May 5th 2007 Western Magic CINCO DIS MAYO!

Sorry I haven't been an active member of the board but I have enjoyed getting to know everyone through all of their posts when I pop in every now and then.

Madisonsnana, yes I have a 5 year old daughter. She is very excited also!!! My son will just of turned 8 when we cruise, I am hoping they will be allowed to stay together in the clubs.

About the 75 day mark, if today Saturday is the 76th day won't tonight at midnight become our 75th day?

Heidi

For some reason, I haven't been a real active poster on this thread, just posted a few times....usually I am an anal planner with all my trips....but with this one, I don't know....just sort of was planning other non-cruise trips (that are before and after!!!!) but today I read through a majority of the posts on this thread.....and i am SO excited to go............I have our Grand Cayman excursions planned (DH and DS will snorkeling at the shipwreck and reef, while DD and I will be on a tour of the island); at Cozumel we are doing the Dolphin encounter. I have a hot stone massage booked for myself on one of the days at sea, and will be booking a facial for the other day at sea!!!! Not sure yet about Castaway Cay.....the last time we did the snorkeling, bike, and raft thing....but this time I am thinking of just enjoying the beach ourselves.....and having the kids try the kids clubs on the island since last time they didn't have the time,....but who knows???? Also, in Key West, we are just going to walk around by ourselves...no real excursion planned..

has anyone sailed lately without a passport....since they updated the requiremants and we don't defintiely need one, I am thinking of NOT getting one again.....(we are not flying down this time...we will be driving in) I just would like to not spend the $$ right now, plus it is getting close!!!:cool1: But anyway, just wanted to know if anyone ahd a recent experience since jan 2007 started of sailing without one????

I just noticed that on our roll call (first page)I have this: mbw12 (from Southern NJ) = ___________ + DS Reid (9) + DD Regan (7). So can't you let me know your first name so I can add it to our roll call? Thanks!

MBW....which island tour are you on? We're going on the one with the butterfly farm. Maybe we'll see you!

we are on the one that goes to the turtle farm, Hell, and i forget where else.......

:confused3 I don't know. I spent waaaaaaaaaaaay too much time trying to figure it out.

Here was my logic (or lack thereof) posted back on page 46.

So would that be 3:00 am EST on 2/18? I've heard others say that for us East Coasters it starts at 3:00 am. I know its 75 days for us, but my math isn't working out. I figured...
Feb 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 27, 28 = 9 days
March = 31 days
April = 30 days
May 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 = 5 days
AND 9 + 31 + 30 + 5 = a total of 75 days

so ok, maybe its 75 days PRIOR to the cruise date, not counting the day we actually cruise, but that would be 2/19, right? See my dilemma? I just don't want to stay up til 3am more nights than necessary because I don't know how to count. All I want is one little Palo Brunch but I have to get Flounders ressies at the same time just in case DS isn't accepted to the kids club. We are working hard on the potty training (but we have a lot of work to do) and he will be 37 days shy of 3 so he may be rejected for that reason.

Great, now it says: mbw12 (from Southern NJ) = Bobbi +DH Marc + DS Reid (9) + DD Regan (7) + Bobbi's parents

Here's how it stands right now? Am I forgetting anybody? Those in Dis Green are people who have been part of the discussion or previously expressed interest in meeting onboard prior to the safety drill (I think, if I'm wrong please correct me). Those in red, I'm wondering if you have such an interest (feel free to say yeah or nay). Those in black haven't been heard from in some time (unless I missed you, if so my apologies) and those underlined can't go.

I know we'll be seeing some of you at the Radisson, but once on the ship, did we ever come up with a time/place to meet and say hello?:confused3

Here is our main door poster. Madison had a lot of fun with the Disney stickers.

Nice door sign! I finally printed mine out on magnetic paper and it came out alright for not having any real software.

Thanks for all the T-shirts transfer tips. I have my design, and I bought some T-shirts at Michaels, but I think I want to find the heavier duty ones at Walmart. I have never done iron on's before so it's going to be a challenge!

Hey...I was thinking maybe they might show Pirates 3 on the ship since it's so close to the premier. I'll bet the repo cruises get it. We just watched Pirates 2 tonight.

live from Disney Magic Feb 14th -- Almost Emergency

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just read this in the trip report section!!

Hello everyone I am live from the Disney Magic this evening. While doing the fireworks during the Pirates in the Caribbean deck party, there was an emergency code red call to the rear of the boat. My husband went to look and discovered that there was a misfire on the fireworks and appeared to be a fire by Palo restaurant. I am trying to find out more, and will post more later. They had all the fire hoses out and there was water everywhere. It also looked like they were possibly doing some roof repair to palo's. There were pieces of fireworks on the deck outside Palo's.

Will post more later.

Teri Irwin (Steve Irwin's wife) and family are also onboard this cruise. They are just a few cabins down from us.

I looked at the "lemon-lime" t-shirts at Michaels (on sale 2 for $5 yesterday), but the 50/50 blend seemed stretchy to me for some reason so I'm looking for 100% cotton. I saw a nice lime color at JoAnn's 100% cotton $4.99 each. I may go back to get them, but they didn't have kids so I'm trying to find them all together at one store. But it would work well for your family. I haven't checked Walmart YET. Its my next stop!

I've never done them myself either. Our WDW t's were done for us b y a creative diser. I'm following the tips too. Our magnets are giving me a problem. Blowing them to the right size - they are kind of blurry. I've got to play with them before printing them on the magnetic paper.

Madznana: AWESOME door sign.

I just read this in the trip report section!!

I read it a few days ago. Scary! I know it sounds terrible but i was actually focusing on the Irwin's being onboard and wondering how they feel about Stingray City. Poor form, I know. But it's what I'm looking forward too most. I guess the little girl wants to continue her dad's work so maybe they don't intend to shy away from places like that. It was so sad.

If you buy the dark T-shirt transfer you don't have to reverse. But if you've got the light transfers and already opened the package here are a bunch of tips I copied and pasted from the Creative DISigns thread:

etc.................

Wow! Thank you Kim, this helps a lot! :)

Karen, great door sign!

As for the "fire" on board, like Sue Ellen (my travel agent) said: only ONE person posted about this? If it was something to worry about, I would think more would post. But it is very scary.

For POC 3, I keep thinking they will "surprise" us with the premiere because the Premiere at Disney world is Feb 15th!

Well the good news is apparently I know how to count. :teacher: The bad news is that I didn't trust my ability to count and stayed up past 3am just in case I was allowed to book ressies last night. As suspected, i wasn't. So who will be up with me tonight for the 3am ressie countdown?

I hope they show POC 3 onboard. If that's the case I'll need more Flounders time. ;) DH wants to see it bad too!

I'm for meeting around 3:15-3:30ish on Deck 3 in the Promenade lounge if you all are. This would give us time to have had lunch and get to our rooms and explore the ship a bit before the safety drill at 4pm. Even if you just stop in to say hi, you don't have to stay and visit long if you don't want. Just makes it nice to pass and see other Disers on the ship throughout the week!

That sounds great to me too. Just let me know where to be and when to be there. We would love to meet everyone.

How am I ever going to function if I stay up all night tonight popcorn:: ? Mondays suck already.

So how many of us are left to make reservations tonight? :confused3

Yeah that would be me. And I stayed up last night because I wasn't sure. :sad2: Good thing I'm a SAHM for now ad don't have to work at the butt crack of dawn.

Promanade Lounge sounds great PPPiglet~ and I will be staying up tonight too. Granted, I don't have to stay up until 3am, that really stinks.
I also just decided I probably should look for a second choice in excursions just in case. I doan wanna..... and I still want to try parasailing. I will decide on Palo when we get on the ship. If it happens it happens. I'm good either way. I have to know Madison will be comfortable with the kids club since we are mostly taking the trip to have fun with her!!
3 and 1/2 hours to ressie time. Karen and Kim, did either of you try to take a nap today? We are watching the Amazing Race, what a way to travel.. :happytv: Good luck everyone
