I am soo ready for Friday! We leave NC on Friday and are driving to Daytona Beach. I need to get in the car and hit the road so I can stop all of this planning and packing! My dd was so cute yesterday at her gymnastics class - she told her little friend that she wouldn't be in class next week because she will be on a cruise in the bahhaa's with Mickey (such a diva). My dh has also deceided that this would be a good time to pour a patio at our house and start construction on a barn. I told him - I might leave him at home. Imagine ~ someone books your cruise, saves the money for it, packs for everyone in the family, cleans the car, takes care of all arangements (house sitter, excused absences from school) and ALL you have to do is show up! I need a wife...

2 More Days of Work - 3 More Days and We leave NC - 5 More Days and WE BOARD THE WONDER!!

Tomorrow is the big packing day! Everything is gathered and ready to be carefully placed in the suitcases--NOT! Looking forward to a crazy hectic day and hoping my poor feeble mind remembers everything it's suppose to....and by the way.....

I have been doing my laundry and making a MOUNTAIN in my room and then Saturday I will go through the mountain and decide what I want or not...
This has been a really busy week at work so I decided not to stress out about packing I will do it on Saturday... so if you see me wearing the same outfit everyday dont be surprised... I am so glad everyone in my family is old enough to pack themselves if I had to pack anyone else I would be in trouble... got my bonine for the first few days... I have been reading the trip reports everyone that has gone recently is talking about how rough the waters are on Sunday when they departed so I am not going to take any chances....It is raining here in Jacksonville. I went out and looked at the weather in the bahamas and it suppose to be storming on Wed. while we are on the cruise... I pray that we get to get off at CC...

Our bus is picking us up at 8:00 on Sunday morning... I am so ready to get on that boat..... hope you guys have a good week, look forward to meeting everyone on Sunday Night or in the line....

Well I am off....I probably won't be logging back in - too much to do and we are leaving in the morning for Daytona Beach and then on to the ship on Sunday. I just went onto Disney online and did my spa and palo's ressie's - what a huge relief off my shoulders! I actually feel like I can relax now! Look forward to meeting you guys!!

Thanks, Jen. I'd like to reiterate that anyone who wants to book Palo/Spa/Excursions online should try to do it today because it's my understanding that no additons/changes can be made within 2 days of sailing. At that point, you have to wait until you board the ship to add/change reservations.

Is Uncle Walt smiling down on us or what? We're the first Wonder cruise passengers to be able to take advantage of online booking of Palo/excursions/spa. Party on!

Thanks for the heads up about the ressies. Got Palo's!!!! No standing in that line! Anyway I have to agree with gatorbait--the comment about the pager was priceless, one of the funnier things I read on this Board. The person bring her toliet paper and asking if that was okay rates right up there, too!

well, guys after all our planning time is almost here, not sure if we i will be back on the boards or not before we leave sofor those of you that are starting out traveling today be safe and we will see you Sunday night, or maybe in line...

In the meantime, more good news. Until yesterday, the weather channel's forecast for the Bahamas was 60% chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday. It's been revised since then, and now every day of the cruise is forecasted to be sunny or partly cloudy with only a 10% chance of rain. And the national weather service says the seas should be only 3-5 feet west of the Bahamas, so, God willing and knock on wood, it looks like the May 8 Wonder cruise is going to be smooth and

Which is a good thing, because it's hard to stroll the deck with a full martini in high seas.

Thanks for the forecast update!!! So great of you to post that! I was a bit worried about the waves and motion sickness. Tried Bonine last night and woke up late this morning with a headache, not my usual wake up mode, so I'm blaming it on the Bonine. I guess I'll see what Dramine does to me tonight. Don't want to be groggy!
