One suitcase for just the pirate gear? OK, now THAT is a good reason for me not to pack special pirate stuff right there! Tell ya what....we'll get in the spirit by watching YOU in your gear, how's that?

I WILL be wearing pirate rings and possibly a temporary tattoo, to go along with my black POC t-shirt, if that counts. Oh! Oh! AND....I found the coolest earrings! Long dangly rhinestones with SKULLS on them. (Now where else will I ever get the chance to wear THOSE?) See? I AM in the spirit! I AM! Shut UP! (ok, now I'm going to go and sit in the corner and pout because Chris doesn't think I'm in the spirit enough for pirate night. hmph!)

Congratulations!! That is absolutely fantastic news! With all the ailments, bugs, viruses, sore throats and stuff going around THIS group a little good news is refreshing!! PTL!

I've been kinda busy the last couple of days myself. I came home Tuesday STILL LOOKING for our tickets and found instead a sign in our front yard that read "House For Sale - By Neighbors". I really didn't think our yard looked all that bad. We've been in a drought for weeks and my trees have been fighting over dogs! So, the last two days I've been concreting our yard and painting it green. (I can't wait to see what the owners association has to say NOW!) My DW says I have an intellect rivaled only by garden tools!

Hey folks, you've just got to get into the "spirit" of being a pirate!! I've had more fun planning my "outfit" than sneeking signs into the Chinese Restaurant window! Live a little and do something - to quote Jack Sparrow "really stupid!" Just a bit of trivia - the ring worn by Captain Jack is not a movie prop. Johnnie Depp has worn that ring for a very long time complete with skulls on all four sides. (and some people think my goal posts are too far apart! ) Dress up in your worst and join the crew, matey! Do it "for the children"!

I suppose Sandra and her gang are in the Magic Kingdom. Hope they didn't lose a suitcase!! 4? Only 4? (We have two just for our pirates outfits!!)

Hey Wendi! Tell your mom my DW said I was made just like your mom's swimsuit. My nose runs and my feet smell - I was built upside down! Can't wait to hear Gram sing "A Dream is a wish your heart makes!" Tell her to listen to the Disney Circle of (child) Stars sing it! It'll make her feel like a Baptist Deacon at a rap concert! It's very good, but I get tired just watching them.

Wendi....I got my eyepatches/earrings (it was a little "set") at Disneyland, but I'll bet they have that stuff at a party store. Maybe easier to get it before you leave than try to search for it at Key West? Although, what do I know...I bet the pirate museum has cooler stuff!! (I should just shut up since I don't know what I'm talking about, huh?!

Edited to add: I found the website of the pirate museum. it's www.piratesoul.com I would assume that the onsite gift shop has the same stuff you can find online. (But you know what they say about assuming!)

Not sleeping well at all now. Too Excited!! Gues my visits to the Rainforest Room will merely be to take long naps in my heated chair! Does anybody know if the pirate museum in Key West has a decent gift shop?? Maybe piratey things for Weds night? Gram would be fab in an eye patch...

Hey Heather....just saw your post over on Cruise Critic's Paradise Beach thread. That's what we have decided to do on our Cozumel day, too!

Our "Big Excursion Day" is going to be the Stingrays in GC (with Nativeway)....all the other days we will just try to kick back and relax. Paradise Beach sounds wonderful, doesn't it?

Where are you Chris? You've been MIA for 2 whole days and we miss your humor! Did you go out to find that carrier pigeon?

Well I can't talk today, so I suppose dh would say I am doing well. At least it doesn't feel like it is totally on fire, just can't say anything without squeaking. Hey, maybe Mickey would understand me! LOL I like your remedy and will most definately be trying that a week from now, sore throat or not.

As for a meet up time: I like the idea of meeting in the terminal, if we can swing it. We will probably get to port about 11 or 11:30. Everyone should wear a green ribbon or something so we know we all come from the disboards???

Ok, that's all my tired brain can think of. So you all decide and let me know and I will be there!

Go to the CC message boards page...scroll down to "ports of call," click "Cozumel," and on the first page there is a HUGE thread (like 95 pages!) called "Questions and comments about Paradise Beach." The guy who owns the place posts there regularly. (Tom) I've never been but hear it's fabulous, so that's where we're heading!

And regarding the meeting place...since I've never been, I don't know where a good place on the ship would be. I'm up for saying hi to as many folks as possible in the terminal before we board, though. I guess I'll be hanging around the ship's model wearing some sort of green something! (I need to find some ribbons I guess!)

Does anyone who has actually been on a Disney Cruise have any ideas on where a good place to meet (onboard) would be?

We sill also be staying at the Radisson the night before and hope to be on the first shuttle out. Perhaps we'll meet on the shuttle or at least in the terminal. I for one will be wearing a lime green shirt, haven't decided on the sleeveless one or the short sleeve one - but it will be bright lime green! Should match well with my red hair! There will be 12 of us tromping around together and I will probably be the only one in the green.

As for pirate night, we don't have any costumes or stuff planned. DH thinks it's silliness. My SIL will probably be bringing eye patches for all of us and I will make everyone wear the bandanna they give you. I do have some fabulous giant hoop earings I could wear.

I still have a sore throat and was up coughing my lungs up half the night. Hopefully DH and DD won't get it. The boys already had it and of course gave it to me. At least we have one more week to get better! I hear you have the same thing Lisa! It wasn't me, I promise!

WOW! You guys/gals have been very, very busy on here the last few days. I haven't had time to pop in and had some major catching up to do.

Yes, Sneezy63, we did plan on 11-11:30 meet at the port. I plan on being on the first bus from the airport even if I have to drag my family kicking and screaming all the way!

Sharon, glad to hear you got good news back from your test. Your idea for a meet after 2nd seating sounds great!

Hey, is anyone coming from the Hyatt at the airport on the DCL buses? We are. DH doesn't want anything to keep us from getting to that boat so it's gonna be Disney's problem!

I didn't get anything for me for pirates nights, maybe I will try to find something tropical. DH has a shirt from Pirates of Caribbean in DW that is black with red flames all over the bottom of it. Not exactly pirate-ish but thats as close as I'll get with him. DD12 has a black skort she is wearing with a black/red stripped top. DD7, well I'll have her wear a shirt with flowers on it, unless I come across something in my travels.

Well I guess that's it for now, got more marathons to run today with soccer, sleepovers, DD's b-day party tomorrow and finish shopping for vacation mainly for me. DH I'm sure will wait until Thursday to tell me that he needs something. Always, like clockwork.
