May 4, 2013 Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Hello All!

I must confess that I've read this thread a few times and was hesitant to post thinking it might "jinx" our being able to go.:rotfl:

We are:
April, 41
Carlos, 43
Aurora, 10 (on cruise)
Lily, 7 (on cruise)
hometown: Wheaton, IL (just outside of Chicago)

Our last cruise was 2004 on the Wonder. We've been trying to go back ever since!

Our stateroom is 8006 and we have the late dinner seating

Our girls are a little shy and I'm hoping that they can get to know the other kids.

Welcome aboard!!

I've been stalking for a while, so I guess it's time I introduce myself! My name is Jennifer. My DH and I are taking our 7 year old son on the Fantasy 5/4/13!! We have cruised before he was born (never on DCL so its a first for all of us!:cool1:)so this will be our son's first cruise and we are super excited! We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary while on board, so we are looking forward to this cruise for many reasons!

I wanted to know, by eating one night in the specialty restaurants, are we going to miss any fun activities in the dining room? DH and I were thinking of having our anniversary dinner in Palo, but I don't want to miss any fun activities!

Thank you!

Your second night in AP is really fun. You draw characters and they put them on the screens woven into Disney animation. Also pirates nite is fun as the waiters dress up and so do lots of the cruisers. pirate:

Okay, I am anxiously awaiting Southwest to post their schedule for May 2013!!!! Duh, don't they realize some of us are anxious for our vacations and want to get the little details out of the way????!!!!;)

This last week is one I don't want to repeat...My mother had rotator cuff surgery so stayed for us a week, and while I was caring for her, my son tore his ACL, MCL and compressed his knee and now needs surgery this week....Calgon take me away!!!!:(

Hope everyone else's week was better!:thumbsup2

Hello, friends!

This will by my third Disney cruise (my husband's second), but we are just now learning about the DISboards community! We cruised on the Magic for our honeymoon, and we loved it so much that we immediately booked another as soon as we got home. We're also really excited about fish extenders - We are Disney World Cast Members, so we're hoping to contribute some extra special magic!

I love that there is a community where I can geek out about our cruise with other excited vacationers!

Here is our roll call info:

Laura (28) and Ben (26)
Clermont, Florida
Stateroom 2013
Second Dinner Seating

Happy cruising! :goodvibes

I used to be a Cast Member (via ABC), and my Dad was a WDW cast member a REALLY long time ago.

This is our first Disney Cruise. We are travelling with children and grandchildren. We will be looking for people who like to play bridge. Do you play?

Hey everyone. Due to a scheduling conflict we are sliding our cruise a week prior and now going on the Western Caribbean leaving April 27. Have a great cruise and maybe we'll see you with big smiles at the pier as we walk of the ship with frowns!:wave2:

Hi All...

My husband and I just sailed on The Magic over the weekend on "the cruise to nowhere". We rebooked on board for the May 4th Fantasy cruise and we are soooo excited. Only 264 days to go.

We are huge Disney fans and sailed on The Dream the last 2 years. 4 days just isn't enough so we can't wait to live The Fantasy! :)

Please allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Tiffany, DH is Chuck (ty_n_cy), we have 3 children (13,7,6 at time of the cruise). We are from Morris County, NJ and have the late dining seating.

I haven't had a chance to read through the thread and I'm amazed that it's 19+ pages already.

I can't wait to get to know you all before our cruise. I absolutely love meeting new people on the cruises and feel the relationships that are made on here are absolutely wonderful.

What are your thoughts on handmade skull bead bracelets for kids for a pirate night FE gift. Someone mentioned beads are not a good idea because of the possibility of a choking hazard.

I also have treat bags I'll fill with candies and princess and pirate stickers but I'd like to include a bracelet. Just concerned that it might not be appropriate.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sorry you won't be joining us -- but wish you a great time! Take care of that ship for us :goodvibes

Just to update our info...we changed rooms to 5150!! Yay! Our room has a HUGE veranda!
Congratulations! We're in 5656 with one of the oversized balconies -- can't wait! I've heard that 5150 and 5650 are really huge!

Yeah, I knew about 5150 and 5650 have the especially large verandas, but they weren't available when we booked. I was just randomly goofing around on the DCL website checking to see if the prices had gone up and I saw that 5150 was available so I called my travel agent right away and grabbed it. Yay! I'm bummed to be be on the starboard side again, but I think the size of the veranda will make for it. Who knows? Maybe our trip will be one of the rare occasions when the ship pulls into CC instead of backing in...;)
