And names of everyone too, please :)

Edited: Just noticed that you won't be able to PM me since you don't have enough posts. Just reply here with your info. Thanks!

Wow...sorry about all of this. I'm new to forums and just figuring it all out.

OK so I don't have the stateroom yet but there are 6 of us in our family. For FE do we just do the kids (b/c for us, the kids are the reason I'm doing this. They will be so excited). We have 4 DD:
Arleigh 5
Kennedy 4
Trevi 3
Brylee 1

I'll get you our stateroom as soon as I find out.

Thanks so much.

Happy 2012 everyone! :banana::cheer2:

Now that we've officially turned the corner and the holidays are behind us :goodvibes I am beginning to seriously mull over the excursions. Need to go online and look and see what the DCL excursions are and then do some online research. I have a love/hate relationship with excursions as I'm always wondering if I'm picking the right one!! :rolleyes1

Anyone else pondering/deciding on excursions?? :confused3

Where are you finding the listing of the excursions? We went on a DC 5 years ago when my DD was 6 mos old. I was so happy to just cruise with my baby that I didn't even look at excursions. This time I'd like to see what they offer.

The only thing we plan on doing is in St. Maarten...the sky ride. It's not through Disney but we found it online and it's only $18. That's my kind of excursion LOL!

If you want it to just be the kids, that's fine. We are participating and most other adults with children are too. It's your choice, just let me know and I'll include whoever (whomever? Lol) you want.

Getting so excited now that we are into the new year!

Has anyone heard what the different dining rotations will be? On our past cruises (both Easterns on the Magic) we requested a particular rotation. I would like to be able to do the same this time, plus it would help to know the rotations in planning what night to try to do Palo.

The DCL website has their excursions under each port. I'm drawing a blank on what they call it exactly, but if you drill down to each port they show you everything they have to offer.

We are thinking about doing an independent tour of St Martin/Marteen as I'd like to see a bit of everything and DCL doesn't offer one that includes all of the stops we'd like.

For St Thomas, I think we are going to do one of the snorkling excursions to some of the smaller islands. Still trying to decide.

Paid in full date is coming up quickly to be able to book excursions/spa etc.! :scared1:

We're thinking of doing a Bernard's tour on St Maarten. They seem to have good reviews and others on the boards have recommended them. Anyone here used them before? I really want to go to Maho Beach and I don't think any Disney excursions go.

We haven't decided on any others. We did the Castaway Ray's feeding the rays on Castaway Cay and that was really fun, but since we've done it before I think we'll just wing it that day. Any must-see's on St John?

pirate: Arrhhhh

OK sure, my husband and I will participate as well. Thanks for organizing this!

Awesome. Thanks. I'm still trying to figure this out as we're going with extended family! I'm really looking forward to this. My kids are going to die!

That's who I have looked into as well, :goodvibes and I think we are going to book with him. Overall good reviews, although some controversy on cruisecritic about a particular driver that seems to have been a fairly isolated incident. The reviews on these boards seems good though. :thumbsup2

We have booked a trip on a yacht called Random wind from St. Maarten. It gets great reviews on tripadvisor so hopefully it will be good as i didn't fancy any of the DCL excursions.
We have spent the past few evenings trying to decide what to do on St. Thomas and think we are going to go for the all day trip to Turtle cove and Honeymoon Beach thru DCL. Haven't seen many reviews for this but it sounds good. Wanted to do a DCL excursion on St. Thomas as our time there seems short and I am terrified of not being back to the port before the Fantasy sets sail!:scared1: I think I would find it too stressful to do something on our own!

Getting so excited for this trip.......only 113 days till we arrive in Florida!:yay:

I think we are going to do this one too, we liked the sound of it, and like you, I don't want to deal with traffic/ferries/transport on our own to get back in time. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2I think this is going to turn out to be a good choice! I love snorkelling but don't get the chance to do it very often. It will be DD first time. She swims well and we have been practising with the snorkel in the bath as we're not allowed them in public pools! Just bought an underwater camera too and can't wait to use it!:yay:

We borrowed one from a friend that wasn't too expensive (I don't think) on our Western cruise and now we are thinking of buying one but I don't want to pay a fortune on it so I need to start researching. What did you get? Is it one that's available in the UK and the US do you know?

I bought the Kodak Easyshare Sport C123. I got it from Amazon (£50) and I've just checked Amazon.com and it is available for $75. Like you, I didn't want anything too expensive and I think this is a good compromise between picture quality and price. I spent ages researching all the options even checking out some YouTube footage using the camera in video mode and I thought it looked good. Hope this helps for your purchase:)

Thanks, :goodvibes I took a look on Amazon and that's about what I was looking for in terms of price. I'm a bit concerned about it dying because of leakage into the battery compartment, overall that seems to be only real thing that people complain about. :)

I've been a little cruise-intense this week with research. All the float out photos and now the christening date announcement have me ready to go already!!! :cool1:

We are doing a week pre-stay at WDW Old Key West resort. We are doing the Wild Africa Trek, and my husband is doing the Richard Petty Driving experience.

I would also like to sign up for the Fish ears exchange. How do I do that? My husband Mike and I (Gerri) are traveling and we are in cabin 8570.

We are thinking of doing the hike in St. Marteen and the certified scuba dive excursion in St. Thomas. Is anyone else going diving?
I can't wait!

Please sign me up for FEs. I haven't reached 10 posts yet so I can't send a message yet.
Thanks!

Hi Gerri :wave2: We are down from you a little bit, but same side, we're in 8652.

We don't have scuba certification, so snorkling only for us. I bought the Petty Driving Experience for my DH for his 40th last year, he did it the day we got back from our 7 night Western cruise and had a blast!! They now have the exotic car experience as well, which one is your DH doing? I'm sure he'll love it. FUN for the Africa trek!! :thumbsup2 I wanted to do that in November when we were at AKL, but we had a 4 year old with us, and didn't want to do something that the whole family couldn't participate in (darn it!) It's on my "one of these days" list. :):hourglass
