May 5, 2012 Fantasy

I just realized that, while my suits still fit, they are both out of date and style. Can I get away with a shirt and tie with dress pants for the semi-formal or formal dinner?

Someone please say yes!

Well I will tell you that this is our 3rd Dis Cruise and the first thing off for my guys after the obligatory picture on formal night is the suit jacket! This makes me regret schlepping the suits and dress shoes (mucho valuable suitcase room!) on the boat...but I really cherish the pics of us all looking spiffy...

You will be fine in dress slacks and shirt/tie, no worries.

thanks for all the feedback on my suitless-ness issue! I appreciate it and feel much less stressed now! :thumbsup2

For the record we are also on deck 7 (although we opted out of the FE group this time)...

Question - Does anyone in FE Group 1 have any allergies? (nuts, dairy, etc) I have a few ideas for FE gifts, but want to make sure.

Thanks for asking:worship:......our little guy Matt is allergic to fish- though I doubt you planned on packing any fish in the FE goodie bags:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Not us.
Just finished making our Fish extenders and getting our gifts together. We leave for WDW in a week and a half. Can't Wait!
Gerri :)

Just noticed while checking for a cabin assignment (which I still don't have) that all the IGT and OGT are gone for the 5th and now VGT is the cheapest option. Also noticed the release of at least 2 7a cabins. Mostly everything else has gone though.

Please let me know your daughter's name. We'll have a wipe-off board on our door (#6060) in case you don't get your room assignment until embarkation day.. You'll be in group 1.

The FE list is on page 38.

Thanks for adding us. We're told we should know our stateroom assignment the week before sailing. Daughter is Robin, 19, currently a sophomore at College of Charleston, applying to transfer to Virginia Commonwealth University (yay! Instate tuition! More $$ for cruising!!!).

Are you allowed to share a Photopass onboard among several cabins? How does that work and has anyone ever done it?

One the cruise you don't technically have a "photopass" but rather it's linked to your stateroom. And if you're speaking of buying a CD and can more than one stateroom be on one, from my understanding no. What we have done in the past (and will do again) is as follows. We have two connecting staterooms and we just make sure that one of us each has one of the kids room keys. This way if our DD is with Grandma and comes across a character, they can scan it under our room because she has our daughter's key. It seemed to work last time, cause unless we're leaving the ship our 7yo DD doesn't need to carry her key, and as long as one of the adults has it we're set.
Sorry if this was more info then you asked, but got on a roll....
So excited...only a few more days!!!

Yes, this is what I meant. I have heard of un-related people doing this so I guess they must be meeting up and swiping one key and sharing photos at the end.

I apologize for all the changes that have been made to the FE list since I 'finalized' it back on March 31. I've made one really FINAL change and am closing it out TODAY. I deleted my earlier post about allowing people to join until Saturday because I feel it's really unfair to those that have already purchase/personalized their gifts since we're so close. Not to mention that the people joining late could miss out on the cool stuff (since we didn't order any extra, duh us!) Some of us are leaving the week before the cruise so I'm sure it'll be better if we can cross this off of our to-do list :)

Please check page 38 for the FINAL, FINAL FE List.

Again...so sorry about this! It's only our second cruise and I really don't know what I was thinking trying to organize this with so little experience. Thanks for all of your patience!

Kristie :goodvibes

11 more sleeps until WDW!:yay::cool1::cool2:

Ok, so the last word was that we would have our meet at 2pm on Sunday. We will leave it as is unless there are too many conflicts.

Hope to see everyone by the chair near the Bon Voyage bar just off the Atrium.

Woo hoo!!!

This refers to the rainforest room. You can purchase single day day passes on line or on board; multi-day and couples passes are on board only. (Note--a couple can be any 2 adults).

If people haven't noticed, they are selling IGT and VGT rates for our cruise--looks like we aren't as full as DCL would like us to be.

Let's hope it stays that way! Maybe we will get moved to first seating. Two one year olds are not going to do to well with dinner after their bedtime!

Work has been super busy  but 2 weeks today we will be at WDW :goodvibes I will bust out suitcases this weekend and begin to gather stuff - it's getting closer and closer and I can't WAIT!!! :beach:

2 pm at the chair works for us :thumbsup2 FE always gets frantic at the end it seems. ::yes:: I don't think it has anything to do with being an expert at organizing ;)

I don't know how scientific this is but I tried to dummy book every 'available' cabin for the 5th - I got to 40 cabins of various types and gave up. For instance when I checked 4a it lists 8 cabins available, but when I put in the cabin I was in last time (which I know was 4a) which wasn't one of these 8 it lets me assign it. So it would appear that there is a lot of capacity at the moment. As I say totally unscientific, but it would have let me book, if I had wanted to, space for around 260 people.

BTW, I was enquiring about Character Breakfasts on another forum as I read here they weren't running them on Fantasy, and someone has just posted that these WILL be commenced on Fantasy AFTER APRIL. So I guess that mean our cruise. I am hoping there is a character breakfast as I will be my first. :)

Shirt and tie will get one thru Palo and formal night, but will not cut it in Remy. (jacket required there).

2 weeks to go. On Monday I need to get myself in gear and get serious.

There seems to be a lot of availability on our cruise....should be interesting.
