May 5, 2012 Fantasy

I started the "gathering" process this past weekend! Just getting some of the standard stuff ready, pulling out bathing suits (I never lose the weight I say I am going to :rolleyes1) and thinking in the general direction of vacation! :yay:

I'm beginning to wonder just how empty this cruise will be? Looks like there will be some extra space, which might be nice. :woohoo:

So I have now been assigned a cabin - I know this can change but those in Group 1 may as well take the cabin number I have for now.
My Cabin No is 10560
Kristie, could you please update the list on page 38?

I am wait listed for early dinner and haven't been successful with this as yet.

Printed out all my "stuff" today--cruise check in documents, hotel check in, airline stuff...and put it in my carry on bag. It's starting to be official.

I really need to take a few hours and organize clothes....maybe tomorrow. And for anyone who didn't catch it, WE DON'T have to fly in at midnight! I'm seriously happy about that. Decided on a small splurge and will keep our reservations at the Hyatt (wasn't leaving MCO with a midnight arrival!) It now looks like DD will arrive here the evening before the flight--makes my life infinitely easier that way.

Enough gloating. It is not cold here, but a long way from pleasant (Saturday was cold and rainy). I'm ready for warm and sunny.

Question - Does anyone in FE Group 1 have any allergies? (nuts, dairy, etc) I have a few ideas for FE gifts, but want to make sure.

No allergies here!! So sorry I am just now responding!! I have been so BUSY lately!!

Getting so excited about the cruise!! I cannot believe it's almost here! I went shopping for clothes for me on Saturday with my best friend--we ended up shopping for TEN hours but I came home with a ton! I even found a formal dress for only $25!! Can't beat that!!

Oh--and so excited!! We are spending the night before the cruise at the Grand Floridian!! Can't wait!!!

11 days, 14 hours, 9 minutes, & 47 seconds!! But who's counting!! :goodvibes

Super EXCITED!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Still working on FE gifts and started packing up. The chilly weather is making me even more excited to spend some time in the sun!

Crazy me was printing off my documents Saturday night at midnight!

I will be packing today. I got some of those packing cubes and it is driving me nuts to see how much I can get in them since they seem so small and my clothes are so big!

So glad your flight got changed, it would not be fun to start the cruise off tired!

It is really cool here these last couple of days. I had to get out the jeans again after I thought they were put up for the summer. It should be hot again by the cruise. The bad part about the cooler temps is it cools the water temp. I hope CC is not to cold.

I logged onto the website and it said 10 more days. I can hardly believe it is almost here!

I know this was mentioned previously, but there seems to be quite a bit of space open on this sailing. I was just looking through the website/reservations and where I didn't click on every category, there were inside, ocaenview and verandah's all available. And there were MANY verandah's available. Maybe that will mean upgrades for some people!

We've had our cruise booked for a long time and I just decided to look where our rooms were, why I didn't do this before is beyond me. And found out we are on the very back of the ship. I am so excited about this. It seems as though we're going to have larger verandah's back there? Has anyone ever stayed in these rooms (not on Fantasy obviously) but the other ships? We have connecting rooms and are looking forward to the "removable" wall on the verandah! :cool1:

What deck are you on? We are not in aft cabins but I think the last on the side so we may be neighbors! We did not pick these cabins, but they are an upgrade from an OV GTY so we are pretty happy to have the balconies and to be side by side.:yay:

We, too, have received our assignment -- 8001. Kristie, could you please update the list for us also, in FE group 1? Also still not successful for early dinner...

We booked this cruise only three weeks ago and are unable to make any reservations on line for Palo. We have been sailing on DCL since DD19 was 7, and she loves the cruises as much as I do. This is her first cruise as an adult over 18 and we're looking forward to sharing experiences that are new to her.

I'll head to Palo once on board, but can't decide whether to try to book brunch or dinner. I haven't asked DD's preference yet, and the question may be moot as I have no idea as to availability of either.

Any input??

True Story - I saw this and thought...WHAT?? 5 DAYS!!! They must be going to WDW reeaalllllyyyyy early!! :yay: Then realized we leave in 9! Somehow my tiny mind hadn't quite wrapped itself around that, but 5 still seems WAY closer. :rotfl2:

I can't wait for DH to get back from being gone for work. He's been gone 2 weeks and it's thrown me off this time around. By the time he gets back this weekend we'll be in true countdown mode! :yay:

I keep saying to myself we were JUST at the 400+ day mark and here I am having a nervous breakdown about my first time flying on Sunday! Thankfully I got my Xanax prescription a few weeks ago, so I'll be ok I hope! :rotfl:

LADYBUGMOM - We'll be at the GF too! :thumbsup2 We're there for 2 nights prior to the cruise. We got an AP rate, and have never stayed there, so decided to go for it.
