Is anyone else planning to take this 3 Night Bahamian Cruise on May 7, 2009?
OK we are not that old! But will be celebrating our 35 Anniversary..
Would love to meet fellow DISers..:yay:

We've just changed our dates.. my family is going to be ther with my sister's.
I'm just sooo excited!

I'll be joining you too, along with my 4 year old dd! It will be the first time that I'll be doing it with just me and her, but not our first time on a Disney cruise. It will be her second, and my third! We'll be doing a couple of nights at WDW beforehand, her 6th time and my 36th! :woohoo:

We look forward to meeting everyone!:goodvibes

Hi!!! :flower3: Just trying to talk DF into taking this cruise. It will be our honeymoon and both of my kids' bdays all rolled into one (even though we won't be getting married until we come home - just couldn't pass up the price)!

Any good airfares yet? I found a good one out of White Plains for $79/way but I'd love to go out of Newark.

Hopefully you can get your DF to agree to go! :)

Congrats on your airfare! I'll fly Southwest and their schedules probably won't come out for another couple of months.

Keeping my fingers crossed - we talk about it tonight. BUT, I just got a letter from the good ole IRS and it seems we underpaid in 2006. Ugh!!!!

Just booked this cruise a couple days ago for my sister, her husband and 2 kids as a surprise....now just trying to see if I can afford to get another room for me and my boyfriend!

Just saw on Disney's website this sailing is cheaper then when I booked! I called and got $100 credit so 817.92 for 2 adults and 2 kids!!! :woohoo:

Sailing with myself, hubby and 3 (of our 4) kids: DS 10, DD 9, and DS 4... unfortunately, DS 2 will be land-locked with Grandma at home!

Can't wait!:cool1:

We booked this on December 15 as a Birthday Gift to my two kids. My DD turns 6 on May 1 and DS turns 9 on June 28. I wanted to take them on a Birthday cruise last year but the prices never came down. We couldn't pass up the chance this year!

I'm looking forward to booking Palo's, but we are not going on any excursions. We might get off the boat in Nassau and walk around or go to the Pirate Museum, but mainly we will play it by ear.

We were on the September 27 Double Dip and I can't wait to get back on Castaway Cay! We are also booked on WBTA in September 2010.

Hi Everyone!! Wow I'm so glad to join a thread where there are some fellow travelers. I had started a thread for another cruise before we changed plans and I was all alone for a long time!! Anyway, my wonderful MIL is taking my family DH(41), me(39),DD(9) and DD(9) on a cruise...can it get any better than that!!!??? My SIL will also be going with her two kids DS(9) and DD(6).
We originally booked a 4 night May cruise but when they offered kids free on a 3 night my little brain started churning and spitting out all kinds of ideas. My SIL's kids have never been to WDW, we went in 2006. I thought how nice it would be for them to get to see the castle, POTC, etc. So long story short I talked MIL into booking 2 nights at POFQ w/quick service dining, park hopper tickets and the 3 night cruise and it still came out cheaper than a four night cruise!! That's just to much to pass up. I'm all about getting more for your money! So here we are. I look forward to chatting with you all, especially those of you with prior cruising experience. I'm really going to try and relax and not freak out too much about all the little details like I did for our Disney trip. I want to make sure I have all my bases covered and just try to enjoy it.

My husband and I will be traveling with our four 9 year olds and 2 year old. We originally booked a suite on a 4 day but changed our plans when the kids sail free promo came out and got connecting rooms instead. My MIL and FIL are coming along and will have their own room also. After the cruise we are headed to wdw for 7 days. It will be a long, but much needed vacation!!!princess:

Wow 5littleindians...quads! I have twin girls. Multiples are so much fun! (I can say that now since they are 8...in their first year I wasn't saying that!!)
Are any of your kids girls? We took advantage of the kids free, too. You can't beat it! We are doing the parks for only 2 nights prior to the cruise. We went to WDW in 2006 so we will only visit anything new or things we loved the first time. Glad you joined the thread I look forward to chatting with everyone. I'm starting to get things together but I promised myself I will not obsess over packing like I did the first time. But first I need to focus all my attention to this week's football game.....GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Yes, three of ours are girls - we are going to be celebrating their 9th birthday on the cruise. :) The kids are already getting so excited! Has anyone booked Palo yet?:grouphug:

We booked Palo! I stayed up until midnite on Thursday last week to make sure we got the time we wanted! There were still a lot of openings just not on the last night. We don't like the pirate menu, so we booked on Nassau night at our regular dining time. We will grab something for the kids before the show and sign them into the kids club after the show and head to dinner.

I love that there will be other 9 year old boys sailing with us! And a 6 year old girl too!

Did I mention that we have not told the kids about this cruise? We plan to have lunch with them the Wednesday before the cruise and then take them out of school the rest of the day and head down to Florida. We have told them we have bought them a Birthday Present, but it hasn't arrived yet. We hope we can keep the secret until we get in sight of the ship then spring it on them. I have a feeling that my DS will figure it out when he sees what direction we are driving. :confused3

I'm so excited about this cruise! We booked GTY, so we won't have a stateroom # until about 4 weeks before we leave. It's hard waiting.

Tiffany, that's great you got the Palo time you wanted. I don't think were going to do Palo. This will be our first cruise and it is only 3 nights. I want to hang out with my girls and we'll be with my MIL and SIL and her kids. Plus my DH is not into fancy-shmancy food. He can't appreciate fine dining. I think it would be wasted on him. I'm going to save that fot the next cruise that I talk my DH into booking while we are onboard!!:cool1:

We have booked our Palo also - we are doing it on the Nassau night too - only a later dinner. We will get the kiddos an early dinner, see the first show and then drop them at the clubs. I am nervous to see how our youngest does being left. She goes to daycare, but hates changes in routine. :) I am also suprising the family, but not with the trip completely (we did that once and our son took about 2 days to get used to the idea of being on the trip - he does much better when things are predictable). In any case, on the day we get off the ship, I have booked a VIP tour at WDW for all of us to enjoy!:dance3:

Hello everyone,

My family of 11 (6 adults/5 kids) is booked on this cruise. This is the first Disney cruise for all so everyone is excited!! :cheer2:

I've been to Nassau before & planned to stay onboard HOWEVER some of my family would like to visit Atlantis.

Has anyone ever been? Is it worth the price? Will it be fun for the following ages: 1, 4, 4, 11, 14?

Thanks

THis will be our 5th Disney Cruise but first one on the Wonder! Looking forward to it. Maybe we can actually get Palo reservations this time. We have three girls ages (at time of travel) 3, 5 and 10

Is anyone doing Fish Extenders? Let us know
