I might be sick, but poor little Annie has parvovirus and is currently at the Vet's.
After spending the time and money on her Monday, we found out that she has an owner on Tuesday. So I called him. EXCEPTIONALLY rude person who I shouldn't have given any information out to but did because it was his daughter's pet. Considering he tells me later that they just got it on Friday and it got lost that night....uh huh! Anyway, when Tom tells him about the vet bill, he goes ballistic and wants US to pay him for the dog!
$150.00!!!!!
Tom was very understanding and calm but firm in making the man understand that a witness had seen the dog in the area for a "long while" and the dog was starving when we got her to the vet and 3 lbs underweight for her size. ETC ETC. The guy argued that the dog was only a year old - she's really 6-8 years, and in great health, etc, etc...Tom told him to call the vet and ask for himself about the dog's condition.
The guy started screaming threats then told Tom to "$!%@$%^@^@$%^($%(%&U#($%*@(^*" himself and "keep the $%(@$%*^@)$^*@)%(^*@$%^)%$ dog"
So I went past the house where the man said he lived and it was a real dump, lots of dogs in the fenced yard - all types. Very dirty and very nasty looking place and animals. Glad Tom spoke to him and we ended up with Annie.
Anyway, Annie was very sick yesterday. Today our vet says she has parvovirus - which is deadly. He is treating her but says that at her age (6-8 years old) and very poor health condition, she has a slim chance to make it. But at least she has a chance and we are willing to take that chance to save her.
After all, she didn't come into our lives for no reason. Vet says she had to get it from living in those unsanitary conditions and having NO current vaccinations and he will take action regarding the other dogs this lowlife has.
Anyway, our indoor cat (Mr. Bumpy) and our indoor or outside on a chain dog (Kira) will be fine since I get them every vaccination available and we have a very clean home and yard.
Anyway, during all this fiasco with the lowlife, my Mom's car is parked in front of my house and ends up with a flat tire. Now doesn't that sound coincidental?! But our mechanic says it was a screw not a deliberate puncture - so that made us feel better!!!
Seems like this week has been enough to last me for a very long time.
Going to bed real soon with my second favorite man (Stuart Woods) - I'm reading his book "Deep Lie" right now and I think I need some prayer time also!!!
Love to you all!!!
And no more excitement on my end til we cruise, okay?!!!!!
