May 30, 2009 - Western Cruise Magic

I have plenty of magnet stuff from last year to put on our door but I want just a few more... I have been to 2 of our local Home Depots and their Mickey head paint chips aren't like the ones I saw on someone's door. The head is pasted on another rectangular paper. I have been watching them for a long time. I want to say that they used to be just the head but have changed in the past year or so. Maybe too many of them kept disappearing! I guess I could cut them out but that seems like too much trouble.

Also, we have a cat 12 and main dining. Have a great weekend!

I don't know if they've changed since I made mine for the last cruise (Aug 08) but mine were mickey heads with cardboard backing. I thought they were too thick to laminate like I wanted to do- so I just peeled off the cardboard backing. LOL
Hey, it worked! They actually peel off pretty easily.

I hate it didn't work out for you. I really like it on me and I'm definitely not a model. I'll try to PM you the same thing again.

Are you short? Cause I am. I'm not sure if that's part of the reason? LOL The dress doesn't seem too long really-it's just the top is too low unless I really pull it up A LOT to keep it from being so low cut in front. Maybe it's just that I'm not used to lowcut in the front... atleast not that low! I mean OMG I have no idea how I'd wear a bra with that and my girls can't go without a bra. you feeling me? LOL I'll keep messing around with them closer to the cruise and see if I can figure out one of the looks that is okay on me. I'm HOPING to have lost quite a bit more weight by then so maybe I'll like them better then. Atleast I didn't spend much on them.

I'm still trying to get this cruise sorted out....it's DD's high school graduation cruise. 4 of us are "certain," 2 are in flux as they still don't know when their last day of school will be. However, we have a couple of "alternate guests" if any of our originals have to drop out.

Somehow, it's hard to focus on the cruise with things so "up in the air." The school board meeting is next week, and supposedly the schedule will be finalized at that time. Oh well.....we'll know soon.

Are we having a fish exchange group? Or...I guess what I mean is has anyone organized one yet? Are we planning a Dis-meet?

Wow- they haven't even figured out the schedule for this year yet? Our schools always have all that figured out thru the year BEFORE the year starts! I don't think I'd like not knowing how the schedule would be even in March! yuck!

We have not booked any excursions.We plan to do the GPS walking tour of Key West on our on (coupon on the Key West web site where everyone is getting trolley coupon). We enjoyed walking last time we were there.It's only 2 miles wide and a beautiful walk.Son loved telling everyone he walked across Florida LOL.

We're booked for Dolphinarius through DCL for the 9:30a.m. excursion.

I picked up my lime green Mickey heads at Home Depot today. I was just planning to cut them out, too. Maybe laminate them.

I'm glad someone else is going to Dolphinaris, too. I picked this one through DCL because my DGD is only 7 and the min age for this is 5. She gets to do more than just the encounter. You get a belly ride, too. The ones at Dolphin Discovery are for 8 and up.

OK, I'll rethink the Mickey heads. I picked up some the last time I was there but haven't seen them since. I'll look for them and see if I can peel them off.

luvdmouse57, if you want, we could ride together on the bus on the island excursion. Do you have any little ones? I'm travelling with my DD and DGD 7. I think the one I booked is from 12:00-4:00. They had one other from 8:00-12:00. I thought that one was just a bit too early for us. Well, me, anyway, because I work evenings and am used to staying up until 12 or 1am.

Does anyone scrapbook? I bought a bunch of stuff before the cruise last year. But I have never done one before and a friend at work was supposed to help me get started. For one reason or another, we never got together yet. Yesterday I was reading the scrapbook thread on this forum and someone has pics of a page posted on her door for all her DIS friends to sign. I think this is something I'd like to do. Would you all sign my page if I put one up? Not that I need anything else for my door... I need another cabin, just for all my magnets. I guess I could decorate the inside, too.

We just got our schedule for next year for school, gosh, you would think that would have been done a long time ago!

Just got confirmation that we are staying 1 night in a studio at Kidani and 2 nights in a 1 bdr. at Jambo as AKV for the 27-29th! It'll be our first time staying on property. A friend of mine owns DVC so I'm going to babysit for her in exchange for the free nights-woo-hoo!!! That being said I'm not looking forward to switching rooms after 1 night and am hoping for something to open up.

We're planning to arrive at WDW on 5/28 and then head over to the port on 5/30 for the cruise. Only 2 days at the parks, but then it's on to a wonderful cruise!

We are arriving on May 24th and staying in a villa off property. Never had a 2 week vacation before!!! We are so pumped!

I think all Cat. 12's are GTY, I don't think they assign them. My goodness, if I count right that is 24 12's just here on the Dis.....that is incredible. Well, we should certainly see lots of pixie dust here....... .........so we should have assignments about April 30th or so, right!!

Last cruise I sailed 12 GTY and it popped up on the Disneycruise website at 10:00 am 30 days before sailing. I got my luggage tags in the mail 2 weeks later.
