after being taken. With the MMB benefit, you can download photos for 30 days beginning when you download the first one.

So your 2 week trip will be well covered.

Here is advice for future Dec UY plans I read on here: 7 months before December, call for purchase OTUP to book 1 weekday night at Vero in a 1 BR in early December (24 points). Then cancel that reservation. The OTUP will be ready for your whole use year then for 7 month bookings.

Another way to look at it is to ask yourself: Have I purchased ANY OTUP for the UY that I’m looking to purchase in now?

If no: ask yourself: is the reservation I want to use them for in 2025 or 2026 UY?

If in 2025 UY: hurry up and buy MMB OTUP before it’s too late to get the 2025 MMB benefits.

If in 2026 UY: hurry up and buy MMB OTUP before it’s too late to get 2025 MMB benefits.

If yes: ask yourself: did I already buy regular OTUP or 2025 MMB OTUP for 2025 UY or 2026 UY?

If yes in 2025 UY: You need to wait until we can buy 2026 MMB, and then get the 2026 MMB OTUP, but only for a reservation in your 2026 UY or 2027 UY.

If yes in 2026 UY: You can't get them again for 2026 UY, but when we can buy 2026 MMB you can still get the 2026 MMB OTUP for a reservation in your 2025 UY.

Just start with the UY of the trip and if you haven’t purchased OTU points for that UY, you can buy them.

If you have, then you aren’t eligible for more in that UY, no matter the price.

(I know technically from the thread that they are not supposed to be available for use until Jan. 1, but since Member Services is closed Jan. 1, for practical purposes you won't be able to book them until Jan. 2...but I am curious about whether this is consistent).
