Awoke around 8am, little more refreshed with the later hour sleeping in. I went out on the patio to smell the smoke from the fires. The landscaping they do at the hotel is very nice. DS is not stirring, his bed is covered with critters. DB gets up and comes out on the patio and we just stand and talk, catch up a bit. We then wake up DF and get ready for our shopping day. My DB told me he had to go back to tampa for a meeting, so we
load up his trunk with the gifts we have bought so far so he can ups them back to austin. Believe me, his car was full with our luggage.
So we go to IHop and he has a discount card which gives us an out of door $20 for breakfast. We then head to belz discount mall and go to both character outlets. They do not give a dc discount, and some of the prices are the same as on disney property. You just have to know what to look for. I did get a deal on a jacket. My son was able to go on the carousel, he pretty much had it to himself tuesday morning. We were in the vicinity of universal, my how has it grown since 1990. We go to dd and start in the marketplace. We refresh ourselves at Mickey D's and my buddy scoots to tampa. We are on our own. We do the shopping deal until about 8pm, it was not too crowded.
DF can not get over the size of this place. We get back to the hyatt by cab, it costs about $14.
We did eventually get caught up a little in the pin collecting, DF was on a hunt for a cogsworth pin, and one of the traders at world of disney was able to trade her one.
DS did a little shopping himself, finding a cute pooh bear hat, and going on the little train.
DF at this time found the goh tigger name tag that Jane's gift of a lifetime does not stock. They carry them at village traders, which has a child sand play area next to it.
It was nice and relaxing at dd, though when we left, DS showed his world famous attitude again, so I herded the screaming child through world of disney, with onlookers-he just can not get the idea that going to disney world is special. DF thinks he is too spoiled and should not go to disney next year. I think he is maybe a little too young to appreciate the value of taking a trip like this, of the material things he has in his life. I guess a part of it too is I try so hard to make him feel special to replace the fact that he was abandonded by his mother. I know what that feels like, being abandonded by a parent, in this case my father. So I try to show him love unconditionally and have a special relationship with him. DB calls us on the cell, he is on his way back from tampa, he is going to pick up some milk for DF. We just relax back at the hotel, so we can prepare for our next day. Originally I had planned to go to ak, but with the rain I decided on epcot. I checked, and it was not early entry for epcot on wednesdays, so we planned on being there all day.
