1-I forgot if this as been answered yet but what is docking like at Outer Mole in Key West?
2-I read somewhere you had to be shuttled to town?
3-How often do the shuttle people two and from? Is it a free shuttle?
4- Also would we be able to get back on ship when we want?

Would we be able to leave the ship a little later when they dock wanted to catch lunch on the ship since it included and then just get a slice of key lime pie in town. I was really hoping just to spend a couple of hours in Key West not all day.

If we dock in the same place as today we walked off the ship and into town. The dock is only a couple hundred feet from the shopping area. You can come and go as you please.

So far, for our family of 5, we have 5 bags and a book bag. 1 for me, 1 for john, 1 for all 3 kids, a shoe bag, a bag of "stuff" (carry on) and then book bag for alcohol/drinks (Captian Handle, a few bottles of wine) I think we might ask my parents to bring a rolling bag for beer/bottled water.

You have a handle on the bag situation! Wish I were that good about packing.

A quick update from the first leg of our B2B on the Magic. We are at Pier B so no need for shuttle - just walk into town from the ship. Weather hot and dry.

Movies - John Carter, Muppets, Cars 2, Chimpanzee and Avengers will starting showing Monday.

Shows - All Aboard, Villians Tonight, Twice Charmed, Movie Night/Pirate Night, Disney Dreams.

Sounds like a great cruise so far for you guys!

The shuttles will be running continuously throughout the day between the outer mole pier (where we will dock) and the drop off/pick up location. There is no charge for them (since they are required), and you can certainly return when you want. You may have to wait a few minutes for a shuttle to arrive, but there is not a set schedule. It's a bit of an inconvenience to be docked at outer mole, but beats the heck out of tendering!


Went shopping earlier, and did not buy a thing! I can't believe I managed to do that!

On a happier note than my earlier post. I leave tonight. Have a pizza day and video game day planned with my godchildren and there mother, my friend. It is going to be awesome.

Again, sorry for my absence! I've been soooo busy! Appointments, laundry, cleaning, etc. I need a vacation!

Lost 6 lbs in the last 10 days! Woot! In the last month I dropped 12 lbs with 2 inches coming off my waist and 2 inches off my hips. Yay!!!!

In the past few days I've been running around like a mad woman shopping for clothes for myself. I hadn't looked at my clothes much because I wasn't sure where my weight would end up, what I'd have that fits, and what more I'd need or want. So here I am throwing it all together last minute. What a pain!

Soooo...we leave tonight around 2 am. I guess I should start packing the suitcases.....

Cindy - I think my ears finally turned out ok but thanks for the offer. If they didn't work the way they are supposed to, we'll just leave them off.

We are working on packing today and I am a grumpy mama! DS's stuff is all figured out. DH finally said, "So... what should I pack?" I told him I had a list for him, then explained how I did DS and he just stared at me blankly and said we'll have to do it together. Not like I don't have enough to do!

Meanwhile he keeps saying things like, "I think we should bring our baseball mitts and a couple of balls. They won't take up much space." Unfortunately, he doesn't get that one hundred things that don't take up much space.... take up a ton of space! We will see how many suitcases we end up with.

DS is coming down with a cold which of course means he's wheezing like crazy so I'm doing breathing treatments every 4 hours and praying it's cleared up by Wednesday.

AND I just realized I never did put magnets on my magnets. So they are cute pictures... and that's all. We'll see if I get time but if not I'll just bring them and work on them on the plane or something. We'll get through it!

DS got his call from Mickey and he was so excited! He can't stop talking about it. I posted it to FB but I think everything is locked. I will put it up on YouTube or something for my TR so everyone can see it.

I can't wait to meet you all!

Safe travels to you guys! And congrats on the weight loss (and inches loss!). I am at 18 pounds down since the end of February. Not quite where I wanted to be, but happy the Flonase setback in March wasn't any worse, and I have been able to get back on track. I still have another 30 lbs or so to go before I hit my target weight, but I'm not going to sweat that!

In the end, DS and I are sharing our medium suitcase for clothes and a few pairs of shoes. DH has the big suitcase all to himself, though he does have the snorkel find. Then there is a carry on size with "stuff" and remaining fe items, etc. and finally i realized our toiletries were still in the bathroom so we added a small duffel that can expand for souvenirs. Then there is the camera bag and a backpack carry on. Technically two suitcases, two carry ons and two "personal items" but we are checking the rolling carry on and the toiletry duffel. *pant*

In less than 12 hours we will be on a plane on our way to Sarasota and in 72 hours we will be eating dinner at Lumier's!!!

Ok my DH is going to have a hissy fit when he gets home! He just doesnt get packing and thinks I should be able to pack us all in 3 suitcases (kids sharing) Um we have 5 Not too bad though right??? 1 of my friends is sailing the Fantasy tomorrow and they have 8 yes 8 for their family of 4. Im SOOO happy that I shipped my FE gifts... or I would have 6 LOL

Right now I have two suitcases and each of us have a carry on. I finish the last touches tonight so I "might" have one more small suitcase. My dh recently was diagnosed with sleep apnea and now has a CPAP machine. It can be carried on but he doesn't want to mess with it so I may need another suitcase for that...it weighs 6#.

So one of my BFFs has been trying to get a group of girls together for over a year to do a girls weekend getaway (I keep telling them I can go wherever, whenever). Yesterday she got fed up with it, and finally just made plans for the first weekend in October. She and I are booked to sail the Dream!

You are so much better than me with packing. I am now up to five bags for checking in. A large suitcase, rolling duffle, two garment bags, and my Castaway Club zippered tote. Ugh! That does not include the rolling carry-on and a laptop case, plus a very small duffle.

Oh brother! I feel like there is just way too much with my luggage! You guys are killing me with your minimum bags. (Ok, granted I need a change of clothes for the conference and have foolishly packed those in with everything else.)

Today's the day!!!! & I'm up bright & early! We are @ country inn & suites right next to the port. Nice hotel but now that I've seen this area I'll prolly stay down the road next time & save some $ since the port is very close to everything. I was worried about driving in but no worries now.
Ok yesterday's flight was uneventful except for the slight holding patern @ MCO while a storm rolled through. Then we got our rental car (a huge boat of a car, a crown vic!) drive it to the gate & ... It's the wrong car!! OMG to funny! The lady's like yea this isn't your car, so back we went. Thank God bc that car was huge! What did we get? Hold on, wait for it, a black.. Lincoln town car. Haha!! Another boat, but this thing drives like a cloud! We floated all the way over to the port.
If anyone is still out here I can't wait to see you all. Oh & Cindy don't feel bad we ended up with 2 checked bags @ 48lbs each! 2 rollons 1 garmet bag 1 carryon bag Coles backpack Maya's backpack & my backpack. I'm exhausted just typing that. We looked like a group of pack mules!
