Well today is Monday, May 9th and also our Formal Night and our chance to see The Golden Mickey's for the first time
. Since we were at sea today and DH and I were also having brunch at Palo's at 10:00 with some DISers, we ordered room service for the girls the night before. We figured we could have something light to eat and take our time getting ready. We put 8:00 to 8:30 for our breakfast to be delievered thinking we would be up way before then. Well the phone rang at 8:30 saying room service was on it's way and we were all still sound a sleep
We got dressed and met our friends at Palo's for brunch. What a great bunch of people and a wonderful meal. We had Sasha as our server and he was great!!
The rest of the day was kicking back by the adult pool and checking out parts of the ship we haven't seen and just enjoying the day. I couldn't wait to get dressed up for dinner tonight.
I started getting ready about 4:00 because we wanted to catch the Captain's Welcome Reception at 5:15pm and do our formal pictures before dinner. The reception was crowded, but lines for pictures weren't too long since we got there early. Our dinner tonight was at Lumiere's, which was very nice. I was a little disappointed by where our table in this restaurant was located, in the back with not much of a view. No big deal... company and service was still great. I had the Tomato Risciotto(?) topped with Spiced Shrimp for appetizer, Blue Crab & Seafood soup and I can't for the life of me remember what I ate for dinner. For dessert, I had The Golden Chocolate Chocolate Award, which was yummy.
The girls took off after dinner, so DH went to the Golden Mickey's by ourselves. They really missed a wonderful show.
I can't remember what we did after, but I think it was a early evening for us. Time flies when your having fun.......
Tomorrow..... Grand Cayman
