May 28, 2009 Wonder Cruise - Anyone Else?

Hi Everyone - its great to see this thread humming - lots of new faces - this is going to be soooo much fun.

We just returned today from 9 days at WDW - so I spent the last few weeks planning that trip - now that we are home I can jump into planning our cruise - just made my final payment.

This is a surprise for my DD's 11th b-day - her birthday is actually the 28th. We are keeping this a secret until Tuesady the 26th when we leave for the airport and then only telling her things as go - she won't know about the cruise until we arrive at the port. I know there are severalother children her age on this cruise, so hopefully we can somehow get to know each other and i Can tell Brenna about them when we board.

Count us in on the Fish Extender - it will be me, DH and Brenna (DD,11).

I think it would be great to organize a meet on the 28th - we could do 3pm near the goofy pool - that way ythe adults can meet and the kids can meet before going to the clubs. I know Brenna would love to have a friend(s) for the cruise - this will be her first time traveling without her sisters.

Count my family in for the Fish extenders. We are the Reynold/Williams family. Our daughter is 10.

Names: Rob, Sharon and our daughter, Lauren. This is our first Disney cruise. We have always wanted to go on a Disney cruise and with the "free" child offer we couldn't resist. I only wish it was a longer cruise. My daughter and I will be on a 7 day cruise in April for spring break on RCI--Voyager of the Seas.

I am anxiously awaiting for May 28th.

Hi Tammy! So happy to see so many fellow cruise mates! Our DS is 11 so he and your DD will be in the same group. Micah is excited about his first cruise. He is a Star Wars fanatic and loves animals....wants to be a zoo keeper some day.

Hi Sharon!

We can't wait for May 28th either. Every day we will say only XX days until we set sail. At least we are in the double digits now. This is our first cruise of any kind so really exicted. Our DS Micah is 11 and is looking forward to the Oceaners Lab. DD is 6 and excited about the kids club.....she has dubbed it "the princess club".

This is our first cruise, but 8th Disney stay (prior to cruising). It will be myself, DH, DD (9) and DD's friend (10). Thanks for organizing...this adds something else for the girls to look forward to!

We are staying after our cruise at WDW..for 10 days!! I am currently on hold to make my ADRS...25 minutes now and still holding! Oh well!

Like I said before..nothing elborate. I figure we can just do one FE gift for the enitre cruise. What I mean by this is each member will do a FE gift for each of the participates in the FE exchange for one night of the cruise. You can choose what day you want to distribute. Is that ok with everyone? Some do a FE exchange for each night of the cruise, just think that is too much! I am completely open to suggestions!!

This is my DS - Austin's 11th birthday on May 27th. This is a surprise for him, we will not be telling him anything until we wake up the morning of his birthday. He ask to go to the beach for his birthday so when I will wait until we get to the hotel before I tell him. (I am not good with secrets so if I make it til his birthday I will be doing good.)

It will be Me - Starla, DH - Lance, DS - Austin (11) - DS - Dustin (1). Our first cruise and 2 of us are so excited we can not stand it.

Hey Starla! What a coincidence!!!! My birthday is May 27th so a special happy birthday to your DS!!!! We will be celebrating my bday in the Magic Kingdom, then driving to the port on the morning of the 28th.

Hi everyone,

I'm just popping in since its been awhile. I can't believe May is creeping up on us!

I'm sorry we won't be participating in FE but hope to meet up with everyone on the 28th. It would be great if we (and the kids) can hang out and get to know each other. I'm also not sure how much they'll want to do the kids club and tear themselves away from the sunshine and the waterslide. Maybe at night... We'll see. We are planning on an Atlantis excursion. We regretted not doing it the last time.

We're flying in from NJ on May 22 (my 41st b-day) and staying at Pop Century. Until then I hope the next two months passes smoothly and quickly for everyone.

Wow! We are becoming quite a group--so exciting! Many 1st timers!! My kids and I are counting the days down every morning. DH is excited or should I say just ready for a vacation!!! He isn't sure why we talk about it morning, noon and night!!ha!ha!! Anyway, so happy to share in the excitement with many of you.
Is anyone heading back to Orlando airport after we depart the ship on Sunday and not traveling by Disney bus?

Counting down the days with you!!!!! Can't wait until Saturday when we can book excursions. We are only planning the stringray encounter on Castaway Cay. We plan to do the pirates museum in Nassau on our own.

We have lots of kids around the same age! Very exciting!! Only 77 more days!!

So what is everyones excursion plans? SSHIVERS...are you going to use flounders? I am torn..this would be the first time DS would be in child care that wasn't a family member, but I would really like to have some free time, maybe to do the spa, or enjoy Palos?

Anyone going to make any spa plans? I really want to do the couples villa thing, but 400 plus

So any plans for us to all meet at some point? We arrive the morning of the cruise and will be driving from the airport (our plane lands at 9am). Then staying at WDW for 10 days after the cruise
