I'm sure that packing advice isn't what you're looking for, but I will tell you that the BEST advice I have ever gotten for cruising was to purchase a cheap clear over-the-door pocket shoe organizer. You know the kind you get from wal-mart or target. Since the disney staterooms have two bathroom doors, I bring two and hook to the top of each door hanging on the outside. You'll be surprised at how much it helps with storage and organizing!! I keep everything in them from jewelry to sunblock to toothpaste and I let my girls have the bottom two rows for storing toys, stickers, etc.

I would LOVE to hear from others; What is the ONE item you will not cruise without??

This is the best idea ever. I'm buying two.

We have Palo on night 5, so that alone eliminated #1 for us since we didn't want to miss Animator's. My girls will be dressed in princess gowns for semi-formal night and I thought that Royal Court would be perfect for that night so we went with #2. We were successful in requesting a rotation on our prior cruises so I am hoping for the same this time!

I also called today to finally make our room request for the WDW portion of our stay. I got a super friendly and knowledgeable CM who even knew all of the Poly longhouses and how to pronounce them!!

I tried booking palo as soon as it was available for us to start booking and absolutely nothing was available.

So disappointed.

I am also on GTY status and waiting...checking every day but nothing yet!

We are also waiting on a GTY, 3 of them actually. What cat are you, we are 9C.

I will never book a gty again, it is to nerve wracking.

I've done magnets a couple of ways. Print straight onto magnet paper and then cut out, which is probably the easiest, but I have to use my inkjet to take the magnet paper, and it's not the best quality. I've also printed out onto photograph paper, much nicer looking, and then stuck magnets on the back. This time I'm going to try a combo print onto photo paper and then spray mount to magnet paper and cut out. I don't have too many to make, I am accumulating them from different cruises.

Great idea! I'm going to steal shamelessly....I was disappointed with the print quality of the magnet paper. This is our first Disney cruise, so lots of creating left to do!

Not sure on bigger boats but there were none (or sold out) on the Magic last year. If u need some let me know we're at wdw the week before, I'll pick you some up

We don't have stateroom numbers but I think I will pass. I have 6 grandkids to try and help get ready for this so I am about spent out. Pirate nights, one want to dress up as Belle, plus all the regular new clothes they need for the cruise. We are a party of 14, we will be the ones with the 'screamer' melting down at late seating!

We don't have stateroom numbers but I think I will pass. I have 6 grandkids to try and help get ready for this so I am about spent out. Pirate nights, one want to dress up as Belle, plus all the regular new clothes they need for the cruise. We are a party of 14, we will be the ones with the 'screamer' melting down at late seating!

Don't fret we'll be there with you at late dinner with a melt down of our own...actually the kids clubs folks pick up the little ones 1/2 or so after dinner commences so there is very little fuss.

On the dress up front I have several Princess (Aurora, Ariel and Tiana) dresses (too small for my DD now(size 3-5)) that I can throw in the suitcase if anyone wants them...the only thing is I don't want them back

I have spent all day making DD a countdown calendar..........beats doing housework!!!!!
What I really should be doing is finishing my FE which I started about 7 months ago! Better get a move on as not long to go now

We'll see you there I am bringing my Dad for his 65th birthday to Disneyworld before the cruise for the first time and I can't wait, he'll be there with his grandkids and his child for the first time, talk about MAGICAL!

Kim - I was just thinking about you this morning, did you give your camera the dunk test yet? I'm still pondering and wondered if you had tried it underwater to see if it would leak? (some of the reviews said that they had leaks, but got a replacement camera).
