May 3rd-10th****Dis Maytees-May Magic send off

I think I was main seating all along...at least that's what Kylie told me when I booked it. But in any event, I'm glad we worked it out...

And for the cruise, I'll be living vicariously through your ticker since mine won't reflect the cruise for quite sometime (too many other trips ahead of it). :cool1:

Right, Dawn, my family was waitlisted into Second... We'll be riding your coattails into Main! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!!
Brandie

Brandie,

Lisa, Karen, Robin, Nina and Barbara and I have decided to give second seating a go on this cruise. We enjoyed first seating and for the 2 of us it was fine. Our friends tend to be later eaters than we are and now that Lisa knows that snacks of the healthy kind are READILY available she is all for later seating. So, we will go with what the majority of our group prefers and do second.

We are also hoping to have several meals of all sorts...dinner, brunch and tea in Palo.

Hey all!

We will be on the 5/3/08 western cruise also. We did our first Disney cruise on 4/28/07 (eastern)(kids first cruise ever). I never thought we would book Disney more than once before the cruise but, we had such a great time we had to book again. Worth every penny. This was my 6th cruise and I was so impressed with Disney. We all had a blast including my 12 year old who thought Disney was going to be too "baby" for her. It was hard when the cruise ended because the kids do not know that they are going again next May. They will find that out at Christmas.

We were also on the 4/28/07 and now we are rebooked for the 5/03/08!! We had such a great time as well! We originally rebooked a "dummy date" (nov. 2008) planning to change it to late spring 2009, but once we got home we decided to change it to next year - we just can't wait 2 years!! Gotta love the rebooking discount and stateroom credit! I also transfered our reservation to Dreams Unlimited and got a $200 stateroom credit with them as well.

The eastern was our first cruise ever, and we are excited to try the western next! We are trying to talk some friends of ours into going with us in 2009, and we want to see which cruise we like the best.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the next year!

Heya!!! :cool1:

I'm glad you guys have joined us, Mary and Danielle!

Mary, what a great Christmas present! But how in the world are you going to keep silent until then??? :)

Anybody got a theme for our sailing? I'm still without ideas. "Not too hot, Not too cold, not too windy, not too much money" is the best I've thought of.

Is there anything that you're really looking forward to on this cruise? I think I'm looking forward to a "Do-Over" cruise where I get the benefit of the Lessons Learned from our first cruise! I was toooo stressed my first time! *grin* This time, there will be more Konk Koolers, and less packing for all contingencies!

*grin* *wave*
Brandie

Brandie,

Did you say Konk Kooler???????

Only 358 days until that will happen. What say we have our first at the DIS meet that we will just have to plan.

As for a theme....I will think on that. Right now this is the "4/22/07 reunion and friends" cruise. Are Cat and Chuck joining us?

I think it is so cool that so many of us from our first cruise are sailing together on our next cruise.

Mary and Danielle, I look forward to getting to know both of you in the next 358 (but who's counting....LOL) days and meeting you onboard.

Linda

I just sent Cat a PM inviting her and hers to join us.

*mmmmm* Kooonk Kooooolers.... :rotfl:

I just found a cruiser that is on a cruise RIGHT NOW that has the Walt suite for our cruise. I sent her a PM to join us. :thumbsup2

Pretty wild that I just happened across her signature and did the math...

We're booked for May 3, 2008 as well. This will be our first Disney cruise and first cruise together with the kids. I have two boys that will be age 8 and 5 on the cruise. I'll be 37 and DH will be 36.

I kinda wish that Disney had more port options in the Caribbean (don't really want to go to Key West or Coz a third time) but I am sure that we will enjoy ourselves regardless. It's a cruise, after all :yay: and we haven't yet been to Grand Cayman. We were considering the Costa Maya cruise in October 2008 but I decided that I'd rather pull the kids out of school at the end of the year rather than at the start.

:)

Hiya, Meig! Glad you've joined us!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Boy do we ever need a bump. We've passed the one year mark; aren't you all excited? Let's hear a shout out from anyone who's still psyched :yay:

We just made some major puchases on our Disney Visa; can't wait to get the rewards dollars!

Hey Bobbi! Sorry we haven't been in touch- been dealing with my Grandmother who suffered from a stroke last year, plus the normal craziness of life. Lost your e-mail but shoot me one at jdabi9700@yahoo.com so we can get the boys together again.

Happy Mother's Day to you and all the Mom's out there!

I hope everyone had great Mother's Days, even if you weren't the one being celebrated!

Hubby did ~real good~ this year... I'm going to have to work hard for Father's Day, because he set the bar so high! :thumbsup2 My gift from Fiona and hubby was a chocolate spa kit, and he gave me time to use it ALONE, without a toddler looking for the included cookies! :cool1:

*wave* Have a great day, everyone!

Brandie,

I had a wonderful Mother's Day, cooking a big dinner for Mom, Dad and several of my siblings and their families. There were 14 of us for lunch, and it was wonderful. Mom knew I was coming, but not the rest of the gang. She was SO surprised. We had a variety of appetizers including shrimp cocktail, rib eye steaks, asparagus, corn on the cob, twice baked potatoes, with banana pudding and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Needless to say we all rolled away from the table.

Throughout dinner we told stories about our favorite memories growing up, all the music lessons, funny things that became family traditions, Christmas morning memories, and stuff like that. We sat around the table for hours. Then we had a high spirited game of Taboo. It was good to see Mom laugh for hours. She has had a rough few weeks health wise, and is just now feeling more like herself.

I have to say, it was one of the best Mother's Day celebrations our family has had.

Have a great day,

Linda

We liked the Costa Maya cruise(would really haved liked to visit CC twice) also but, not the time of year. We also did not want to pull kids out of school then and don't want to sail during hurricane season. We did our first family cruise on Disney on 4/28/07. I hope you enjoy your first as much as we did--so much that we had to book again for next year. I have not been to Key West but, I have been to GC and Cozumel 2x each. GC is fantastic! Great snorkeling.

I am glad everyone had a nice Mother's Day. We deserve it! :)

My kids have 7 more days of school. We are all ready for summer break!

Mary,

So glad to hear that you and the family will be joining our little gang on this cruise. As it gets closer, we will plan a DIS meet, looking forward to meeting you.

MEIG-You guys will have a blast! It's so much fun...Like several on this post, we did the 4/22 4-night Wonder cruise and it was just amazing! I, too, have been to a couple of the ports before (Cozumel & Grand Cayman), but DH hasn't so I'm sure it'll be fun. Your kids will love the Oceaneer's Club & Lab...by the time the cruise was over, my two (4 now, 5 for the next one) couldn't get enough of it!

Twins? I have twin boys that will be 6 by the cruise.

Does everyone have passports already? I have to get them for my kids. We held out for this last cruise. I am going to start getting them next week and get one at a time. I had to make up a story to tell my kids because this cruise is a Christmas present. I think they bought it lol. I told them that if we want to go anywhere on a plane we might need one so, let's get them now so we don't have to worry about it.

Yes, they're twins and yes we have our passports already. We had gotten them because when we booked the 4/07 cruise it was required...then they changed the rules. Better to have and not need than need and not have though so, we're all set!
