May 27th 2007 Wonder Cruise. Anyone else on it?

One of the other attorneys in my firm is going on Wonder in January, not sure which date, as part of a 3 generation extended family cruise (the same way we did our first DCL cruise) and so I constructed a powerpoint presentation, mostly photos, for him and his DW, and loaned them my Passporter book.

With the drydock changes coming up, is it definite that Hercules is going away and that we will see Twice Charmed in its place?

I am so excited!!! :cool1: we are now booked on this May 27th cruise. My family are oldpro's at WDW but we have NEVER cruised before. It will be my self, DH, DD12 and DS10. I have tried to go thru and catch up on this thread but there's sooo much info out there. i have not been able to read every post.

I do have some questions... Are there other girls age 12 I could introduce my daughter too? and is there a plan for Dis members to meet after boarding?

:disrocks:

Hi ALDISNEYFAN! :wave2:

I added you to our list. It is on page 6, post 90 and has a list of all of us and our kids' ages. :)

You ask about potential friends for DD, but what about DS? I've got a DS, 10, as well.

I see you are from Huntsville--DW grew up there, we were married there, she graduated Huntsville High in '84, my father in law still lives there.

We are going on our first Disney cruise also. We, like ALDisneyfan, are WDW pros. I will be celebrating a BIG b'day (#40). If I have to turn 40, I can't think of a better way to celebrate. It will be myself, DH, DS (12) and DS (8). We just returned from WDW this evening and I am now counting down to the cruise. Please add us to the list for the May 27th sailing :)

Checking in for the May 27th 4-day Wonder! This will be the 2nd cruise for me, DD (30) and DGS (8). We sailed last April and rebooked while still on the cruise. We are already getting our plans organized. 5/27/2007 can't come fast enough!
:cool1:

Thanks for adding us to the list. It is an easy drive for us (in NE Georgia) to CC. Last year we spent the night in Daytona Beach - right across the street from the Daytona Speedway - it is so much bigger than I ever dreamed!! Sunday morning, we hopped in the car and drove the 1 1/2 hours to the port and parked. We had stopped at the FLA Welcome Center and picked up the huge magazine jam packed full of hotel coupons, so the Holiday Inn where we stayed was only 62.00 for the 3 of us - a deal! I think we will do the same next May since it worked out so well.

We're in Marietta and my DH and I just got back from a quick trip to WDW. We broke a new record - 6 hours from our house to the WDW entrance sign! (Course, our girls weren't with us - that adds about another hour!) We used the new toll road off the turnpike. It was fantastic!

Hey all! Is anyone going to the park after the cruise? Did you get your ADRs yet? Where are you all eating?

Yup, our ADR's are all booked. We are doing just a 4 day stay after the cruise, so we have ADRs for Boma, Sci Fi and Chef's de France.

Hey guys! Long time since our thread was moving. Hope everyone is having a nice holiday season. :goodvibes

We're not going to WDW before or after our cruise, but we're going in a few weeks. I just posted this on the DCL board and didn't get any posts back, what do you guys think? My girls still don't know about the cruise and I'm trying to think of a fun way to tell them.

Suggestions on surprising the kids?

Last Christmas we did a pirate themed treasure hunt and surprised our girls with a DCL trip that was in January. They loved the cruise and don't know we have booked another one for May. I didn't want to surprise them again at Christmas cause I don't want them to think every Christmas they'll be getting a cruise.

We're going to WDW for NYE and I was thinking about surprising them on either NYE night or New Year's Day. I just won two DCL trading pins off ebay and I was thinking about putting the pins on their lanyards and then telling them. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? We have a character meal booked for both NYE night and New Year's Day morning. I was thinking about maybe getting one of the characters involved in some way. I dunno. I'd love any ideas!

Thanks!

Are you doing dinners? I actually booked 50s Prime Time and Liberty Tree Tavern for 2:00 - hoping then for later quick counter service meals. Hoping that works on those days.

I don't think you can go wrong with anything you do!!! They will be so excited!!!

I'm just bumping before this thread falls out of my limits! :)
What excursions are you all planning???:cool1:

There hasn't been much chatter around here, has there? I hope everyone had a great Holiday. I actually don't plan on doing any excursions. We will just do our own thing at Nassau.

Hey everyone, add me to the list! My wife and I are doing our first cruise and its with all of you! :) We're big time WDW lovers so we thought we would give this a try. We also booked for the radisson and the 10am ride over (I'm still worried about getting palo's at the 75 day window)

I am sure I will bother everyone w. lots of questions betw. now and then, but my first question is do the DISers get tables for dinner together so we know the people we eat with? (my wife is a little nervous about this)

anyway, glad to come aboard with everyone!

Welcome aboard! We're getting closer!

I just reserves a room at Radisson Resort at the Port and am very excited. The reservation person quoted me a rate of $169 (this is the parking package rate). I asked to be transfered to the shuttle desk to reserve a spot on the shuttle, and was told I didn't have to book the parking package in order to park for the cruise. He changed my rate to $119 a night. I am so excited. We are also on the 10:00 shuttle. I can't wait to start celebrating my birthday (even though it is a month late)!!! :yay:
