I will be brewing beer for the cruise in the next couple of days, anyone chime in if a particular style floats your boat. I was thinking a nice olde english bitter, with a hint of honey background more malty than hoppy taste. What do you guys think?
The Man

I've been off the list for a few days and it's taking me a while to get through the numerous posts. Don't be surprised if I post several in a row.

My husband also brews but he doesn't have a batch going right now, so he won't have time to get one complete before the cruise. I also enjoy a good homebrew. I ususally like Porter's, Red's, and IPA's. I don't like it too hoppy though. Will you let a "girl" join the beer drinking group?

I told my husband about the group getting together at Scoops and (even though he's a guy), he thought that sounded good. He liked the idea of meeting a bunch of people right away. But I'm sure there'll be plenty of time for beer drinking during the week.

Our Docs say:
Please limit the number of suitcasesyou bring on board to two (2) per person.
Guests may carry aboard one day bag plus a purse or briefcase. Carry-ons must not be larger than 9"X14"X22"

Sunday May 29, first day at sea. That night possible new show of Twice Charmed, dinner casual, regular fare at rotation restaurant.

Monday May 30, second day at sea. That night Formal?, showing of Golden Mickeys maybe, regular fare at third rotation restaurant.

I've been thinking this through also and I think you are real close. The only thing I differ with you on is the Formal night. Although some of the recent cruises had formal night on monday, most of them (including the latest posted navigators from 04/02/05) had formal night on Sunday. I think that makes more sense for us, because otherwise we would end up having formal and semi-formal in the same restaurant.

I GET TO DO THE DOC DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question of the Day:

Donald, that lucky ducky, has been credited with two birthdays. The first is what day as seen in "The Three Caballeros" ? And what is his offical Disney birthdate, based on his first appearance in "The Wise Little Hen" ?

good luck!

Wine Package- The wine package provides one bottle of wine per night (seven ) at a cost less than buying the wine each night. However if you buy a bottle of wine, you can have a partial bottle kept until the next night. Alex

I can confirm that they will recork your bottle for the next night. We also had the wine package last cruise and we didn't stick to the one per night. You can mix it up and have some at lunch or in a lounge also. We had them open one bottle in the lounge and then send it to dinner for us. We also had a glass with lunch one day. One night we took the bottle back to our room with us. It really is pretty flexible.

Thanks Sandy for the Luggage Limit update. I may have to take over my kids' suitcases ;)

Anyone going on the shore excursion where you zip line through the trees? I have always wanted to do that and my DH and I are so excited to try it together for the first time! :earseek:

We're on the Canopy Adventure. We are on the one at 8:15. What time is yours (there were 5 different times)?

YES, we are also on the 8:15 AM flight thru the trees... I don't know what is wrong with my mother booking this at the crack of dawn.. its still gonna be wet outside, spider webs will be fresh, we'll be the first ones to plow thru them, face first on this stupid zip line thing... Well, I guess its gonna be wet outside all day since it is a RAIN FOREST. but we'll have fun. Glad you will be there too, you can go first. hehehe... Muhaahahahaha

Donald's first birthday was Friday the 13th; but then Disney edited that to June 9, based on his screen debut.

EnchantedPlayroom takes another!

who still doesn't have her documents and is getting grumpy-jealous, but probably just needs a snack

ATTENTION CRUISERS!!! There has been a change in dinner seating times. When my docs arrived they handed me a paper that says........

"Due to guest feedback, there will be a slight change in the rotational dining times. Guests currently schedualed on Main Dining will be assigned a dining time of either 5:45pm, 6:00pm, or 6:15pm. Concurrently, guests scheduled on Second Dining will be assigned seating times of either8:00pm, 8:15pm or 8:30 p.m. It is our hope that these staggered dining times will provide for greater ease of movement throughout the ship and prior to and following the dinner service. All guests should check their dining tickets located in their stateroom upon arrival for their assigned time and restaurant location. In addition, each evenings entertainment options will be revised to compliment the revised dining times. Nightly entertainment options will be detailed in the Personal Navigator that guests will recieve in their stateroom."

Wow, so they are staggering the dinnertimes by 15 minutes throughout the night? That seems kind of hard for the waitstaff, doesn't it?? Or I guess they are having a whole table at the same time. I guess that is the only way that would make sense. They wouldn't have one family show up at 6:00 and then their tablemates show up 15 min. later, right?

I would love to have the 6:15 spot!!!!!

 Hey! We got our Docs, and now are so excited my DD9 :earsgirl: thinks we need to read all the Docs, and make sure we don't miss anything! My DS7 :earsboy: Thinks that half of us aren't going, since only 1 cabin arrived today! :hourglass

MOMMUYUF3 ~ Our docs came in shifts also. Half our party came last week and the rest, today. Tell your DS not to worry.

We're already got our docs and are dancin' everytime some else gets their docs. Enjoy. I kept looking at our docs. to make sure everything was there. I didn't notice the staggered dinner times, but I had read somewhere else that they trying the new times on the Wonder. I didn't think that they would change the times on the Magic so soon. :confused3

Yeah, my AAA lady said they had JUST handed them they memo about the dinner times. The surprises keep coming! New shows, new dinner times, and who KNOWS what's up with the POTC nights and such.

I want to get back to being able to post with y'all and also keep a running score with a special trivia name, so this one is still Rebecca "rccllap" but will from this point on just post the question of the day with the running score in the signature box. My normal name reverts back to me just being me!

For fun, how 'bout another question to celebrate so many people getting their cruise documents?

??:
