May 28, 2005 Mexican Riviera

Thank you, Legal Briefs. :worship: :worship: :worship: You've made my day.

Jedisan, thanks for the updated list.

We are booked at the LAX South Embassy Suites for the 27th. We tried to book the Sheraton in February but it was full. We're planning to park at the port. It looks like it will be about a 30 minute ride from the hotel to the port. My kids and I love those Embassy Suites breakfasts.

Wow Ron (Legal)....whose teeth did you pull to get the info on our nights? Seems like we are in daily contact w/the disney folks and keep getting the "I dunno"....now where to find piratey things???? Or is ANYONE dressing up for pirate night as a pirate?

Thanks Alex for the info on the pins...sounds like it's at Disney's discretion what happens pin-wise!

I am getting so excited!
FYI...got my light up travel clock at Target today...they are under $4 and run on a battery if anyone still needs one to keep bedside!

Enchantedplayroom here (at Sandys house), I found some cute pirate things at Party City. They have paper pirate masks for $.99. They had little eye patches and mini telescopes and such too. Were planning on dressing up. Not sure if were gonna go all out with full costumes or not. We'll see. It would be fun though, I think.pirate:

Hi Chris,

Wasn't at first, but now I'm getting so excited, we just might! I just did a pirate costume search and there are tons of good websites with tons of pirate stuff! PM me if you need any website names.pirate: pirate: pirate:
Hope they tell us soon what the other theme nights are so if we need to order anything we can get it in time. Does anyone know if they are having 60's,70's or 80's night at the dance clubs and is anyone planning on attending/dressing up? I may need an extra suitcase!

Is anyone going into any of the parks tomorrow? We are going to Disneyland and I can hardly contain myself. I am so excited. I haven't seen the new fireworks yet but I hear they can make a grown man cry! No surprise, of course. I often cry from being overwhelmed with emotion at Disneyland. Anyway, just want to know if anyone else plans to fight the crouds tomorrow? :cloud9: :wizard: :mickeybar

THANK YOU!!!!! I thought I was the only doofus who cried during the fireworks. So, I guess that means it's OK to cry :cool2: and I'm not a doofus......just more sensitive that others!! :rolleyes1

Thanks LegalBriefs for the schedule. I would love to dress up for Pirate Night but I thought I read somewhere that the Pirate Night party starts at 10:00 or something? I doubt we will ever be able to be out that late with Ava. Kelly could probably handle it every now and then but it would be tough for Ava I think. Do people dress up in Pirate outfits for dinner or just for the late party?

Jedisan - one correction, Ava will be 21 months when we sail (not 2).

Thanks!!

Has anybody else gotten their reservations booked yet? We booked through a TA so I wasn't sure if I could do it. I just needed my reservation number and my birthdate. I've got Palo reservations for brunch and dinner, reservations for the Spa, and registered the kids.

Another interesting thing - It let me register for the 12:40 Paradise Beach Adventure in PV. When I'd called a few months ago, they said they didn't have a 12:40 departure for that tour. I also read that people who had reserved the 12:40 departure on our cruise were moved up to the earlier departure time. So, we'll wait and see what happens.

Wow, just went on the revised DCL website. We booked thru a TA too (AAA), but with our res number and my birthday were able to book Palo res,Brunch res and register Grace for Oceaneer Club! Like I said, this Dis Rocks!!!:cool1: I would of never of known we could do this online and now we don't have to stand in line at embarkation day. More pool time! Also saw my cabin number for the first time since I was a Cat 9 GTY...Cabin 5124, which I think is an upgrade?

Carrie-do you think we'll get our pagers the first time we drop off kids at Oceaneers ?

Carrie - You totally rocked. I didn't even think of checking the website again after several previous unsuccessful attempts. I practically squealed with delight when I read your post and went as quickly as I could to the site.

Sure enough, I was able to make the reservations!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Margaret, I wonder how that will work with the pagers. Hopefully, since we've preregistered they will have the pagers and the kids' bracelets all set when we check them in the first time.

Jedisan, I'm glad I could help. I had so much fun tonight making reservations. I really need to go to bed but I'm think I'll play with our reservations some more. :)

Carrie, thank you for the heads up! I immediately got online and took care of all my reservations. No more mad ressie rush to the ship during embarkation. I had considered signing up for the REAS package for these reasons, now there's no need. This is great!

Margaret, that's strange about the cabin assignment. Maybe Janner got an upgrade???

Hi, 528Cruiser. Glad you could get your reservations.

Looks like there are several of us who check these boards before we go to bed. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's on after midnight.

It's way past my bedtime too, but this is really exciting. On our first DCL cruise, we were at the port by 10:00 am and were one of the first families in line and we still could not get a Palo High Tea ressie. Now, with just a click of the mouse, it's confirmed and relieves alot of my stress on the first day. Well done DCL. More time at the pool and more time to enjoy the food, especially those Mickey bars. :cool1:

OMG- I didn't know I could do res online! I gotta go rush over to DCL before work!

Here's Hidden Mickey #5: If you gotta do laundry, you've gotta use soap so check your dispenser bubbles for a peek at the mouse!

Margaret-I found loads of places w/pirate costumes, but the ones I like are all over $100! I have a friend who runs a party store so I think I'm going to hit her up as I don't think there is a huge demand for her pirate costumes this time of year! THANKS

Ok you guys what have I missed over tha past 5 days? Brett got sick last Wednesday and is back in school today. Kate had to picked up early from school yesterday. OMG it's been a week of sick kids. Who is next? ME? YIKES!

Welcome to the new cruisers! This is going to be a fun cruise! :grouphug: :wave2:

We are booked into the Sheraton the night before, but are arriving very late. When is the Magic scheduled to dock? I hope it's late! Fingers crossed.

Thanks for all the info Legal Briefs! :worship:

Did I miss the thread which said we could make Palo ressies and register the kids? Can anyone do this? Do you have to specific cat.?

We've been watching the DL festivities on Good Morning America and are so jeolous. We wish we could be there today. Enjoy the fireworks! Grammie you are not alone. I get teary eyed when I hear the Magic's horn and watch the vacation planning DVD.

Glad to hear pirate: Pirate Night pirate: is on the Magic. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Feb. Wonder trip had Pirate's Night without the fireworks.

Check out the general thread. They're trying out new menus. Not quite sure if they're just for the repositioning or are for future cruises.

My DH should be picking up the docs today!

I pre-registered the kids on-line. That is great they have the on-line available. I was stressing out about the Palo reservations. It's nice to have that taken care of so we can just get on the ship and have fun.

Only 23 days left!!!! The excitement is bubbling over at this point. I'm not sure how I'll make it another three weeks.

Enchanted & Grammie - I cry everytime I watch the fireworks at Disneyland. I guess I better pack the extra large box of Kleenex for the trip. :rotfl2:

I made my Paradise beach adventure reservation last week and they told me they no longer had the 12:40 one. I would have preferred the later one, since it will be hard to get up with a little one and be there in time for the 7:40 excursion.

Regarding Paradise beach adventure:
Another interesting thing - It let me register for the 12:40 Paradise Beach Adventure in PV. When I'd called a few months ago, they said they didn't have a 12:40 departure for that tour. I also read that people who had reserved the 12:40 departure on our cruise were moved up to the earlier departure time. So, we'll wait and see what happens.

Poconoboatniks, I believe anyone can now make reservations for Palo and the Spa online. I read about it on the Cruise Line Forum. I thought it was only for people that had booked through DCL but gave it a try, just in case, and it worked. You just need your reservation number.

JPFamily, I thought that might be the case. I booked it in hopes that things had changed since I last checked. Thanks for the info. I won't even mention the excursion to my kids. The early departure is just too early for us.
