Hi everyone...I am here! We have all been so sick (and stress!) Hope everyone is well or getting well! Kaylin won her race on Sat and then this Sat. were headed to Jacksonville for a state race, then back to Monticello the following Sat for a local series race...whew! Cruise, where are you????? Carl is trying to get his business going and so am I so it has been quite a trying time but we will get through it! Well, Hope everyone has a great week and hopefully I will be able to get in more frequently now!

Since this trip will be our first major trip, I am starting to panic. This will be only the 2nd time I have really flown and the last time was a lonnnnnggg time ago. Do you all panic at the last minute? I sure hope I don't forget something.

When do you all confirm your reservations with transportation and hotels? A week before? A few days before?

Not sure if you saw the posts on the main cruise board, but Disney has fired the current contractor for the parasailing at CC. I went to our DCL cruise plans and it does not show anymore as a booked excursion?? Can someone else check and let me know if it is still showing on your cruise plans? They are hoping to hire someone else, but I am not sure if they are just going to drop it completely.

I saw the posts regarding the problems and cancellations for March but I just figured it was a temporary thing and they would replace with another company.

More and more I'm thinking of dropping it and just doing it in Cozumel!

I was thinking the same thing! It is actually cheaper in Cozumel. But then we decided to do the Jeep excursion. We have done it before, but from what I read, they have revamped it, so I am hoping it will be a different experience. It is also done around 2:30 so that should still give us plenty of time to head to the beach or whatever if we want.

Debbie, no worries yet. I don't start confirming things til maybe three or four days before. I have called the airlines already and was able to move my seats. I hate sitting in the back of the plane! As for hotels and such, as long as you have confirmation #'s, 3 or 4 days before is plenty of time.
Before we start up the car to go to the airport, we make sure (together) we have any and all tickets, itineraries, and passports. All luggage has been at the front door since the night before. Cameras are with the luggage. I figure if I forgot almost anything else I can buy it. You will be fine. Stay calm, you are going to have to best time and everything will fall in to place!

Actually, United just sent us an email saying all our flights had changed, but confirming our seats and our mileage plus stuff. I usually confirm car, hotel and flights about 3 weeks prior to the cruise. I have already filled out all docs and printed them for DCL. I just carry a folder with all my confirmations in it. Then the day before I print out boarding passes and put those in my folder as well.
BTW, Yes, I panic that something will go wrong, a missed connection, the petsitter not being able to get into the house, the car breaking down, etc. But then when we get to Orlando there is a HUGE sense of relief and relaxation.

I am hoping that the jeep tour will be just as fun as the last time we went, which is over 3 years ago! It sounds like they changed it up a bit and allow us some time to see some more Mayan culture than before.

Is it just the two of you going? Or is your son going on this too? If you have three, the chances are you won't have to share a jeep.

Wow, good thing you checked. I didn't know they would do that for a slight time change. I bet some people on your flight will be peeved! I guess in that case I don't mind waiting until the day before to get seat assignments. But I'll have to leave CC and re-board the ship, hop on the internet and get our return seat assignments. Oh well, I would have to check in sometime that day to confirm our flight status anyway!

ok i am getting caught up..after a week of the sickies i think we are all finally getting better instead of worse.

i haven't checked our disney stuff lately so not sure what ours says but will let you know when i do. i am so far behind this week with everything. but i hope everyone doesn't bail on us now for parasailing at CC. i promise we are nice people

i start doing my confirmations and check-ins about a week prior to us leaving..i already have a folder of important paper work (maps, passports, etc.) going now and i keep that in a special place so i can add to it as needed. i have printed my confirmation from raddison will have to check into the online check -in ...i think i remember reading that when i booked our room way back when..

and now we are in the 2 month spread..just doesn't seem like it yet. i have been searching the web for pirate shirts but not finding much no big deal i guess i will make do with what we have. i did get the transfer on the t-shirts finally and will do the embroidery part tomorrow..yeah..be glad to get those done. i don't think i will get the magnets done though like i was hoping to. i have an audit at work to do this month an they decided to give me the hardest section to audit so this month i don't forsee me having much free time to do them. and next month we have to deal with a birthday and packing and all that good stuff oh well i'll keep them on the list just in case i get free time.

i took this weekend off to recover more from being sick so hoping to have a relaxing weekend. heck maybe with a bit of luck i can do the magnets this weekend

Boy and I thought the jet ski's were expensive at $95 an hour!
