May 8th 2008 cruise

I'm so jealous of everyone who's vacation is starting early. I have to work Mon, Tues and WED!!! DH is on vacation :sad2:

Where are you staying at MODisneyfan? We're also arriving Tuesday, staying at Wilderness Lodge.

Don't worry grumpymom, Thursday will be here before you know it!!!!! :thumbsup2

DbleTheFun - Your little guys are adorable. Not sure I'll be successful at posting a pic - but I'll try. I'll be the one with two girls (if that helps). I will probably be embarassing them and they'll be begging me to pipe down or act normal.

Packed the girls today and most of myself. Still need to find children's non drowsy dramamine just in case (although the last time we cruised they were fine).

Heading down on Wed early morning staying at my favorite resort - the Boardwalk.
I can't believe how soon it is! Crazy!

I got most of the packing done today.Yeah!!! Tomorrow I tackle the house and make sure everything is in order before the vaca. I always feel like I'm going to forget something, but I'm sure we'll be fine. I want to come home from work on Monday night with nothing to do but eat dinner, relax and go to bed early for our 4 a.m. wake-up time.

Since this is our first Disney cruise, I hope that we'll be able to do everything that we want to. Any suggestions as to what not to miss for a couple of 50-somethings?

Well we did most of the packing tonight, all we need to do now is stop by the store and pick up some last minute additions. We fly out Wednesday night and are staying at All Star Music beofre we head to the ship Thursday AM! I found a pic with the entire family from our first cruise just last year. Of course now the baby is much bigger so I'll add one from our most recent cruise (last November)

We were suppose to be at Pop but one of our friends backed out a couple of weeks ago so I am staying with the other girl that is going and she lives in Cape Canaveral so...

What time is everyone planning on getting to the port? We're supposed to leave at 9am and hopefully be there at opening.

We are shooting for getting there about the same time... Maybe earlier if the little one wakes up early!

Thanks everyone! I'm sure Thursday will come soon enough since I still have a lot to do.

We plan to be at the port for opening. Maybe even a little earlier. We have an hour and a half drive and I don't want to get caught up in the morning traffic that the Orlando area is so famous for. LOL

Everyone's pics are great. Wow, we have some good looking families sailing!

I have no idea how to post a pick, but if I can figure it out I might post one.:rotfl:

Well ... Most of the clothes are piled up and some of the FE gifts are done.
Tomorrow, I'm volunteering at the kids' school, subbing on Tuesday, but off on Wednesday to finish up.
Our plan is to head out around 8:30 from home, so hopefully, we should make it to the port around 11 AM.
CastawayJP, how old is your daughter (the older one)? We are going to try to get our DD7 into the 8-10 age group (she is 3 months from her bday) because while she is only 7, she is in 2nd grade with almost all 8 year olds (she's the baby in her class).
Plus, it was a pain last time having one kid in the Club and one kid in the Lab and having to go to both places each time to check them in/out.
Either way, your daughter would be in the same group as one of our kids (our DS10 will be in the Lab), I'm sure. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
Rose :)

We can't wait to meet everyone, too! I'm working today and tomorrow, and have so much more to do! I have mine and my dd's clothes all laid out, but still waiting on my mom's. I'm the lucky one who gets to do all of the packing/making sure that everything is together. It seems like there's so much more to do with this trip and I'm worried that I'll forget something! I guess the most important things to remember are our drivers licenses/birth certificates/passport/ and boarding passes for the cruise. I guess I can always pick up anything else that I forget! :rotfl:

Well two bags finished and ready to go. Two more left to finish. Thank goodness that American Airlines hasnt started up a 1 bag per person policy. We are both very excited, but my Son has no clue. He just thinks it fun to play with the luggage. We fly out Weds night and we are staying in a hotel on Cocoa Beach. See yall Thursday!

I don't know if I'll have the time to post again today, so if I don't, I hope everyone has a safe trip to Orlando/PC, and we hope to see you all there! We leave tomorrow morning at 7:30 am for the airport. Mickey, here we come!!

Just thought I'd pop in to say bye for now. All the suitcases except for 1 carry-on are in the car. We are ready to go! Our flight leaves Atlantic City at 7:30 on Tuesday morning. We're not taking our lap-top with us, so tonight will be my last post till we see you on Thursday. Have a safe trip everyone!
