I'm making a list of things I need to remember to do at Guest Services when we board. So far I have,

1) Sign up for tastings
2) Drop off pictures to be signed along with the candy and Sharpies
3) add mom and dad to our cabana (didn't want to risk it online)
4) Add gift cards to our account (if there are any left after WDW - ha!)

I have got to be missing something. What am I missing???

Oh, and an update on my illness - I have strep! I went yesterday, so I should be totally fine by the time we leave Sunday morning. I don't feel sick anymore, it's just the sore throat. My hubby woke up with a sore throat this morning too, so he's got a call into the doc for some antibiotics for himself. Just need to keep the little guy well! His birthday party is Saturday. Please, oh please...

I KNOW! Crazy! We are on lunch right now and it looks like we'll be done this afternoon-- so not noon but it will be today! Hooray!

I have got to stop spending MONEY! This cruise can't come fast enough because I have been buying everything under the sun. Then I'll find something I like better and back to the store I go to return what I bought the day before. Honestly none of the stuff I'm buying is anything I absolutely need. Here's my list of things I need... bag of candy for signitures, colored sharpies, swimming trunks for Kane. Here's what I bought today.... clearance jeans in next years size for Maya, white skirt for me, white capri's for me and 2 cami's. WTH!!! NO MORE!
Tomorrow I will obey my new rules!

I want to get a mani/pedi for Maya & me before we leave. I've never had a pedi before. Kindof conscious about my feet! but I promised Maya we'd do it together for the cruise. I'm going to check out a store downtown that sells VB and see what they have in the big hipster. I can already tell I'm not going to be following my new rule. I have my Coach cross body bag it's small but I'll use it if I don't find anything I like.

Look at these cute pillowcases I had made for the kids on Etsy! I just got them yesterday and they turned out great! Now I need to decide if I want to let the characters sign them? They look so pretty all white too.

Hopefully when I get home on my computer I can see the image!

Crazy, what are the odds?! I say the FE goes to the bottom of your list of projects, don't stress yourself out.

Get one!!! You will LOOOVE it! I use to do pedicures many years ago. "Bad" feet never bothered me. I loved the before and after. The only thing I couldnt handle is bad fungus... and Im not talking just cloudy slightly green nails. I dont want to make anyone sick, so I will stop there... but that was only 1 time.

Oh man, tell me about it! I keep thinking of something else I really should have. I am on a STRICT LIMIT today though. DS needs a plain white t to go under his pirate outfit, I need a plain black t for sleeping in (my PJ bottoms still fit but the top, not so much), and a clippy thing for the back of my pirate shirt, and we need dog food. PERIOD!!! We'll see how that goes. Good luck to you!

I agree! So, I have a circulation issue that makes me have really bad callouses. Thankfully no pooling blood sores at this point (thank you Arizona heat and pregnancy increased circulation) but I am still really self conscious about my feet. I had my first pedi last year when my mom was here and liked it. I got another one before my Vegas trip and it was SO GREAT, and I am getting another one today! You won't feel self-conscious after your toes are pretty!

Thanks for the good luck but I blew it already and it's only 2:06! Everyone was talking about the VB bags and I knew the store downtown marks down their discontinued patters 50%. Well, once you get me in the store I'm going to end up buying something. They didn't have any hipsters on sale, but they did have a backpack in a cute pattern. I picked it up for 44$, and Maya can use it for school after we get back.

Christina they had 2 of the camera bags left and they're very cute! The lady told me the camera bags are only for a limited time. They tried to order more, but the rep said that's all they could get because they're gone. Size wise they'd fit your DSLR and an extra lens with some other things. It's actually a very nice size not to big or small, but there's no way Brian would carry it around! He's usually carrying the bag and I usually take the pics. I'd hate to have to carry the bag and take the pics. OY!

I think I'm just going to have the kids use their pillow cases, and we'll get the photo matt signed.

So tonight I ran around like a nut with my 5 and 3 yr old in tow to Jo Ann Fabric and Michael's to find things to make an FE.
Let this be your warning....I am not crafty by an means and pretty much threw together something to hang outside our stateroom. So please don't judge me by the looks of it. LOL

I still have quite a bit to do and a full weekend of parties coming up.
Anyone staying at Disney before or after our cruise?
We are staying 1 night at All Star Movie before the cruise and then 3 nights at Coronado Springs after the cruise.

I am staying at the music the 7th and check out the 8th. Spending a half day in the park on the 8th and full day on the 7th and then check in to the Fort Wilderness campsites for 6 nights and 7 days.

