Did anyone else get a refund from DCL? I noticed yesterday that I had a refund of $24.88. I've read about this happening, just have never had it happen to me before! That's a few drinks of the day right there!:thumbsup2

I got $12.44, so it has to be $6.22 per person :drinking1 I could seriously go for a drink of the day right now. I wonder if it would be bad to start a drink of the day at the office? :scratchin and I wonder if I could get anyone to bring it to me on a tray? party:

My brother and his wife are making thier final payment tomorrow...:cool1::cool1: Look out for the Seem family along with the Bartol family. It is going to be a GREAT cruise:banana::banana::banana:

When I saw our refund go in that is the exact same thought I had!!! :cheer2:

I contacted my TA (Tracey at DU) to ask about the dining rotations. Here is her email response:

Here is the dining rotation I just received from DCL (so it should be accurate!!)

1-R/A/E/R/A/E/R
2-A/E/R/A/E/R/A
3-E/R/A/E/R/A/E

Formal night is day 2, Pirates in day 4 and Semi Formal is day 6

Let me know which you would like to request.

I requested #2.:thumbsup2

Just thought some of you may want to make requests as well. :)

I requested #2 as well!!!! Seems like the perfect rotation especially if you have Palo on night#3 - we won't miss any of the special nights and get A three times!!

We have Palo on night 5, so that alone eliminated #1 for us since we didn't want to miss Animator's. My girls will be dressed in princess gowns for semi-formal night and I thought that Royal Court would be perfect for that night so we went with #2. We were successful in requesting a rotation on our prior cruises so I am hoping for the same this time!

I also called today to finally make our room request for the WDW portion of our stay. I got a super friendly and knowledgeable CM who even knew all of the Poly longhouses and how to pronounce them!!:thumbsup2

OK-so why did we get a refund? I noticed it also.

I never knew we could request our rotation. Now I need to sit down and figure this out. Do we just contact our DU agent? Is it a guarantee that you will get the requested rotation? Can you also request at this time a 2 person table (I don't remember the "code" term for this).

Anyone else planning on "running" the 5K on Castaway Cay? I've just learned about this, and am hoping to participate. We have just started training for a 5K (prior to knowing about the Castaway Cay 5K)!

I am getting so excited! Not just for the cruise but 2 weeks after the cruise we will be back at WDW with the girls (who are not going on the cruise with us) for a week vacation.

Also, how do we sign up for the room tours (are we still doing this) and how do they work?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the refund it could be fuel or other related costs re taxes/docking fees etc. :confused3

We've "talked" a lot about doing the 5K but the first time we were there it was DH's 40th birthday that actual day, and being up and off the ship bright and early rather than sipping mimosas on our balcony didn't win the battle :rotfl2: Last year we were there in July and it was so hot and humid we decided to pass again. If you have someone who is not going to run it that can take all your stuff so you can meet them then that's the way to go :thumbsup2 otherwise we've yet to figure out how we'd get a run in, get showered off and changed out of our running stuff and into beach stuff. :confused3 Maybe we're just finding excuses to go drink a konk cooler rather than burn calories.

:thumbsup2I am planning on running! Just a bit worried about how hot it might be as I am used to running in much cooler conditions! Is there somewhere on the ship to run? (apart from treadmills in the gym):)

Yes, and that's where we typically go. :thumbsup2 There is a promenade deck (it's different on the Magic v Dream/Fantasy & I don't remember the deck number) but it's signed for walking/running. There's a marker saying how far around 1 mile is and it goes completely around, including through covered areas at the front & back. In July there was some kind of breeze under the covered area that at least made you look forward to getting back to that part. :rotfl2:

Thanks Jenny!:thumbsup2: So glad that there is somewhere for me to burn off all the calories I'm likely to consume!

Do you mean May 5th of next year? I think that the Dream is sailing on May 6th this year, and this thread is actually for the May 5, 2012 FANTASY sailing.:thumbsup2

Or did you actually mean the Fantasy?

Welcome!! Assuming you mean the Fantasy?? :goodvibes

Kim - We try and do something at least twice :rolleyes1 It doesn't help much, but it's better than nothing. ;)

You have to forgive my sister inlaw. She is new. She will be on the FANTASY not the Dream. I am so excited to hang out with them at the World and on the cruise.

:rotfl: OK, so we'll cut Beth some slack seeing as that was her first ever post! :thumbsup2 How fun to have a family trip, I bet you guys are so excited! :yay: We are going on the Magic out of Galveston with my Mum and sister towards the end of the year - 1st cruise for my Mum (at 83) and 2nd cruise, but 1st DCL for my sister - I can't wait - it will be so much fun!

I keep checking for Palo brunch, but I'm sure it's an exercise in futility. :sad2: It's just an excuse to keep logging on and seeing the countdown on the DCL website. :cheer2: 11 weeks today we'll be heading to WDW for a couple of days. It's part of my quest "givedisneyasmuchmoneyasipossiblycan".

Jenny, we may be canceling our Palo Brunch, I'll let you know if we decide to.

Does anyone know what time the character breakfast is for those with late dining? And, is it the morning after your first night in Animator's?

Thanks :thumbsup2 Let me know if you decide to give it up. :goodvibes

Found this in the FAQ sticky: Character Breakfast - There is a character breakfast on the 7 day and longer cruises only. This is held the morning of the first sea day after you dine in AP [Animator's Palate]. Early seating is at 8:00/8:15 and late seating is at 9:30. The CB lasts an hour.
