May 2nd Pirate & Princess Party - Anyone?

Just bought our May 2nd P&P party tickets yesterday! We've got a dinner ADR at Whispering Canyon.... (that was the closest restaurant I could find to MK for dinner before the party starts, everything else was booked solid!!)

Anyone else?

May 2nd P & P party here too! I am a bit worried about it being on a Friday evening though.....I made that mistake with MNSSHP a couple of years ago. It was an absolute mad house. A CM told me it was busy because it was a Friday evening. I am going to this party only because it is the only one offered during our stay (April 30-May 6)

We're going. Everyone is super-excited!

I'm hoping that what everyone says about ride times and general crowd levels will ring true. DH HATES crowds so this is going to be our MK time.

Same for us... it was our only option. But I think it will be OK. We were at MNSSHP on Halloween night in 2006 and it wasn't bad. But we aren't really there for the big rides anyway, I'm more interested in the special events, the parade, the fireworks, etc, not standing in line for Space Mountain... I can do that any day.

We'll be there!!!! It's our first P&P party. We are sooooo excited. We have a 5:05 ADR for LTT. We've been to MVMCP and had a great time. It's the only party during our trip also. We're arriving in WDW on the 27th but will be at US/IOA on the 25th.

Ok, don't ya all yell at me at the same time, but what is the Princess & Pirate Party exactly? My husband says "NO WE ARE NOT GIVING DISNEY ANOTHER DIME TO PLAY IN THE PARK", "WE WILL DO A DIFFERENT PARK THAT DAY!" Can any of you explain the details?
