If people haven't noticed, they are selling IGT and VGT rates for our cruise--looks like we aren't as full as DCL would like us to be.

There is some space for sure, I tried to upgrade my cabin last week and the lady told me that there was "quite a bit" of space although everything was in GTY status so she couldn't confirm that the cabins would be near one another and I have 2 so it didn't work for me.

Just doing my FE's and noticing that there are a lot of cabins on 6! I will be lonely on 7 :)

Interesting, I dont' ever think to check that stuff. Our 7/5 sailing on the Dream last year was full but we honestly didn't think it was that bad as far as "feeling full", here's to hoping this cruise has a nice relaxed feel about it if it isn't quite so packed. :goodvibes

3 weeks today we will be in the MK :dance3: I can smell those funnel cakes already. :cheer2:

MMMMMMMMMMMMM Funnel cakes!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I've been on many "full" or "sold out" cruises and a few relatively more empty cruises. Honestly, the only two that ever bothered me were cruises that turned into "Kids Sail Free" after our penalty date. I wouldn't choose to sail one of those again--more due to the behavior of the parents than the kids! Full is one thing; total lack of discipline is another. Fortunately most parents understand that parenting doesn't end just because you are on vacation.

OK, end of preaching. I like the ship better when it is less than totally full, but in reality it usually doesn't make a difference. DCL does a great job of scheduling activities so they overlap or conflict--forcing guests to choose which they'd like to do. That does a good job of spreading us out. The classic ships are big enough for the guest load...I trust the newer ones are the same.

If anyone is interested in ever doing high tea, book it on this cruise. As of August they will be expanding the brunch hours and eliminating tea.

I've been thinking about packing--does that count? It got really cold here in the last few days (below freezing) making it hard for me to get motivated.

Wow!! I didn't realize there was still sub-zero temps going on somewhere! ;) We are in the mid-80s here with a low in the mid-60s! Our cold weather is long gone, we can only sit through the heat until November and pray for an earlier cold front at the end of October. Then it will get REALLY chilly - maybe even into the 40's! :rotfl:

:dance3: 3 weeks TODAY!!! :dance3:

I am not ready to start packing. The last couple of times I've packed over a couple of weeks, but my brain isn't good at that. Even though I have a check list, I forget what I've done and what I haven't and I find myself stressing over whether I really DID packed it, or not. :rolleyes1 I'm better doing it all in one go. Shorter memory span is needed, so it works better for me. :rotfl2:

I just realized that, while my suits still fit, they are both out of date and style. Can I get away with a shirt and tie with dress pants for the semi-formal or formal dinner?

Someone please say yes!

There are lots of opinions on these boards about what is and is/not appropriate. So, taking opinion out of it, from what I have witnessed, you will be just fine!! ;) :thumbsup2

ETA: This wasn't intended as negative at ALL, hope it doesn't read that way, but when I re-read it, it might. So thought I would just add, that I don't have an opinion either way! LOL Scott has worn a suit, and has just worn dress pants, with a shirt and tie. Both times he fit in equally well.

While our cruise only had a semi formal on our cruise last year, shirt and tie is def ok for semi. Hubby only JUST NOW decided he is taking his jacket for formal night....

YES - Whilst this will be only my second Disney cruise I am a Diamond Cruiser on Royal Caribbean and what I can tell you is, wear what you feel comfortable in (as long as it isn't offensive, obviously). I have seen people in Jeans and T-Shirts on Formal nights.

I have always historically worn full black tie, but to be honest I am considering not doing so this time. It's a lot to carry for what amounts to a couple of hours wearing it.

On the 4 nighter I did in January I tended to wear Jeans and a Polo shirt to dinner and on the 'semi-formal' night I wore Dark Denim, Shirt and Shoes and and no one said anything (at least not to my face :) ) and I had people at my table wearing anything from a suit to a t shirt.

I haven't followed the thoughts of others on this forum about formal wear, but I thought we had ditched any semblance of a class system on cruise ships some time back.

DH and I are just off the Fantasy MV and loved it. I learned about the IGT offer last week and since DD19 will be finished with finals May 2, I've booked the May 5 Fantasy for the 2 of us. She hasn't been on the newer ships and will be absolutely delighted. We can't wait!!

I haven't read every page of this meet -- is there a place I can find names/ages/stateroom #s/FE list?

Please let me know your daughter's name. We'll have a wipe-off board on our door (#6060) in case you don't get your room assignment until embarkation day.. You'll be in group 1.

The FE list is on page 38.

Question - Does anyone in FE Group 1 have any allergies? (nuts, dairy, etc) I have a few ideas for FE gifts, but want to make sure.

Can you please reply to this thread with your child(ren)'s gender? Part of my FE gift includes a gender specific gift (for children 12 and under) and I want to make sure I don't assume incorrectly! :)

For example:

MANDMDUO
Mackenzie 4 Daughter
Makayla 3 Daughter

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I appreciate your help in advance!!
