Dippy Dawg was Goofy's original name, first appearing in the 1932 cartoon "Mickey's Revue."

He was later known as Dippy the Goof;
became George Geef in the theatrical cartoons that featured him as a harried father;
was Super Goof in the superhero version of the comics;
and Max calls him Dad.

Wine Package- The wine package provides one bottle of wine per night (seven ) at a cost less than buying the wine each night. However if you buy a bottle of wine, you can have a partial bottle kept until the next night. Alex

Carrie - that is so scary about your son. I hope it was just a one time thing and that he will be fine going forward. I can see why you will be afraid on the cruise to leave him.

I like the guesses for the schedule for the cruise. I can't wait until we know for sure. :cool1:

I have my Mickey paint chips that I've put on lanyards but it sounds like I'd better run out and find a lime green hat. I doubt my husband, Mark, will want to wear one but I'm definitely game!

As for types of beers, I like mostly lighter beers (Bass, Harps, Fosters, Gordon Beirsch Pilsner) but Mark likes dark (Guinness). I also love good Champagne and red wine (as well as white sometimes!). Althoughy I've been on the South Beach Diet for quite a while so I'm not drinking much beer or white wine (red is ok).

Grammiegail - how is the diet and exercise going? Let's get together and go shopping next month before the cruise!!

Grammie, my Gail said if our tables are close she'll down a bottle of the good stuff with yah, maybe Bob and I can share one tables and the girls and the kids can continue with this chit chat. I am now thinking of not only wearing my green speedos at the pool, and at formal night wearing a lime green Johnny Carson leisure suit I spotted at the local Goodwill. Hey girls you want to find lots of hideous green attire go to the thrift shops there is lots of stuff normal people won't wear. :)
P.s.
for those lookin for the magnet paper, found it at Office Max and Target. $11.29 per 5
sheets 8.5X11. it is made by Avery.

Carrie- so sorry to hear about your son. That must have been sooo scary! I hope he continues to do well. If you don't mind my asking, what was it he had? Any other symptoms than a stomach ache? I'm sure in a month's time, you'll be able to assess his situation much better. The cruise will probably do you all good, and especially you after a scare like that.

I myself was off the boards for a while because one of my beloved dogs passed away suddenly and without warning. It was extremely hard as she was sooo sweet and all our dogs are members of our family..not "just dogs" or pets. I'll tell you, looking forward to and planning this cruise did help me have something to look forward to and distract me from the pain of missing her. I think by the time we take the cruise (almost just a month away!), I'll be mostly healed and it'll be a good thing for us all.

Moley- sorry to hear about your scare as well with your husband.

Here's a general wish for everyone's health and well being!:love:

Carrie/Moley, gosh hope all is OK now! Moley is right about the insurance piece. Cruise ships know that emergencies can happen and have plans already set up to get needed care immediately.

Beer :drinking1 - I'm a nut brown kind of gal and the DH likes ambers and pale ales. Neither one of us are big on lagers.

Wine anyone? - firsttimers - YIKES, a bottle a night. OK, that won't work because it will be just me :drinking:....unless we do happen to sit by The Man and Gail. That would work out great!

suesings, I'm doing pretty well......down 7 pounds! :cheer2: At least, that's what the scale said before we spent a 4-day weekend with challada and the grandkids! It was Alex's 10th b-day and, well, there was a little more eating and drinking than normal. On the exercise side, I did swim 25 minutes yesterday at Alex's party and walked to WalMart and back today. (Chris has caught a bug with a fever and sore throat that put her to bed and I couldn't get our son-in-law or my DH to go with me.) It wasn't too bad....35 minutes each way. The worst part was walking back up the hill with my two bags of goodies. :cool1: Shopping sounds great and I still have a Loehman's coupon that's still good. :bounce:

I am glad to see there is lot of people that have explored the many faces of beer that can be had, but as I would love to bring on one of my kegs and throw a real party, I don't think I can sneak one on the boat. I have process to allow me to use 2-ltr soda bottles for transport, so I will be bringing several of those. I will be fighting with my better half, who enjoys the sweeter beverages, for room in the cooler, so I hope I do not disappoint anyone, who thinks there will be everflowing beer from THE Man's room. :)
Problem with the lime green leisure suit, its as small as the speedos, but not as strechy, but since I am making a fashion statement for the group I'll try to squeeze into it atleast once. How would a Hot pink shirt look with it?
THE Man

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I think if you're wearing a LIME GREEN leisure suit... that doesn't fit...you might as well go all out with the pink shirt..and pray they let you in for the formal dinner.We'll back you up!!! :teeth: :cheer2:

Lime green and hot pink is sooooooooooo 60s! :cool2: I remember sewing a tennis outfit for 4-H that had hot pink :Pinkbounc , lemon yellow :tongue: and bright orange :crazy: flowers :flower2: printed on lime green :jumping2: fabric. It was an absolute hit! It got me a blue ribbon at the Illinois State Fair!!!!!!! So, I'd say "Go, Man, Go!" :thewave:

Hey guys, I just noticed the "Alarm Clock" on the packing list. This may sound like a dumb question but, can they do wake-up calls on a ship? :confused: Is there like a front desk or something? Ha ha ha. I must sound like a nerd! :yo-yo: I've never been on a ship before and I guess I never thought about it. :confused3

Hey Enchanted,

Yes, you can request Mickey to call you for a wake up call. The propeller clocks in the room are also alarm clocks and are pretty easy to set.

Carrie/Moley Glad to hear everyone is on the mend. We'll keep you guys in our prayers. Here's some pixie dust. :wizard:

Man, HOT PINK & lime green? Sounds like sherbert to me. :rotfl2:

It's snowing a little here in the Poconos. :confused3 Mexico is sounding really good right now. Poor ds is playing his first baseball scrimmage today and it's in the low 40's.

I am getting so excited. :Pinkbounc Every day we get closer and closer guys! My friend Jennifer is already sweating the 2 suitcase limit. :earseek: We go to Las Vegas for the weekend all the time and she brings at LEAST 4-5 bags for those trips. I'm not quite sure how she is going to survive with only 2. :confused3 Have you ever seen the luggage in Joe Vs. The Volcano? That's her ideal way to pack!

Suitcase Limit?!?!? There's a suitcase limit ?!?! Please say it isn't so... Is this in relation to cruise limits or flights?
