May 3rd-10th****Dis Maytees-May Magic send off

I got my documents from my TA yesterday (along with a trivia book to enjoy on the trip). I just ordered the last of my FE gifts.

I am so excited.

It's going to be crazy busy for the next two weeks. I'm traveling on business this week. I'm running a marathon next weekened. Not much time. It will go by wonderfully fast.

Hope your weekends are wonderful.

I am bumping this up so that Sinaspice, who just posted over on the main Cruise board can find it.......

I've always wanted to do jury duty, but the only time I got drawn, I was quickly excluded from the pool. I'm a geek . . .

You are not the only geek! I want to do jury duty too, what is a few days off work? It must be the part of me that loves Law & Order :)

I'm frankly posting just to marvel at my ticker. :rotfl2: :cool1:

:rotfl: That's great! It is getting unbelievably close!

DH and I drove by the airport today and I kept complaining about how we can't just go yet. I'm also happy to report that I went to JC Penney and Target (had to drive 2 hours to the US) and got some awesome deals. I got several shirts and even a new dress for half price. I hadn't intended on getting something specific for semi-formal night, but now I have one! Now I just need to decide on DH's outfits...

I will probably try to do little things several times over the cruise if we don't have assigned days. That means that I might try to do notes; however, it is just as likely that I will just stick a gift in. Tell kids that it is from the "fish fairy" (smiel).

I picked up another small item tonight. A few other things, and I will be done.

Packing begins tomorrow. WOOHOO!

LOL...ok so I'm still not sure if we're 'fish fairy' or putting our names. I'm fine with "Fish Fairy"...AND, my fish extender came yesterday... :) It's smaller than I thought it would be, but I LOVE IT and my husband likes it too. If I get a chance, :lmao: i'll take a pic and scan it in.

THANKFULLY, I'm mostly packed....me and the kids. My husband hasn't done anything...he'll be last minute as usual. Considering I'm on business (in Orlando, ironically) the 3 days before we actually LEAVE for Orlando, he's got one weekend (since there's no doubt nothing will happen this weekend).

On a post-cruise note...I was SO PSYCHED to find out that my Sesame Place passes will get us in to the new Aquatica (Sea World's water park) for Free! We were wondering last year while they were building it if that was going to be the case. PSYCHED to check it out!

I know exactly what you mean! One year, I let DH pack for vacation on his own, and he packed no underpants at all! Another time, we went (just to my in laws) for the weekend and discovered that when I had asked him to pack a bag for himself, he packed everything I had asked for myself :teacher: ... and for him... a grocery bag with underpants and socks in it. We (myself and DMIL were dying with laughter!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Now, I take full responsibility for packing! :laundy:

Aquatica will be so fun! I hope this link works for you... the pictures are excellent: http://www.allearsnet.com/blogs/lindamac/2008/02/ready_seaworlds_waterpark_aqua.html

I know I'm a little late but I just found this great place by accident. My family and I are on the cruise as well as I just found out the meeting place and time on board. I hope we are welcome and are you wearing anything special to spot one another. Thanks, I look forward to meeting all of you.

Geek #3 here! I've also been dissapointed to be called for jury duty and not had my number selected. :guilty: I was consoled by DH, a journalist who used to cover federal court for the Baltimore Sun, who informed me that most jury cases are much more mundane than those you see on Law & Order, and most lawyer far more verbose and far less physically appealing!

Must be a guy thing! Study this picture and see if you notice what DH forgot to pack last year on our 3 night that we had to spend an hour shopping for in Nassau...

Yes, I've made him his own personal packing checklist this year!

Welcome aboard, sinaspice! We will be meeting in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 on embarkation day before the safety drill to get to know one another; hope to see you there. We're also trying to wear green rubber bracelet to spot one another on board! :thumbsup2

BTW, for you parents with Playhouse Disney fans at home...surprised DS with a trip to the Baltimore Lyric Opera House to catch the Doodlebops on the last stop of their national tour. He LOVED it! I have to say, those kids put on a terrific show. As a former musical theatre performer, myself, I marvelled at their stamina, performing number after number of all out dancing and singing with very little rest for patter in between. Very impressive! If your kids love the Doodlebops, I definitely recommend catching them the next time they come around!

I agree. My DH's suitcase is empty. What is it with these men? He keeps saying we have one more weekend. I can't even get him to try on any of his dress stuff to make sure he has something that still fits.

I've been packing like crazy. I'm pretty much packed. I haven't totally finished packing the kids as they still need their underwear and shorts. :lmao: I told them I was packing their shorts this next Sunday and they can wear whatever is left in the drawers for the 4 days before we leave. I'll have to see how many pairs of underwear they have or may pick up a package for each of them.

Here we go just one more trip to walmart. Everytime we have anything going on I feel like we should just camp out in the walmart parking lot. I could just get out of the truck and walk across the parking lot. I mean you end up there almost every day and I love it when you forget the item that started the trip to begin with. :lmao:

Only one pair of shoes traveled with you? :goodvibes

I'm like you! We visit Walmart quite often and now that we had a Walmart Superstore open down the hwy... we seem to be going there on weekends too.

I told them I was packing their shorts this next Sunday and they can wear whatever is left in the drawers for the 4 days before we leave.

This is so funny because it is precisely what I did to my children this weekend. Next weekend has a number of activities for my family. So, I did a mountain of laundry this weekend and picked out clothes for all of us. Told the kids not to touch it. They can wear winter clothes if they have to :-)

This weekend I struck out on the shoes hunt... and bought yet ANOTHER fancy dress. $18 at Ross, and it's washable. Mine!

I haven't unpacked from the last trip, so does that count? I left the swimsuits and such in the case, knowing they were fine where they were. The tux is hanging up together, and we'll dry clean DH's suit on the boat.

The dog has her reservation at the doggie spa (aka, kennel to us human types, but "spa" is what she thinks of it!) and needs her bordatella dose this week.

I have other odds and ends to go... I'm soooo ready to be getting on the plane. :thumbsup2

You are more than welcome!!!!!!!! We can't wait to meet you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll notice I posted on your "packing" thread. I hear ya. :laundy:

On another note, I'm just wondering....... who is leaving first? I realize that slowly we are going to lose members of the thread as the cruise gets closer, who leaves home first? We don't leave until after work at 4 pm on May 2.

We are heading to our night before flight hotel on May 1st. Fly out morning of the 2nd. My last day of work is the 30th. I am really starting to get stressed and excited. :cool1:

I'm thinking the couple from the Netherlands will be the first to get to Orlando. I want to say they're going for 3 weeks, and one of the weeks is our cruise?

Unfortunately my family and I are flying out the same day as the cruise. I couldn't get off from work and as a matter of fact I have to call in sick that day because the flight is so early. I am so excited!

I know I'm a little late since I found this wonderful board by accident. But I want to participate as much as I can but I don't have much time. I know the meeting time and place, and also about wearing green wrist bands to identify one another. Can someone fill me in on some other things that are taking place. Thanks!