I am at work and can't stop thinking about all the things I need to do before we leave. Just booked a hotel the night before our flight in NY. Our flight is at 6:45am and no one in my family is a morning person by any means. So the less things I have to do and later we can all sleep the better!
I just hate getting there late in the day! We are arriving in Florida the day before our cruise and I want to enjoy the resort for a bit!
So exciting! I can't believe we are almost there!

Also, is anyone else going without passports? They told me I would just need copies of birth certificates for kids and birth certificate and license for DH and I.

Well, once you get me in the store I'm going to end up buying something. They didn't have any hipsters on sale, but they did have a backpack in a cute pattern. I picked it up for 44$, and Maya can use it for school after we get back.

Christina they had 2 of the camera bags left and they're very cute! The lady told me the camera bags are only for a limited time. They tried to order more, but the rep said that's all they could get because they're gone. Size wise they'd fit your DSLR and an extra lens with some other things. It's actually a very nice size not to big or small, but there's no way Brian would carry it around! He's usually carrying the bag and I usually take the pics. I'd hate to have to carry the bag and take the pics. OY!

I think I'm just going to have the kids use their pillow cases, and we'll get the photo matt signed.

I got the camera bag in green. It is a really nice size. Oh and my other bag was too girly for my DH to carry too... ya and this 1 Im sure he wont touch It will be nice to carry around. I love the backpacks. I would like to get 1 someday. They are just expensive... and I havent NEEDED 1 to pay the price. Enjoy the pedi!

Nope.. no passports here. They are not required. The kids have birth certs & state IDs, I have my birth cert & drivers license. DH has a passport

Ditto that! Our flight is out of St Louis at 6:35am. I have booked a park-n-fly hotel so we can just be shuttled to our terminal. We're going to head out Tuesday late afternoon, have dinner and try to go to bed EARLY. I want to be ready to go go go when I hit the boat, not take a nap

I think that GS list looks good! I need to try to schedule Palo brunch when we get on the ship too, but I am not holding out too much hope for success. We have the 12-12:30 arrival time, but we're planning to try and get there a few minutes early just in case.

Ugh, strep is the worst! I had it this time last year when we went to visit these same in laws, and DS got hand, foot and mouth disease and could only eat pudding and yogurt for days. Incidentally not our best vacation ever. Wish the little one a happy birthday and I hope no one else gets sick!

I am glad you're trying out a pedi! Mine today was so awesome. Though I was hoping for little black Mickey heads and the woman was clearly not comfortable with it, so I did a flower instead. Trying shellac on my fingernails for the first time, too!

I want pics of this camera bag. The one I carry is a backpack and it's Tamrac or Lowepro so DH has no trouble carrying it, but it is a whole big backpack. I might just carry it on a strap around my neck for most of the cruise.

Your plan sounds like a good one. I'm glad we're getting to FL a few days early, even though I'm a little nervous about that drive down from Sarasota the day of. It's only 3 hours so I think we'll be ok.

I think a lot of people are not bringing passports. We all happen to have them (including DS) because we went to Korea a few years ago, so we're bringing ours.

So I have to say the DIS boards make me laugh -- I say I can't see your picture but then when I come to check things tonight there it is in my reply! So it makes me sound funny!! But I LOVE them! I think going with the plan of not getting them signed is probably good one. I'm going to do an iron on on the girls', but I like the idea of putting it on the edge like that -- I was going to do the middle. I still may, but love getting a new idea!!

Like others have said, it sounds like quite a few aren't taking passports -- so you'll be fine. Like Tiffany, we have them so we'll bring them. Though earlier this week I saw them and almost put them up and then was like I need them! It's on the list now!!

And jury duty is OVER!
And my dad isn't working tomorrow and said he won't go in even if he gets called in! So I'll try to go run errands -- though he has watched the girls several times this week for me! But as long as I don't get distracted and lost in Wal-Mart this time , I can probably be faster without the girls. My parents may be glad to get a break from us for a week!!

I hope she stays well. The "not panicking" part is hard! I'm resisting the urge to ask Ryan every 5 minutes "Does your throat hurt?". Phil has strep now too, so now we both have it. He started his antibiotics yesterday. We both only have slight sore throats now, so we'll be fine for the cruise. But I'm trying not to freak out over Ryan. I keep telling myself that he was probably the carrier and we got it from him I'm still toying with the idea of calling the pediatrician's office to get a prescription just to have on hand just in case. I wonder if they would do that...

So glad to hear jury duty is over!

We're closing on a re-finance this afternoon, then Ryan and I have haircut appointments, and THEN I can pack. Our flight leaves at 7:55am Sunday morning! Hot and humid Florida, here we come!
