May 4, 2013 Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

We will also be on this cruise. My DH and I loved Palo for brunch and dinner last year on the Dream. We are getting ready to sail on Mother's Day on the Dream.

So excited, only 1 year away now! We [Mary (Mom), Kris (Dad), Nate (8) and Kris (6)] have been on 2 cruises with DCL, this will be our 3rd. The kids don't know about it yet, couldn't stand a whole year of "is it time yet?". :rotfl2: We booked this cruise while on our last one and just upgraded to a room with a verandah today, we have plenty of time to save up (in theory). :thumbsup2 Can't wait to get to know all of you! Now if we could get time to hurry up just a little bit.

One year mark - YAY! I love looking at the tickers in our thread that all say ONE YEAR!

After spending almost the entire day in the car driving to NJ to visit my brother - sure is nice to get on here to celebrate the official ONE YEAR countdown!!! :cool1::dance3::cool1:

One year from now I hope to be pleasantly enjoying our first evening on board, possibly taking an after dinner stroll on deck 4 with a nice fruity tropical drink in hand :thumbsup2 And then going to one of the clubs to try to dance off some dinner calories, or at least maybe that tropical drink :rotfl:

Less than 365 Days to go....Yesterday while sitting at a track meet with my husband I asked him if he realized one year from today we would be on our vacation!!!! I think he also got a little excited thinking about it (it sometimes is hard to get him excited about much). So....when is the time when we talk meets and fe's? :rolleyes1

Haha. Now? :rotfl:

I know it's too early yet!!!!! I guess I will just focus on scrapbooking out last cruise and making some cool magnets for our door right now......

I've been excited ever since we booked the trip 6 months ago! My wife thinks I'm crazy though.

First time Disney Cruise, and I'm told we need a FE thing for our fish. Anyone have any recommendations for where to get one? Yes, I know it's still a little early to start buying things for the cruise, but we gotta do something to pass the time!!!

You only need a fish extender if someone organizes a FE exchange. We didn't do one on our other cruise. It was only a 3 day so no time for something like that. No one here has mentioned an exchange yet, but it's still early. You can buy extenders on places like etsy.com or you can make your own.

Good morning all.

Have been considering this cruise on and off for awhile.

We did our first cruise on disney back in 2005 and have done about 8 carnival cruises since but we are celebrating our 25th anniversay and mortgage burning so figured I wanted to check out the new ship.

Been to WDW more times then I can possibley count and going back in January but I guess I need to get my ticker added to my signature.

We are Kim will be uugghhh 47 and DH Mike will be 50 when we cruise. Not bringing the kids. They are right now 22 and 19 so they can stay home :)
Plus I am the disney fanatic in the family, DH always says he comes along to carry the suitcases but I think I have converted him:thumbsup2

Look forward to going back and reading up on everyone and seeing what is different from when I last cruised with Disney.

For those who have cruised recently are you still allowed your own alcohol on the ship? DO they automatically add the tips yet or do you still have to have them added to your card?

Kim

Welcome aboard!

It has been a couple years since my last DCL cruise but my understanding is yes, you absolutely can bring your own alcohol on board. I'm sure we will grab at least a couple bottles of wine to bring along.:thumbsup2

I know there was a recent change to the way tips are being done, but I will leave that to someone else who has cruised recently to explain that.

Thanks for the welcome and the information.

Actually did just read that the tips are automatically added. They never use to do that and we ended up in a big line up the last morning to have them added cause we assumed....wrongly... that they where added:confused3

We are finally booked we are on deck 6 port side.!!!!

Wahooo, time to start saving:scared1:

Hi Everyone......Some bad news....we are out of this cruise......We have moved our cruise up two weeks....Dw wants to cruise by way of SAN JUAN. Hope You All have a great cruise.

Oh no!!

Well enjoy your cruise two weeks earlier! You'll have to give us feedback and tips as we start packing for our adventure!

Great! We are deck 6 starboard side! We wanted a greater chance of being able to see Castaway Cay from our balcony.

So sorry you had to change cruises but at least you don't have to cancel:thumbsup2

Old San Juan is nice I have been there twice on Carnival cruises. We did each fort on each trip. Very European looking.

We where given 6078 but everything I read said you want to be on the starboard side so we have changed to 6578::yes::
